STEWART FRIESEN ENTERS MODIFIED JERSEY RUSH, DEWEASE TO DEFEND ONE LAP TRACK RECORD AT NEW EGYPT
Modified driver Stewart Friesen is a recent entry for the modified portion of the JERSEY RUSH 2 that will take place on Tuesday night, August 21 at the New Egypt Speedway.
Friesen was the winner of the Spring running of the Cabin Fever event at New Egypt Speedway and on Tuesday night, he will pilot the Tad Park’s #1 in chase of the $3,000 first place prize in the 30 lap modified feature. 410 Sprint star Lance Dewease will be looking to set a new one lap track record during the CnB Mushroom time trials. Fast time is worth a $100 bonus and the current one lap track record is 14.193, set on August 30, 2011 at New Egypt and set by Lance Dewease.
The Jersey Rush 2 is a blockbuster doubleheader that will showcase the 410 Sprints and Modifieds on Tuesday night, August 21 at the New Egypt Speedway. The CnB Time Trials will open the program for the 410 sprints at 7:30 PM. Qualifying events will follow for both divisions leading up to the 30 lap $5,000 to win 410 Sprint feature and the 30 lap $3,000 to win Modified feature.
Gates will open at 5 PM and a free to spectators FANFEST will take place in the pit area from 5 to 6 PM. Spectators may enter the pit side FANFEST by entering behind victory lane and the fourth turn grandstands. Many of the 410 sprint drivers will arrive early so you may participate in the Meet & Greet. Warm-ups will take place at 6:45 PM with qualifying getting underway at 7:30 PM.
Nationally known 410 sprint drivers planning to participate in the Jersey Rush 2 include Fred Rahmer, Greg Hodnett, Ryan Smith, Lance Dewease, Mark Smith, Aaron Ott, Danny Dietrich, Daryn Pittman, Brent Marks, Davey Sammons, Niki Young, Mark Bitner, Bobby Howard, Frank Cozze, Ryan Taylor, Rick Lafferty, Ryan Bohlke, Davie Franek Frank Cozze, Tim Tanner and Robbie Stillwaggon are just a few of the pre-entries for the sprint cars.
Joining Friesen on the modified roster is Billy Pauch, David VanHorn, Ryan Godown, Billy Pauch Jr., Rick Laubach, Jimmy Horton, Randy Laird, Willie Osmun, Ron John Koczon, Sammy Martz and Dominic Buffalino.

Driver & Crew Meet & Greet is being planned for fans to get an up close look at the drivers, crews and cars. The Meet & Greet will take place from 5-6 PM. The gate from Victory Lane (behind the turn four seating) to the pit area will open to allow spectators to go pit side for one hour prior to the start of the show.
