Mel Kenyon won the Turkey Night Grand Prix USAC Midget race at the Speedway 605 , Irwindale, CA. Roy Cook was second followed by Larry Patton, Johnny Parsons and Chuck Gurney.
Wally Pankratz won the USAC Midget race over Doug Kalitta, Page Jones, Dave Strickland Jr and Tony Elliott at the Imperial Valley Speedway, El Centro,CA.
Jason Meyers won the Sprint Car race at the Bakersfield Speedway ,Bakersfield,CA. Jason Statler finished second followed by Peter Murphy, Brent Kaeding, Joey Saldana and Danny Lasoski.
Tony Stewart won the USAC Sprint Car race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (1/3p),Las Vegas,NV. Jeff Gardner finished second followed by Tracy Hines, Brian McClish and Kevin Feeney.
Tony Stewart won the USAC Midget race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (1/3p),Las Vegas,NV. Dave Darland finished second followed by J.J. Yeley, Ron Gregory and Bobby East.
