Bob McClean won the 50 lap USAC Midget race at the Memorial Coliseum, Ft Wayne, IN.

George Constantine... Died ... F1 driver. Constantine won the SportsCar Race at Watkins Glen in 1956 and NASSAU Trophy in 1959.
Mel Kenyon ,driving the Kenyon Brothers # 61, won the 50 lap USAC Midget race at the Memorial Coliseum, Ft Wayne, IN.

Johnny Parsons ,driving the Richard Heerboth # 48, won the 75 lap USAC Midget race at the Memorial Coliseum, Ft Wayne, IN.

Sleepy Tripp won the prestigious 30-lap World Derby speedcar (midget) race at the Western Springs Speedway, Auckland, New Zealand.

Steve Lotshaw ,driving the Harry Lotshaw # 2, won the 75 lap USAC Midget race at the Memorial Coliseum, Ft Wayne, IN.

Randy Kinser won the $20,000 Castrol Grand National Sprint Car race at the Liverpool Speedway, Sydney, Australia.

Honda announced that starting in 1994, they will become an engine supplier in the CART PPG World Series.

2007
Bobby Hamilton... Died ... Hamilton had three wins in the former NASCAR Winston Cup series in a roughly-10-year Cup career, then stepped back to the Craftsman Truck Series and turned his own team into a championship effort, winning the 2004 title. Hamilton died of neck cancer, he was 49.
