Patty Moise... Born ... A former NASCAR driver. She drove in five Winston Cup races from 1987 to 1989, and 133 Busch Series races from 1986 to 1998. She is the wife of former fellow NASCAR driver Elton Sawyer.

Brad Loyet won the Lucas Oil Bull Ring Midget Nationals at the Kemper Arena, Kansas City, MO. Danny Lasoski finished second followed by Brad Kuhn, Shane Cockrum, Don Droud Jr., Jerry Coons Jr., Kyle Hamilton, Zach Daum, Shane Hmiel, Bryan Clauson, Dave Darland and Levi Jones.
Pete Bicknell won the opening round of the Roosters Cup at the Maryborough Speedway in Australia.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the inaugural running of the Junior Knepper 55 USAC Midget race at the Southern Illinois Center in DuQuoin, Illinois. Bryan Clauson was second followed by Spencer Bayston, Andrew Felker and Chase Briscoe.

Thomas Messeraull won the 20-lap first preliminary night Gateway Nationals Midget feature inside the St. Louis Super Dome, St. Louis, MO. Justin Grant was second followed by Blake Hahn, Chris Windom and Logan Seavey.
Shannon Babb won the 20-lap first preliminary night Super Late Model feature inside the St. Louis Super Dome, St. Louis, MO.
