USAC.. The United States Auto Club (USAC) sanctioned it's first race, a Midget race indoors on a 1/10 mile oval on the concrete floor of the Allen County Coliseum Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The race was won by Indy 500 veteran Gene Hartley.

Bobby Allen won the 50 lap Georgia-Florida Championship Supermodified race on the 1/2 mile clay Jacksonville Speedway, Jacksonville, FL. Herman Wise was second followed by Cliff Cochran, Dave Scarborough and Doug Meeler.

Nick Rescino won the 25-lap Bay Cities Racing Assn. indoor midget race at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds 1/10 mile paved oval in Santa Rosa, Calif.. Chuck Gurney was second followed by Jack Walker, Floyd Alvis and Hank Butcher.
Wayne Shugart won the 40-lap NASCAR Late Model Sportsman race over Eddie MacDonald Sr., Bill Mishoe, Eddie MacDonald Jr., and Eldon Yarbrough at the Jacksonville Speedway, Jacksonville FL.

Tanner Carrick won the 30-lap Monday’s Cummins Qualifying Night opening the 38th annual Chili Bowl Nationals powered by NOS Energy at the Tulsa Expo Raceway under the massive roof of the SageNet Center in Tulsa, Okla.. Shane Golobic finished second followed by Michael Pickens, Chase Briscoe, Chris Windom, Cannon McIntosh, Trey Marcham, Joe B Miller, Nick Hoffman and Gary Taylor.
Logan Seavey won the 25-lap O'Reilly Auto Parts Race of Champions race over Tyler Courtney, Cannon McIntosh, Karter Sarff, Chase Briscoe, Tanner Thorson, Hank Davis, Spencer Bayston, Corey Day, Zach Daum, David Gravel, Jesse Love, Brent Crews, Ricky Thornton Jr, Kaylee Bryson, Sammy Swindell, Jade Avedisian, Tim McCreadie, Justin Grant and Brandon Waelti.
