Ralph Liguori... Born ... NASCAR Grand National, USAC Midget, Sprint, Silver Crown & Indy Car Driver from the 1950's, 60's & 70's. He competed in the USAC Championship Car series from 1957 to 1971 making 61 starts. His best finish was 2nd place at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Speedway in 1970. 1966 was his most active year, when he made 7 starts and finished 28th in the National Championship. He attempted the Indianapolis 500 six times (1959, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1967, and 1968) but he failed to make the field each time. Liguori continued racing well into his 70's and won a minor race in 2000 at 73 years old.
Arnie Knepper... Born ... USAC driver 1950's to 1983. He drove Midgets, Sprints and the USAC Championship Car series, racing in the 1963-1972 seasons, with 75 career starts, including the 1965-1969 Indianapolis 500 races. He finished in the top ten 21 times, with his best finish in 3rd position twice in 1966.
Ted Horn... Died ... AAA driver from the 1930's and 40's. Ted Horn has the best 9-year streak of finishes in Indianapolis 500 history. Over his Indianapolis 500 career, Ted Horn completed 1944 out of a possible 2000 laps (97%).
Bill Holland won the AAA Eastern Sprint Car race at the Williams Grove Speedway,Mechanicsburg, PA.
Johnnie Parsons won the DuQuoin 100 AAA Champ Car race at the 1 Mile Dirt Oval DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, DuQuoin,IL. Paul Russo was second followed by Bill Sheffler, Myron Fohr and Hal Cole.
Neal Carter won the AAA Midget race at the 1-mile dirt Langhorne Speedway, Langhorne, PA.
A.J. Foyt won the Hut Hundred USAC Midget race over Bobby Grim and Chuck Rodee at the Terre Haute Action Track , Terre Haute,IN.
Johnny Rutherford won the USAC Sprint Car race at the Winchester Speedway, Winchester,IN. Roger McCluskey finished second followed by Al Smith, Bobby Unser and Arnie Knepper.
Steve Cannon won the Sprint Car race at the Springfield Speedway, Springfield,IL.
Ronnie Franklin won the Hub-City National Open 150 Modified race at the Hagerstown Speedway, Hagerstown, MD. Lynn Geisler was second followed by Tom Peck, Jeff Robinson and Dale Kerstetter.
Shannon Babb won the Janiking Southern Showdown World of Outlaws Late Model race at the Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway, Concord, NC.. Mike Balzano finished second followed by Darrell Lanigan, Steve Francis, Tim McCreadie, Rick Eckert and Chub Frank.
Thomas Radivoy won the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series Non-Winners Sprint Car race at the Bridgeport Motorsports Park, Bridgeport, NJ. Tim Iulg was second followed by Dan Leaper, Jeff Paulson and Bob Lilick.
Carson Macedo won the World of Outlaws Sprint Car race at the New Egypt Speedway, New Egypt, NJ. Logan Schuchart was second followed by David Gravel, Buddy Kofold and Sheldon Haudenschild.
Brent Marks won the High Limit Sprint Car race at the Lakeside Speedway, Kansas City, KS. Aaron Reutzel was second followed by Brad Sweet, Chase Randall and Brenham Crouch.
Mat Williamson won the Salute To The Troops 150 358 Modified race at the Oswego Speedway, Oswego, NY. Matt Sheppard was second followed by Alex Payne, Jimmy Phelps, Felix Roy, Darren Smith, Larry Wight, Peter Britten, Ryan Godown and Jessica Friesen.
Chase Dietz won the Kramer Williamson Memorial Sprint Car race at the Selinsgrove Speedway, Selinsgrove, PA. Danny Dietrich finished second followed by Brock Zearfoss, Gerard McIntyre Jr and Jake Karklin. In the URC 360 Sprint Car Feature it was Davie Franek over Michael Walter, Josh Weller, Seth Schnoke and Scott Wilson. The 358 Wingless Sprint Feature was won by Tony Jackson
Doug Dodson won the 305 Sprint Car race at the BAPS Motor Speedway, York Haven, PA. Christian Rumsey was second followed by Logan Spahr, Owen Dimm and Jarrett Cavalet.
