Patrick Carpentier... Born ... Canadian race car driver. He is best known for his career in the Champ Car World Series and the IndyCar Series. Patrick also drove for Gillett Evernham Motorsports in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Bobby Allen won the Super Sprint Car race at the Williams Grove Speedway, Mechanicsburg, PA. Lynn Paxton was second followed by Herman Wise, Johnny Grum and Ken Slaybaugh.
Danny Caruthers won the 50-lap USAC Midget race at the Hales Corners Speedway, Hales Corners, WI. Gary Bettenhausen was second followed by Larry Rice, Merle Bettenhausen, Mel Cornett, Larry (Boom Boom) Cannon and Jimmy Caruthers.
