Finishing 2nd, 7 laps behind Keene was Jack Smith in a Chrysler powered car with Buck Baker 3rd, another 7 laps back in his Cadillac powered machine. Frankie Schneider was 6th, Jiggs Peters 9th and Wally Campbell 16th. The second race for NASCAR's Champ Car division started 17 cars, but just 7 were running at the finish.
