Bill Holland won the AAA Allentown Fair Sprint Car race at the Allentown Fairgrounds, Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Bernie Kelly won the Midget race at the Sharon Speedway,Hartford, OH.
Fred Carpenter , driving the Hoppe #4, won the 25-lap AAA Eastern Sprint Car race on the 5/8 mile paved Thompson Speedway in Thompson, CT.
Ted Horn , driving the Horn #1, won the 25 lap AAA Eastern Sprint Car race at the Dover Speedway in Dover, NJ.
Spider Webb won the AAA Midwest Sprint Car race at the Winchester Speedway, Winchester, IN.

Emory Collins won the IMCA Sprint Car race at the Kansas State Fairgrounds, Hutchinson, KS.

Bill Schindler won the AAA Eastern Sprint Car race over Tommy Hinnershitz at the Eastern States Expo Speedway, West Springfield, MA.

1952
Eddie Sachs won the AAA Eastern Sprint Car race at the Shelby Fairgrounds, Shelby, NC.
Mike Nazaruk won the AAA Sprint Car race over Joe James and Tommy Hinnershitz at the Terre Haute Action Track, Terre Haute, IN.
Frank Luptow was killed at the Lakwood Speedway in Atlanta, GA during the AAA Stock Car race which was won by Marshall Teague. That day he was scheduled to race in the AAA Sprint Car race in Indiana, but then he opted for the stock car division event at Lakewood. At the time of his death Luptow was second in points after Marshall Teague in the AAA stock car championship.

Mario Andretti won the USAC sanctioned Trenton 300 on the 1.5 Mile Paved Oval Trenton International Speedway in Trenton, NJ. Roger McCluskey was second followed by Bud Tingelstad, Sam Sessions and George Snider.

1973
Kenny Weld wins the only USAC race of his career. The victory came at the Reading Fairgrounds in a sprint car built by Floyd Trevis and owned by Bob Weikert. All three are in the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame .

Gordon Johncock won the USAC sanctioned Trenton 150 on the 1.5 Mile Paved Oval Trenton International Speedway in Trenton, NJ. A.J. Foyt was second followed by Johnny Rutherford, Al Unser and Wally Dallenbach.
Richard Petty won the NASCAR Winston Cup Wilkes 400 over Cale Yarborough at the North Wilkesboro Speedway, North Wilkesboro, NC.

Bobby Allison won the NASCAR Winston Cup Holly Farms 400 over Darrell Waltrip at the North Wilkesboro Speedway, North Wilkesboro, NC.
