Spider Webb won the 20 lap AAA Midwest Sprint Car race at the Salem Speedway in Salem, IN.
Paul Russo won the 100-lap Chicago Auto Racing Assn. Midget race over Ronnie Householder, Sam Hanks, Johnnie Parsons and Bob Muhlke in front of 24,382 fans at the Soldier Field in Chicago, IL. Henry Banks won the 50-lap semi.
