Troy Ruttman won the AAA big-car sprint race at Bay Meadows' one-mile dirt track. at the Bay Meadows Speedway, San Mateo, CA. A Bay Meadows crowd of 5,615 watched Troy Ruttman, driving promoter J.C. Agajanian's JR car in which Johnny Mantz set the previous AAA 25-mile sprint car record over a one mile track at Atlanta in 1949, win the 25-mile feature in record time of 15 minutes, 15.45 seconds, finishing a half lap ahead of Johnny Parsons. Ruttman led qualifiers with another AAA one-mile sprint car record of 36.72 seconds, or 98.03 miles an hour, besting Tommy Hinnershitz' March 29, 1949 mark of 37.80, or 95.23 mph, at Atlanta GA ... Legendary Clay Smith tuned Ruttman's winning car.

Brady Short won the second night of the 11th annual Open Wheel Modified Winternationals Championship Stock Car race at the East Bay Raceway Park, Tampa, FL. Rodney Wing was second followed by Buzzie Reutimann, Roger Crouse and Dale Mathison.

Andy Jankowiak won the 40-lap TQ Midget race to claim his fourth Gambler’s Classic at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall. Jankowiak capitalized on an unexpected tangle involving race leader Ryan Flores and second-place contender Tanner VanDoren relegating both to the back of the field , Flores for a spin and VanDoren by penalty for assisting. Kyle Lick was second followed by Briggs Danner, Matt Janisch, Joey Bailey, Trevor Catalano, Andrew Molleur, Matt Swanson, Scott Kreutter, Bobby Holmes, Tim Buckwalter, Billy Pauch, Jr., Ryan Flores, Jonathan Reid, Tanner VanDoren, Anthony Payne, Ryan Smith, Jeremy Haudricourt, Ryan Bartlett, Tyler Lindsay, Ryan Tidman, Tommy Catalano, Shawn Nye, Tyler Thompson, Mike Christopher and Anthony Sesely, The 25-lap Boardwalk Hall Champ Kart feature was won by Logan Crisafulli for the second year in a row. Todd Crenshaw finished second Milton Decker, Preston DeMello and Ryan Kendall completed the top five feature finishers. The slingshots ran a 25-lap feature with Brett Bieber taking the checkered flag. Scott Neary was second followed by Dylan Hoch, Danny, Danny Spellmon and Chris Laureigh. The 20-lap Dirt 600 Micro Sprints feature was won by Kyle Lick Tim Buckwalter finished second and Kyle Spence third.
Ricky Thornton Jr. won the 60-lap Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series feature at the Golden Isles Speedway, Waynesville, Ga. Chris Madden was second followed by Jonathan Davenport, Brandon Overton, Devin Moran, Mike Marlar, Ryan Gustin, Hudson O’Neal, Brandon Sheppard, Ross Robinson, Donald McIntosh, Daulton Wilson, Darrett Alberson, Max Blair, Cody Overton, Tyler Erb, Kyle Bronson, Spencer Hughes, Blair Northdurft, Brian Shirley, Garrett Smith, Clay Harris, Earl Pearson Jr., Daniel Adam, Boom Briggs, Tim McCreadie, Jimmy Owens, Drake Troutman.
Ryan Timms won the 30-lap Germfree Southern Sprint Car Shootout at the Volusia Speedway Park, Barberville, Fla. Justin Peck finished second followed by Sam Hafertepe Jr , Austin McCar,Danny Dietrich, Cameron Martin, Davie Franek, Danny Martin Jr, Tyler Clem and Eric Riggins Jr.
