EDDIE WAGNER LEADS THE DELAWARE AUTO EXCHANGE MID-ATLANTIC SPRINT SERIES TO DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY SATURDAY MAY 5TH
DELMAR, DE

Eddie Wagner of Newfield, NJ is beginning the 2018 season just where he left of in 2017, currently leading the Delaware Auto Exchange Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series points chase as they head south to Delaware International Speedway on Saturday, May 5th. Wagner, who has won the last two MASS events at Bridgeport Speedway, on the 5/8th mile and most recently on the 3/8th mile track, is the currently defending his 2017 MASS Championship title. He is usually the force to beat at the South Jersey facility and hopes to bring his success to a different track, starting this weekend.

“Last weekend was honestly one of the most fun races that I have ever been a part of,” Wagner said. “Hopefully we can build off of that finish, and have a strong run at Delaware, a track that I love and have been to a lot when I raced URC. Mark Cathell and his staff at DIS do a great job and have been a pleasure to work with, so I hope we can put a good show on for them, and of course the fans!”

Tim Tanner Jr., last year’s Delaware International Speedway winner, is looking to defend his 2017 victory after a top ten finish last week at Bridgeport.

“I am excited to be heading back down to Delaware this weekend,” Tanner explained. “My family will be with me and I’m really happy to be able to have them in the pits area with us! I learned a lot from last year’s show, so I look forward to applying what we know now, and we’ll see if we can make it to victory lane again!”

Bordentown, NJ’s Larry Mc Vay, who earned the hard charger award for his efforts in going from 20th to 3rd at Bridgeport, is slated to join the hefty field of drivers committed to make the tow to the Southern Delaware ½ mile oval. Jeff Geiges, Tyler Reinhardt, Rick Stief, Bryant Davis, Joe Kay, Scott Frack, Brendon Poff, Zack Burd, David Graber, Harris Kohen, Austin Bishop, John Yanek, along with rookies Jason Dunn, Chad Connor, Dan Leaper, Dom Melair, Cj Faison, and Reid Mitchell are all entries to expect this Saturday night with more showing support in the coming days.

In addition to the advertised purse, MASS’ associate sponsor Engler Machine and Tool will be sponsoring the front row starters for the feature events with two free raffle tickets for the $3,800 injection. Thayer Performance will be handing out a BRAND NEW Hoosier Racing Tire Racesaver Spec Right Rear tire to the Hard Charger of the night. Also, Kelly Racing Fuels, the official Fuel sponsor of the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series, will be beginning their “Hard Charger of the Month” campaign this weekend at DIS, and information on that will be released this week.
