Mandee Pauch Relations – May 1st, 2017 – It was a fifty-fifty weekend for Pauch Jr. who had two top five finishes and two bad ones this past weekend.

“Overall though, it was a solid weekend for us,” Pauch Jr. said.

Pauch Jr.’s weekend started off Friday night at Big Diamond Speedway. Pauch qualified second in his heat race after starting sixth.

“We started eighth in the feature,” Pauch Jr. said. “We were able to take the lead around lap ten. Unfortunately we were kind of holding on. Craig (Von Dohren) was a little better than us and got me on the restart.”

Saturday saw Pauch Jr. at his home track, New Egypt Speedway. Pauch Jr. rolled off eighth in his heat and battled his way through to a third place finish.

On card Saturday at New Egypt Speedway were twin-twenties. The first feature Billy started seventeenth due to handicapping. “We drove up to fifth and unfortunately got a left rear flat tire,” noted Pauch Jr. “We made it back out and made it back up to twelfth.”

Thanks to the invert draw of twelve, Pauch Jr. started on the pole for the second twin twenty feature. “I was able to hold off for the win and pick up win number two of the year.”

Closing out the three-day race weekend, Pauch Jr. went to Bridgeport Speedway on Sunday.

With luck of the draw Pauch Jr. started on the pole in his heat race and was able to pick up the win.

“After the heat race we felt like we were okay,” Pauch Jr. said. “We redrew sixth for the feature. We were making ground and were up to fourth when the motor blew up.”

Overall, Pauch Jr. was happy with his weekend. Next up Pauch Jr. will be at Big Diamond Speedway this Friday, May 5th and Saturday at New Egypt Speedway on May 6th. Pauch Sr. will be back at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, May 6th.
