Local racing fans in the Tri-State area will once again have the capacity to take a short ride and take in the sights of the new race cars being prepared for the 2015 racing season. The Phillipsburg Mall is prepped and polished to welcome in the 2015 edition of the popular eighth edition of the IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show. The Phillipsburg Mall is located off Route 22 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey and opening day is set for Sunday, March 1st with a salute to all of the racetracks with a special emphasis on the great racing that took place at the speedways located in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, including the half mile, and both the paved and dirt versions of the larger National speedway which closed after the 2004 racing season. The show will end on March 7th.

The past, present and the future of auto racing is visited and well represented throughout the show and has always encompassed the majority of the local short track scene. The show will be open to all ages whether they are racers or fans and are more than welcome to come every day of the show as each day of the show will feature auotgraph and interview sessions with the some of the great legends of racing as well as the budding new talent which will keep racing flourishing for many years to come.

Event organizer Bob Miller remarked, "It is with great pleasure we will return once again to the Phillipsburg Mall and we are proud to host the IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show for all of our great racing fans in the Tri-State area. It is hard to believe this is the eighth year for us doing the show but from day one we have enjoyed putting the event together and still witnessing the solid support from the drivers, owners, fans and all of the historical racing groups and current day speedways." Miller further added, "Our staff is busy working on the schedule and and very shortly will have it posted for everyone to make plans to attend."

The Phillipsburg, New Jersey based IRCO Community Federal Credit Union will once again add their solid support to the event. IRCO has been on board since the inception of the show and the IRCO staff will be handing out information regarding their services throughout the event. Greg Collins, the vice president at IRCO as well as the noted historian of the Harmony Speedway remarked, "I always look forward to this great event as being a boy sitting in the stands at the Harmony Speedway, I cheered for many of the driving legends who come out and support the show. For me it is like life coming full circle and adds the ultimate fond memories we will hold on to for the rest of our lives. I can't wait for the show to begin."

The Phillipsburg Mall will see a full display of race cars from all divisions of racing including both dirt and pavement cars as well as go karts and quarter midgets and everything in between. As racing fans we will preserve all of the memories from seeing the legends race and gaining far more knowledge when the fans have the opportunity to chat with many of the legendary drivers who will be making special appearances at the Mall during the week long event. All historical racing groups including Reading, Flemington, Harmony and Nazareth will have their memorabilia on display and their many scrapbooks open for the fans to take another long look at the glory years of racing and possibly find a picture or two they want to purchase as a keepsake from past glory or racing exploits.

The fans can visit the Dirt Track Heroes Car Show and on any given night, meet the guys and gal drivers who pilot these four-wheel high-powered race cars. Many race tracks participate in this event as a way to distribute their yearly racing schedules for the upcoming season and to meet and greet their loyal fans and hopefully win over some new fans to attend racing events at their respective facilities. The show remains free to the public as it has been since first landing at the Phillipsburg Mall eight years ago.

In previous events, cars on display included big block and small block Modifieds, Sportsman, all divisions of Micro-Sprints, ARDC Midgets, all divisions of Sprint Cars, Slingshots, Stage One Modifieds, X-Cel Modifieds, Late Models, SpeedSTRS, Go-Karts and a broad variety of vintage and restored race cars. New Egypt, Bridgeport, Hamlin, Accord, Action Track USA, Borger's and Snydersville will again be among the many speedways involved with the 2015 edition of the show. The week-long event will set aside one evening to salute the "Stars of Tomorrow" with a special night for the budding young racing talents competing with the many quarter midget clubs in the area and this night has proven to be one of the highlights of the week as many of the youngsters will be giving their first ever interviews to a large crowd.

For the eighth consecutive year, former Gasoline Alley show hosts Ed and Steve Pados will host the nightly events and interviews along with longtime racing personality Bobby Stull and former Lake Mocatek Speedway co-announcer Justin Beltrame.

The Dirt Track Heroes Car Show will again offer a great keepsake event souvenir program book and shirt. The Phillipsburg Mall is open Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM; Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM.
