Racing action returns every Saturday evening from April through September. The next event on the Hamlin Speedway schedule is set for June 30th when all Divisions will be in action on the 1/5th mile clay cushioned oval when all seven divisions resume their weekly battles.

Pit Gates open at the speedway at 3 PM; Drivers Meeting at 5:45; Hot Laps are at 6:00 and the racing begins at 7 PM sharp. The Hamlin Speedway is preparing for their annual “VETSTOCK FIRECRACKER 100” for the All Star Slingshots to be held on Saturday evening July 7th. $1,500.00 on the line based on a 35-car entry field. The top 18 cars are locked in with a B-Main to fill to 28 and two provisionals will be added to start a field of 30-cars for the century grind. This annual benefit assists our local veterans. There will be a calendar lottery drawing, chinese auction and lap sponsorships

Swindell Caps Lucas Oil ASCS Speedweek Championship With Salina Speedway Victory
Bryan Hulbert - SALINA, Kan. (June 16, 2018) The 2018 ASCS Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek wrapped up on Saturday night with Sammy Swindell grabbing his third win of the week and the Speedweek Championship in the A.G. Rains owned No. 3.
"To be a guy that's almost 63 years old, I'm just blessed to be able to do this and that He gave me the passion, the drive, and the talent to get this done," stated Sammy, who is the third member of the Swindell family to win at the Salina Speedway; joining son, Kevin, and brother, Jeff, on the list of winners at the three-eighths-mile Kansas oval since 2012.
Rolling seventh to first in his Heat Race to be the FSR Radiator High Point Driver for the A-Feature, Swindell capped that off with drawing the pole for the A-Feature.
Taking the lead over Jeff Stasa going into the first two turns, Swindell was trailed early by Skylar Gee. Steadily pulling away, even through cautions, the race for second picked up as Gee slipped to the top of the track through turns three and four on Lap 14. Letting Wayne Johnson race into the runner-up spot, the Outlaw Wings No. 2c fought through a gaggle of slower cars to finally get clean race track between himself and Swindell.
With the No. 3 held up by slower traffic, Johnson closed a straightaway advantage to mere car lengths only to see the caution lights blink on with 26 laps complete for Johnny Herrera who suffered a collapsed top-wing.
Pulling away on the restart, the checkered flag would be delayed as the caution flew just as Swindell rounded the fourth turn on the white flag lap for Sam Hafertepe, Jr. who has rolled to a stop in turn four.
Back to the last completed lap, the green, white, checkered restart saw Swindell run away. Second attempt at the final lap, Sammy slipped off the bottom groove exiting turn-two. With room to breathe, Sammy was able to get the car back underneath him to capture the win by 0.884 seconds.
"We kind of wore the tires down, and the caution let the pressures go down, so when I went in the back bottomed out and then it pushed so I missed that one little spot where the rubber was," explained Sammy. "I knew from our start we pulled a gap. A lot of times if I ran it harder into one, it would stick a lot better, but that time with the pressures too low, it pushed."
Wayne Johnson grabbed second with Skylar Gee posting his best finish of the season in third.
John Carney II held onto fourth with Seth Bergman coming from ninth to round out the top-five. Racing back and forth with Carney and Bergman, the No. 95 of Matt Covington ended up sixth with Blake Hahn seventh from 13th. Jack Dover was eighth with Jeff Stasa in tow. The top-ten rounded out with Harli White coming up from 17th.
Up next for the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by Sawblade.com, the tour will head for the 47th Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup presented by the Skagit Casino Resort on June 21, 22, and 23. The $15,000 to win, $1,000 to start event is among the highest paying events the tour sees all year and is a crown jewel in Sprint Car racing. WINDOM REPEATS PORT ROYAL RULERSHIP AT EASTERN STORM NIGHT 3

Port Royal, Pennsylvania.....June 16, 2018 - It takes a complete effort from top-to-bottom to win an Eastern Storm title. You must run up front each and every night with no aberrations. You must be prepared to go to battle night-after-night and shield yourself from the mental, physical and mechanical exhaustion.
Chris Windom and the Baldwin Brothers Racing team did just that one year ago. In fact, they also did it one night earlier at Williams Grove Speedway. One year later - and one night later - the pairing has begun to write additional verses to their ever-growing book of feats, nearly similar to the first one he penned, repeating his 2017 Port Royal Speedway victory by winning again Saturday night in the third race of "Eastern Storm."
Points, and history, are on the Canton, Illinois driver's side as he and the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car head into the second half stretch of the six-race tour with races at BAPS, Bridgeport and Weedsport looming.
For example, every driver who's won back-to-back races in the 12-year history of "Eastern Storm" has gone on to win that year's title: Cole Whitt (2009), Levi Jones (2010), Bryan Clauson (2012 & 2016) and Robert Ballou (2015).
Over the past four years, every driver who's won at Port Royal has gone on to win the Eastern Storm title.
Eight of the 11 Eastern Storm champs have gone on to win that year's USAC National Sprint Car title.
It's an omen, or a correlation, that has Windom and the Baldwin Brothers Racing team grinning and appreciative of the roll they are on. For it was this month last year that turned the tide for the team on its way to the USAC title.
"This boosts our confidence a bunch," Windom exclaimed. "When you get rolling like this, everything seems to go a lot easier. You cherish these moments because, when you get on rolls like this, they don't always stay. When you're on top, you want to keep the momentum rolling as long as you can. We want to win this Eastern storm title again and, obviously, we want to win the USAC championship again. We're racing for the big picture, but we're also racing to win races. Right now, we're doing that, and things are really clicking."
Each of the two winners from the first two nights of "Eastern Storm" were staged side-by-side on the front row for the start of the 30-lap feature. Windom began the race from the pole position, yet it was Brady Bacon who used the ledge to power around Windom to nab the early lead.
The first stoppage arrived early as Pennsylvanian Trevor Kobylarz rode out a wild series of flips along the outside, front straightaway wall exiting turn four. He would walk away unscathed, but the same couldn't be said of his racecar.
With Saturday night's victory at Port Royal, Windom equaled two of his fellow USAC stars - Kevin Thomas, Jr. and Brady Bacon - within the top-25 of the all-time USAC National Sprint Car list with his 21st career victory.
On the ensuing restart, Windom took a shot at Bacon, nudging ahead for a moment until Bacon's momentum up top catapulted him back by and allowed him to gain a little leg room between he and Windom down the back straightaway.
Bacon opened as much as a three-quarter of a second advantage on the field, then on the 11th lap, bumbled over the turn two cushion ever so slightly, allowing Windom to chop the gap substantially and close on the tail of the No. 99. On both laps 12 and 13, Windom was able to slide past Bacon for the lead, but each time, Bacon answered with a killer crossover off turn two to burst back into the lead.
On lap 14, Bacon took a defensive line, sliding himself through the middle on his entry into turn one, denying Windom a third consecutive shot at the top spot.
"You can throw a slide job from pretty far back here into turn one," Windom explained. "I remembered that from last year. So, if anything, I'd say I used what I learned last year to help me tonight. I wanted to see how far I could clear Brady there and if it was going to stick. He crossed me over a few times, so I knew if I threw another one, I needed to clear him by a bunch or he was just going to keep crossing me over."
Windom wouldn't have to stress about the situation at hand for too long, however, as Bacon began to slow between turns one and two with a broken left rear shock and torsion arm. He would restart from the tail of the field, but would only manage to reach 12th at race's end, a serious blow to the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma driver's bid for a second "Eastern Storm" title.
An oft-used tactic at Port Royal is the second-place driver utilizing a massive slider on the leader in turn one. Windom was fully aware of this as he used one of his own on Ballou in the final laps of last year's race to snare the win. With Thomas behind him, Windom needed to be fully on his game. In turn three, Thomas took his chance, sliding wheel-to-wheel with Windom through the corner, yet Windom prevailed with the lead off turn four on the high side.
"I think once the top really came in, I felt like I got better even at the end of the race," Windom recalls. "I saw the 69 car sliding across the middle there, trying to clear slide jobs on me and I knew that wasn't going to work. If he cleared me, he cleared me, but if he didn't, I knew it wasn't going to last for long, so I just tried to keep ripping the same line up top. These big tracks are huge momentum places. Even if you're not the fastest car, if you can keep your momentum rolling up top, you're going to be in good shape."
With five to go, Windom had laid down a one-plus second lead as he rocketed away to certain victory. One big fear of a late-race caution at Port Royal is setting up the second-place driver for a one last ditch effort slider into turn one. However, Windom's fear at this moment in time was catching lapped traffic too early, which he did down to the final gun, getting hung up enough to have Thomas pose a threat on the final lap after Windom had to split between the cars of Carmen Perigo and Kyle Moody to find some clearance.
Thomas was unable to reel Windom in as Windom released the stranglehold of the gridlocked traffic on the last lap, breaking through for his third series victory of the year over Thomas, Tyler Courtney, Robert Ballou and Dave Darland.
"I was hoping I wasn't going to catch those lapped cars before the checkered," Windom admitted. "I knew I was going to when we came to the white (flag). They didn't necessarily do me any favors, but they were racing their own race too. I'll be honest, I got nervous. I thought (Thomas) was going to try and throw a big one on me in the last corner. He didn't and I'm lucky for that."
With the victory, Windom equaled two of his fellow USAC stars - Thomas and Bacon - within the top-25 of the all-time USAC National Sprint Car list with his 21st career victory.

KRAUSE TAKES EMOTIONAL FATHER'S DAY WALL VICTORY
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ Andrew Krause of Holmdel nailed down an emotional stock car victory at Wall Stadium Speedway on Saturday night of Father's Day weekend in the All American Auto Group Racing Series. After his Pete and Elda's Bar/Carmen's Pizzeria Modified 40-lap win, Krause dedicated the victory to the memory of his father, Cliff Krause. The senior Krause, who passed away in January, promoted the speedway for several years. His family still promotes the track today.
Jackson's Steven Reed took the lead at the drop of the green flag but Krause and a host of others were charging to the front. Krause was the first to get to Reed and made an outside lane pass on lap seven. Soon Eric Mauriello and Jimmy Blewett, both of Howell, joined Krause and Reed in the top four.
As the race neared the halfway mark Reed and Blewett battled fiercely for the runner-up spot before the caution waved when Blewett stopped with a flat tire. Once action resumed Krause raced home for the emotional victory and stopped Blewett's win streak at five victories. Reed, Mauriello, Blewett and Ricky Collins of Willow Grove, Pa. completed the top five.
“This is a very emotional weekend for my family so this win really means a lot,” Krause said after the victory. “My father has done so much for me and my family. He has done so much for this great place.”
Eric Lane of Howell raced to his second victory of the year in the companion 25-lapper for the Center State Engineering Sportsman cars. Lane took the lead near the halfway mark after early leaders Kevin Davison of Howell and Jarret DiGiantomasso of Jackson tangled in turn four. Lane then survived his own restart trouble before taking the win. Farmingdlae's John McCormick, Davison, Brick's Robert Sutphin and Eddie McCarthey of Pt. Pleasant wrapped up the top five.
Point race leader Mike Montano of Freeport, N.Y. took the win in the 25-lapper for the O'Shea's Auto Repair Factory Stocks. Defending champ Scott Riggleman of Manchester was second, with Elliot Wohl of Bayville and Bob Haberstick and Bryan O'Shea, both of Wall, completing the top five.
Sal Liguori of Hazlet won his second straight Surfside Collision 4 Cylinder Stock main event over defending series champ Brian OsBorn of Howell. Wall's TJ Graves, Neil Rutt and Mike Lavery were third through fifth.
Mike Alcaro of West Milford was tops in the Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars 25-lapper with Nick Van Wickle of Edgewater Park and Kyle Dealaman completing the top three. Shannon Mongeau of Manchester won the 25-lap Mike's Performance Center Limited Late Model feature over Brick's Joe Mongeau and Harry Schaeffer of Carteret.
The All American Auto Group Racing Series continues this Saturday evening (June 23) with the Modifieds in a 40-lapper, the Center State Engineering Sportsman cars in twin 25-lappers, the Factory Stocks in triple 25-lappers and the 4 Cylinder Stocks in a 25-lapper during Ladies' Night activities. Grandstands open at 5:00 p.m., with qualifying set for 5:45 p.m. and feature race action set for 7:00 p.m.

VON DOHREN SCORES SEASON FIRST WIN AT GRANDVIEW, PFEIL AND LILICK ARE REPEAT WINNERS ON T.P.TRAILERS AND TRUCK EQUIPMENT NIGHT
BECHTELSVILLE, PA JUNE 17, 2018 – Craig Von Dohren recorded his first 30-lap T.P Trailers NASCAR 30-lap Modified feature win of the season at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. Wayne Pfeil and Kyle Lilick were season repeat winners in the Late Model and Sportsman features in the activities sponsored by T.P. Trailers and Truck Equipment.
All feature winners received monetary awards from T.P. Trailers and merchandise awards from VP Fuels providing they met the necessary requirements.
Von Dohren’s 103rd career win didn’t come easily for the defending and ten-time point champion. The Oley lead foot had to hold off the continuous challenges of Jared Umbenhauer, who returned with a back-up car after his primary one was destroyed by last week’s fire. Von Dohren had to weave in and out of lap traffic once he merged ahead on the 20th lap.
Von Dohren credited crew chief Jason Bashore and all the pit crew members plus sponsors for their continuous support and was thankful that the breaks were in his favor for a change.
Bobby Gunther-Walsh set the pace for five laps before the yellow was out for debris along the homestretch. When action resumed Danny Erb, who returned after missing a few weeks, charged to the front of the pack leaving Gunther-Walsh, Mark Kratz, Umbenhauer and Doug Manmiller dice for positions.
Manmiller overtook second on the seventh lap to pressure Erb, who stuck to the high groove while Manmiller tried to duck underneath him.
While Erb and Manmiller battled for the lead this allowed Umbenhauer to reel the pair in to make it a three-way battle for first.
The lead changed for the third time on the 18th lap when Umbenhauer, who overtook the runner up spot on lap 16, proceeded to charge into the lead, but Erb stayed with him trying to regain control.
The running order behind Umbenhauer by this time now consisted of Erb, Von Dohren, Manmiller and Duane Howard.
Umbenhauer went high coming off of turn four on the 20th lap and Von Dohren took advance of the situation and went through the middle to put the Nick Gatto powered No. 1C at the head of the class.
Lapped traffic came into the picture as the front runners had to use heads up driving to maneuver past them. This allowed last week’s feature winner Jeff Strunk to close the distance and made it a three-way race for the top spot.
Von Dohren hit all the right marks to proceed into victory lane for the win. Following closely across the line were Umbenhauer, Strunk, Manmiller and Howard.
Walsh, Umbenhauer and Kyle Weiss were the heat winners. Brett Kressley had trouble in the first heat, but was able to pull off the consi win.
In the 25-lap ASCAR Late Model feature Wayne Pfeil, out of action last week due to engine problems, started on the pole and led every lap of the event.
The red was thrown on the sixth lap after Chuck Schutz, last week’s winner, clipped the inside fourth turn guard rail and shot up into the fourth turn wall with hard impact. He was uninjured, but the car sustained heavy damage. Pfeil maintained his lead on the restart and within no time had a healthy lead built up.
Positions behind Pfeil were constantly changing, but he never faltered to go on to claim his lucky 13th career win. Finishing second was Danny Snyder followed by Kyle Merkel, Drew Weisser and Steve Todorow, already a feature winners this year.
Mike Mammana, returning to Sportsman action after sitting out much of last year due to an early injury, was the early pacesetter in the Sportsman main event with Andrew Kreis, Mark Kemmerer, Lilick and Kurt Bettler in pursuit.
Lilick moved into second on the 10th circuit in an effort to overtake the lead.
B.J. Joly stopped between the third and fourth turn for the 11th lap caution. Before action resumed, Jim Housworth, running a strong fifth dropped out of contention. Mammana continued to show the pace with Lilick making valiant efforts to pass him. Lilick made several attempts to get underneath Mammana, but was unsuccessful.
Lilick’s bid for first stuck on the 17th lap as when he was able to move. At the same time Louden Reimert followed through for second.
Lilick kept everyone behind him to go on to capture another win for his third career victory. Second went to Reimert followed by Kemmerer, Whitmoyer and Funk III.
Heats were won by Mammana, Kemmerer and Gary Wagner.
Next Saturday these same Sportsman drivers plus a host of others will compete in the Summer Splash 40-lap event along with the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models with action set to get underway at 7:30 p.m. The night will also include the Safety Net Sanctuary of Fleetwood Raffle Fundraiser. Fans are invited to support this animal charity by bringing dog and cat food to be deposited in special containers and purchase raffle tickets with many great prizes to be awarded.
Then on Sunday at 1 p.m. the Outlaw Enduros and Blast From the Past Vintage racers will be in action.

PAUCH IS THE HEAD OF THE CLASS AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY'S GRADUATION NIGHT
New Egypt, NJ (June 17, 2018) - At New Egypt Speedway's Graduation Night,
Billy Pauch, Jr. headed the field to win the Modified feature. The Hammer
Sportsman feature was won by David Burns. Eric Palmer picked up the victory
in the Crate Modified class. Karl Freyer topped his rivals in the Larry's
Hot Rods & Harley's Northeast Wingless Sprint Car main event. In the Lyons
Construction/Metal Fab Rookie division, Ryan Heim scored the win and took
home the 2018 Championship.
Steve Davis grabbed the lead as the 30-lap Modified feature began. Following
two caution periods and five tours completed, Davis was still in control
with Ryan Godown and Billy Pauch, Jr. next in line and battling for second
place. By lap seven, Pauch, Jr. slipped by Godown to take over second.
Following another break in the action for debris on the track on the eighth
circuit, Pauch, Jr. blasted by Davis and into first place. Twelfth place
starting David VanHorn was continuing his advancement towards the front as
he motored by Godown and into third with ten revolutions completed. After an
additional appearance of the yellow flag on lap eleven, VanHorn slipped by
Davis and began to pursue Pauch, Jr. As the contest reached the halfway
point, the top two remained intact with Brandon Grosso in third, Danny Bouc
in fourth and Godown dropping down to fifth. On lap sixteen, a tight battle
for the lead led to slight contact between the top two of Pauch, Jr. and
VanHorn. With ten laps remaining, Pauch, Jr. had pulled slightly away from
his rivals with VanHorn holding off Grosso for second, Bouc in fourth and
John McClelland climbing into fifth after an earlier visit to the pits.
Throughout the final third of the race, Pauch, Jr. hit his marks and crossed
the finish line to gain his third victory of the year. VanHorn held off the
strong advancements of Grosso to finish in second. With Grosso in third,
Bouc was fourth and McClelland was fifth. By placing ahead of Bouc,
McClelland and Dominick Buffalino in the May Modified Madness Series finale,
Grosso won the 2018 May Modified Madness title. Ryan Godown and David
VanHorn won the Modified heat races.
David Burns, the 2017 Lyons Construction/Metal Fab Rookie champion,
inherited the lead on the eleventh circuit and paced the field for the
remaining distance to win the 20-lap Hammer Sportsman feature. Joseph Brown
led the opening ten tours of the race. A restart following a caution on the
tenth lap saw the top two of Brown and Shaun Ratchford collide and set off a
chain reaction accident in front of the field. The incident elevated Burns
into first place. Defending champion Billy Osmun completed the race in
second. After missing his heat race due to mechanical issues, fourteenth
place starting Art Liedl finished the contest in third. Marty Resnick was
fourth and Bob Lineman, Jr came home in fifth. Hammer Sportsman qualifying
events went to Billy Osmun and David Burns.
With the time limit reached in the scheduled 20-lap Crate Modified feature,
Eric Palmer was declared the victor when the checkered flag waved after
sixteen circuits were completed. The triumph was Palmer's eighth career win.
The runner-up spot was taken by Steve Hicks. Third place went to John
Aumick. Kyle Kania wound up in fourth with fifth going to Ryan Simmons. Rob
Mancini and Eric Palmer were victorious in the heat races for the Crate
Modifieds.
Karl Freyer led every step of the way to win the 20-lap main event for the
Larry's Hot Rods & Harley's Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars. Freyer survived
two late race restarts to collect his first win at New Egypt Speedway. Rich
Mellor came home in second place. Third place was claimed by Bobby Tersillo.
Brian Spencer was fourth and Lee Nardelli finished in fifth. The qualifying
events in the Larry's Hot Rods & Harley's Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars
division were taken by Bobby Tersillo and Eric Jennings.
In the final Lyons Construction/Metal Fab Rookie feature of the season, Ryan
Heim won the 12-lap race and the season championship. Heim finished first in
seven of the eight Rookie events in 2018. Bobby Holzwarth was next in line.
Kevin Borden, Jr., Matt Miller and Paige Brown rounded out the top five.
Several big events are set to roll into New Egypt Speedway. First up, the
Monster Truck Racing League Presents the School's Out Monster Truck Summer
Smash on Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24. The legendary Bigfoot, Snake
Bite, Equalizer, Hot Tamale and several more Monster Trucks along with a
Freestyle Motocross are set to entertain fans of all ages. Monster Truck
rides will be available for $10. On Saturday, June 23, gates open at 5:30
p.m. with a pit party getting underway at 5:30 p.m. The show starts at 7:30
p.m. On Sunday, June 24, the grandstand turnstiles unlock at 1:00 p.m. and
the pit party kicks off at 1:30 p.m. The show begins at 3:00 p.m. Adult
tickets can be purchased online for $20 or at the gate for $25. Tickets for
Kids between the ages of 4 and 12 are $10. All children 3 and under are
admitted for free. A family 4-pack (2 Adults & 2 Kids) is available only

The Garden State Gunfight 2 will be held on Wednesday, June 27th at New
Egypt Speedway. The top Modified drivers from all across the region will
take part in a 60-lap feature with $6,000 going to the winner and $400 to
start the main event. A 30-lap event for the Crate Modifieds vs. Open
Sportsman will be on the card as well. Pit gates unlock at 4:00 p.m. with
the grandstand ticket windows opening at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps start at 6:00
p.m. and the first green flag waves at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the grandstand
is $25 for adults, $23 for seniors 65 and older, $15 for teens 12-15, $15
for military personal and their spouses with ID, and Kids 11 & under are
FREE. Pit admission is $35 with any track license and $40 with no license.
