August at Bridgeport Speedway starts out with a very special program. A pair of 15-lap features for the 270cc Micro-Sprints highlights this edition of Fast and Furious Fridays. Plus, the 250cc Micro-Sprints invade the quarter mile with $500 going to the winner of the 20-lap main event courtesy of Sorey’s Landscaping and AC Racing. The 600cc Micro-Sprints and 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars round out the docket. PLUS, open practice on the inner dirt oval for any type of racecar. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the first qualifying event starts at 7:30 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 for Adults. All kids 12 and under are FREE. Admission to the pit area is $25 with a license and $30 without a license.

This Saturday, the winner of the Big Block Modified feature gets a little extra reward. Along with the first place check, the victor of this week’s 30-lap contest gets a guaranteed starting spot in the Short Track SuperNationals at Five Mile Point Speedway on October, 6. The three-division card includes the Crate Sportsmen and Outlaw Stock Cars. The pit gates open at 4:00 p.m. and the grandstand turnstiles unlock at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps crank up at 6:30 p.m. with racing starting at 7:00 p.m. Grandstand admission is $15 for Adults and $12 for Students (13-17). All kids 12 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $30 for Bridgeport members and $35 for non-members.
