THOMAS THRILLS AT LAKE OZARK FOR 14TH-CAREER POWRi WIN
ELDON, MO. (September 1, 2019) - In an exciting race that saw a handful of different leaders, Tyler Thomas of Collinsville, Okla. outlasted them all to complete a ninth-to-first charge for his 14th-career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League victory on Sunday night at Lake Ozark Speedway.
A field of 25 POWRi National / West Midgets filled the pit area for the second night of racing, a program that saw Thomas Meseraull (Auto Meter Heat 1), Cannon McIntosh (KSE Racing Products Heat 2) and Tanner Carrick (Advanced Racing Suspensions Heat 3) split heat race wins.
Winning his heat from seventh, McIntosh of Bixby, Okla. secured PAC Racing Springs #HighPointMan honors and put his Dave Mac Motorsports, Drive WFX, Spike/Toyota No. 08 on the pole position. Looking to redeem himself after a mechanical issue stripped him from the lead with five laps left on Saturday night, the 16-year old star was determined to find redemption and quickly took command in Sunday's show.
While the race heated up and the lead changed hands, Tucker Klaasmeyer of Paola, Kans. moved his Keith Kunz-Curb Agajanian Motorsports No. 27 to the point on the sixth circuit. His lead lasted until just shy of the halfway point when Zach Daum of Pocahontas, Ill. guided his No. 5D entry by Klaasmeyer and took command himself.
Meanwhile, Tyler Thomas was roaring through the pack aboard his BT Machine, Spike/Toyota No. 91T and thanks to a well-timed caution was set to restart right behind Daum and Klaasmeyer. Driving into the top spot and storming by them all, Thomas shot past Klaasmeyer and then made work of Daum to take the lead on lap 22.
From there, Thomas kept the top spot under control and held on for his 14th-career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League victory. A Sunday night score at Lake Ozark Speedway, the win was the Collinsville, Okla. native's second triumph of the season, and the first of his career at the Eldon, Mo. race track.
Chasing Thomas to the stripe on Sunday was Tucker Klaasmeyer with a second-place effort, Zach Daum in the third-place position, Michael Pickens of Auckland, New Zealand in fourth aboard the RMS Racing No. 1NZ, and Thomas Meseraull of San Jose, Calif. in the RMS Racing No. 7X.
Also finishing inside the top ten at Lake Ozark was teenage Holley Hollan of Broken Arrow, Okla. (sixth), current POWRi Midget points leader Jesse Colwell of Red Bluff, Calif. (seventh), 14-year old Daison Pursley of Locust Grove, Okla. (eighth), early leader Cannon McIntosh in the ninth slot, and POWRi West points leader Andrew Felker in tenth.
The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League resumes their 2019 season next weekend with a Friday, September 6 show at Jacksonville Speedway followed by a Saturday, September 7 program at Spoon River Speedway.

T-MEZ TOWERS ON NIGHT ONE AT LAKE OZARK
ELDON, MO. (August 31, 2019) - Capitalizing on Cannon McIntosh's late-race misfortune, Thomas Meseraull of San Jose, Calif. assumed the race lead with five laps remaining on Saturday night at Lake Ozark Speedway and held on for his fourth-career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League victory.
With 24 cars in attendance for the POWRi National / West Midget show, a trio of heat races were presented to the enticed Labor Day weekend crowd. Meseraull topped the opening Auto Meter heat race and rocketed to second in points, while Zach Daum of Pocahontas, Ill. won KSE Racing Products heat two from fifth to earn PAC Racing Springs High Point Man honors, who was followed by Chance Morton claiming the third Advanced Racing Suspensions heat.
As Daum and Meseraull brought the 24-car field to life in the main event, it was T-Mez powering his Matt Estep owned, Envirofab, Spike/Toyota No. 7X to the point. Commanding the opening six laps, Meseraull was quickly chased by fourth-starter Cannon McIntosh, who maneuvered by Daum and set his sights on the race lead.
Taking the top spot on lap seven, McIntosh wheeled his Dave Mac Motorsports, Drive WFX, Spike/Toyota No. 08 to the front and looked to cash in for his first-career POWRi National Midget triumph.
Driving away and holding a tight grasp on P1, it looked as if McIntosh was finally due to break his spell of bad luck and strike gold with that elusive victory. However, heartbreak soon ensued, as mechanical issues on lap 25 saw the Bixby, Okla. 16-year old retire from the lead in devastating fashion.
Assuming the lead in the midst of McIntosh's woes, Meseraull was back at the point and had only five laps separating himself from the checkered flag. The San Jose, Calif. native survived the final restart with ease and ran away to score his fourth-career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League win.
Rounding out the top five behind Meseraull was Zach Daum in second, Jesse Colwell in third, Tucker Klaasmeyer in fourth and Michael Pickens in fifth. Closing out the top ten was Holley Hollan in sixth, Tyler Thomas in seventh, Trey Marcham in eighth, Jesse Love in ninth, Hank Davis in tenth.
The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League will be right back at it tomorrow night Sunday, September 1 with another appearance at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. alongside POWRi West.

NEARLY 200 WINS REPRESENTED IN BC39 LINEUP THUS FAR

Speedway, Indiana (August 26, 2019).........There's no questioning the difficulty of winning a feature event on the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship trail.
One must be at the top of your game, up in the seat, and prepared for anything thrown in your direction, situationally or slider-wise.
There's no slouching on this year's 87-car, and growing, entry list for the Sept. 4-5 Driven2SaveLives BC39 powered by NOS Energy Drink at The Dirt Track at IMS. Nearly one-third of the field possesses a feature victory in the series, totaling 194 wins amongst 27 drivers.
Thirty of those 194 wins are held by 26th place BC39 finisher Dave Darland, which ranks the Lincoln, Ind. driver 11th all-time with the likes of Mick McGreevy and 12-time Indianapolis 500 starter Johnny Parsons.
Fifth place BC39 finisher in 2018, Christopher Bell owns 23 wins in the series and has been a constant of sustained success for much of the decade despite limited appearances over the past half-decade, winning nine of 26 starts since becoming a part-time USAC Midget competitor in 2015 following a championship run in 2013.
Jerry Coons, Jr. has routinely knocked out top-tens and top-fives with the series for more than two decades. The two-time series champion from Tucson, Ariz. finished 9th in the BC39 last year and possesses 19 series victories, most among all full-time series competitors.
Like Bell, Kyle Larson has been a semi-regular competitor on the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget tour for much of the decade, but their talent supersedes the limited amount of seat time in a midget they have each year. The Elk Grove, Calif. native has been in position to win in three of his six series starts this season, winning once at The Dirt Oval at Route 66 in June for the 16th of his career, and was challenging for the victory on the final lap at both Putnamville, Ind. and Kutztown, Pa.
Tanner Thorson made a miraculous comeback from injuries suffered in a road accident in March of this year. With the scars remaining visible and the determination burning inside of him, the 2016 series champ from Minden, Nevada, charged from 15th to 1st in Putnamville's round of Indiana Midget Week in June, the furthest back any driver has started and won from this year, his 13th in the series.
Russ Gamester's long and distinguished and career has seen wins in all three of USAC's National divisions, including 12 in the Midget series where he collected the 1984 series Rookie of the Year and the 1989 driver championship. Gamester (Peru, Ind.), along with Coons, completed IndyCar tests with Panther Racing in 2000 at Texas Motor Speedway, but never quite got their shot on the 2.5-mile oval.
Tyler Courtney has more than doubled his USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget win tally in just half a season in 2019, jumping from five to 11 victories in search of a first series title, leading the points as it stands now, just one year removed from claiming the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car championship.
Phoenix, Arizona's Chad Boat, son of 1998 Indianapolis 500 pole sitter and 1998 Texas Indy Racing League winner Billy Boat, could be the next to reach the double-digit win club with the series after finishing second in the inaugural BC39, which would break a tie he holds with his father where they both stand at nine wins.
Defending BC39 winner Brady Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.) earned his seventh and most recent series victory at IMS last summer. Reigning series champ Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.), 13th in 2018, has six while 2017 champ Spencer Bayston (Lebanon, Ind.) has five alongside two-time NASCAR Monster Energy Cup winner Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. (Olive Branch, Miss.), 11th in 2018, and Kevin Thomas, Jr. (Cullman, Ala.), who led the first 30 laps of last year's BC39 before finishing 3rd.
The group of four-time winners is an eclectic bunch with 7th place BC39 finisher Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.), 1990 Chili Bowl Midget Nationals victor John Heydenreich (Bloomsburg, Pa.) and Auckland, New Zealand's racing hero, Michael Pickens, the winningest driver from outside of the USA in USAC National Midget history.
Two-time Indiana Midget Week champion Shane Cottle (Kansas, Ill.), 15th in 2018, is a part of the three-win club with 2013 Hut 100 winner Zach Daum (Pocahontas, Ill.), 2006 Turkey Night Grand Prix winner Billy Wease and last year's Stoops Pursuit winner at the BC39, Zeb Wise (Angola, Ind.), 14th in 2018.
Pittsboro's Critter Malone, whose father Shim was a long-time chief starter for USAC, has two National Midget victories to his credit, as does Chris Windom (Canton, Ill.), 12th in 2018, who earned his first pair of wins this year after making more than 100-plus starts over the past decade before finally breaking through.
Those with just a single piece of USAC National Midget hardware in their trophy case are versatile Sprint Car, Midget and Silver Crown standout Steve Buckwalter (Royersford, Pa.), 2018 Jason Leffler Memorial winner Tyler Thomas (Collinsville, Okla.), 22nd in 2018, and three drivers who've each tallied victory number one this calendar year, Tanner Carrick (Lincoln, Calif.), Jason McDougal (Broken Arrow, Okla.), 16th in 2018, and Cannon McIntosh (Bixby, Okla.).
With all that said, it takes just one win to put your name into the record book. And if that one just so happens to be the upcoming Driven2SaveLives BC39 powered by NOS Energy Drink, that's one that will not soon be forgotten by the driver, the team, the fans and, yes, the record book.
Teams can file their entry for the event at www.TheBC39.com, where they may also purchase pit and parking passes for the two-night USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship event.
There are three options for viewing the racing action and also having pit pass access. You can purchase a competitor pit pass only where no seat is included with limited viewing of the track. Secondly, you can purchase a competitor pit pass with reserved seating included, which are available in the lower level of the main grandstands. Both options are available on www.thebc39.com/.
Competitor/crew seating has been added as a special general admission-only section in the main grandstand for the upcoming Driven2SaveLives BC39 powered by NOS Energy Drink at The Dirt Track at IMS on September 4-5. Pits are located outside turns three and four this year, giving competitors and crews direct access to the grandstands.
Parking will also be available on both ends of the track for those with infield parking passes. Each entry filed will come with two VIP parking passes for inside parking at IMS. All others must either purchase inside parking or park outside of turns three and four of the 2.5-mile paved oval track.

The BC39 officially gets underway on Tuesday, Sept. 3 with team parking at noon. From 4-6pm, catch five USAC icons at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum's USAC Stars: From the Dirt Track to the Brickyard series. The event will feature legends Don and Mel Kenyon, and current drivers Michael Pickens, Chris Windom and Chad Boat. Pat Sullivan, longtime USAC public address announcer, historian, and author, will emcee this evening of entertaining banter and thrilling stories.

Following the event, make your way to USAC headquarters, just across the street from the IMS Administration office at 4910 W. 16th Street, for the BC39 Draft Party from 5:30pm to 8:30pm Eastern where drivers will draw for their heat race positions. All cars entered will be randomized into a draft order for the heat race draft. Teams will be able to pick their heat race spot, either in person with a representative, or remotely through USAC officials. Any unrepresented team will be given the first available spot. The heat race position draft is open to the public with team members getting priority into the new USAC worldwide headquarters. Food and beverages will be available.
On track action begins Wednesday, Sept. 4, beginning with the drivers meeting in the IMS Media Room at 2pm. Public gates open at 3pm with cars hitting the track for practice at 5pm, followed by opening ceremonies at 6:30pm. Heat races and the Stoops Pursuit race will conclude the night's racing action.
The finale, on Thursday, Sept. 5, will have the public gates opening at 3pm and cars on track for practice at 4:30pm, with qualifying races to follow at 5:30pm. Opening ceremonies are slated for 7pm and immediately followed by the main feature events, starting with multiple D-Mains, C-Main, the semi-feature and the 39-lap main event.

BC39 ENTRY LIST RISES TO 83 FOR THE SEPT. 4-5 SPECTACULAR AT IMS
Speedway, Indiana (August 22, 2019).........The entry list for the Driven2SaveLives BC39 powered by NOS Energy Drink continues to grow by leaps and bounds and now stands at 83 cars for the September 4-5 event at The Dirt Track at IMS. Just one week remains until the entry cutoff on Thursday night, August 29 at www.thebc39.com/.
Among the newest entries for the event are a four-car team for Tucker/Boat Motorsports, led by last year's BC39 runner-up finisher Chad Boat (Phoenix, Ariz.), son of 1998 Indianapolis 500 pole winner Billy Boat. He's joined by Gio Scelzi (Fresno, Calif.), whose resume includes becoming the youngest ever winner with the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series as well as at both Knoxville Raceway and Williams Grove Speedway.
Talented racer/motorsports announcer Dillon Welch (Carmel, Ind.) is entered for Tucker/Boat, with whom he set a new one lap USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget track record at Kokomo Speedway this past April and finished 25th in last year's Driven2SaveLives BC39 powered by NOS Energy Drink. Series Rookie Karsyn Elledge (Mooresville, N.C.) is set to make her second BC39 appearance this year. She is the granddaughter of 1995 Brickyard 400 winner Dale Earnhardt.
Elledge is one of five female drivers entered thus far for the BC39 along with Hollan, west coast drivers Shannon McQueen (Bakersfield, Calif.) and Randi Pankratz (Atascadero, Calif.) and newly-entered Maria Cofer (Macdoel, Calif.), a recent USAC Western States Midget feature winner at California's Petaluma Speedway and 17th place finisher in last year's inaugural BC39 main event. She's on a three-car Team Ripper effort also featuring USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car point leader C.J. Leary (Greenfield, Ind.) and Jonathan Beason (Broken Arrow, Okla.), a 5th place finisher in his lone USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget start this season in July at Oklahoma's Red Dirt Raceway.
Zach Daum (Pocahontas, Ill.), a 2011 Hut 100 winner, has entered along with 2006 Turkey Night Grand Prix victor Billy Wease (Noblesville, Ind.).
The newest group of entries joins an impressively-talented field from top to bottom, headlined by the likes of three past USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget champs in Christopher Bell (Norman, Okla.), Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) and Tanner Thorson (Minden, Nev.) leading an eight-car assault from the Keith Kunz Motorsports/Curb-Agajanian stable, which also features May's NASCAR Monster Energy All-Star Race winner Kyle Larson (Elk Grove, Calif.), plus July Sweet Springs, Mo. winner Tanner Carrick (Lincoln, CA), series Rookie Jesse Colwell (Red Bluff, Calif.), Holley Hollan (Broken Arrow, Okla.) and Tucker Klaasmeyer (Paola, Kans.).
Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. (Olive Branch, Miss.), a veteran of 243 starts on the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series tour, has an extensive background in USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget racing, earning five wins and Rookie of the Year honors in 2007. In 2015, he won again indoors at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin.
Stenhouse started 11th and finished 11th in last year's BC39 for Clauson/Marshall Racing, with who he'll be competing for again, joined alongside CMR's full-time combatants, series point leader and six-time winner Tyler Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.), two-time winners Chris Windom (Canton, Ill.) and Zeb Wise (Angola, Ind.) along with leading series Rookie Andrew Layser (Collegeville, Pa.).
Stenhouse, a two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series champion in 2011-12, has two career wins at the Cup level, both of which came in 2017 at Talladega and Daytona. He's also made starts in each of the last six editions of the Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard powered by Florida Georgia Line, finishing a best of 12th in 2016.
Defending BC39 winner Brady Bacon, along with July Fairbury, Neb. winner Jason McDougal, are a part of the Broken Arrow, Okla. connection teamed with FMR Racing for the race. Bacon, a two-time USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car champion, led the final nine laps to capture the inaugural event a year ago.
Chase Briscoe, who'll pilot his own No. 5B in the event, has extensive experience in midget and sprint car racing, including an appearance at the BC39 in the inaugural event a year ago. Of late, however, the Mitchell, Ind. native has made a big name for himself in NASCAR's Truck and Stock Car divisions. The 2016 ARCA champion was a recent NASCAR Xfinity Series winner at Iowa Speedway in July and was also victorious with the series in the debut on the "Roval" at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2018.
Briscoe made his debut on 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the series' stop in 2018, charging from his 22nd starting position to finish 9th in the Lilly Diabetes 250. Briscoe also owns a pair of victories in NASCAR's Gander Outdoors Truck Series, winning the finale at Homestead in 2017, then winning the Eldora Dirt Derby in 2018.
Two-time series champs Jerry Coons, Jr. (Tucson, Ariz.) and Dave Darland (Lincoln, Ind.) are part of an all-star Petry Motorsports cast that also features Kevin Thomas, Jr. (Cullman, Ala.) who led a race-high 30 laps and finished 3rd in last year's BC39 main event.
Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.) took 7th in the 2018 BC39 and has already won once this season at Gas City I-69 Speedway during Indiana Midget Week, one of 12 different winners in the first 21 events of this season.
Michael Pickens, the winningest driver from New Zealand in the history of USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget racing with four series wins, will roll with the RMS LLC team at the BC39 alongside teammate Thomas Meseraull (San Jose, Calif.), a nine-time winner on the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car trail and a winner of last December's Junior Knepper 55 Midget race at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin.
USAC National Midget champion Russ Gamester (Peru, Ind.), a winner in all three of USAC's National divisions throughout his career with 12 National Midget wins, 6 Silver Crown victories and a single National Sprint Car triumph.
Making his BC39 debut is Cannon McIntosh, who burst onto the USAC scene in a big way this past March where he scored his first career USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget victory indoors at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin. In just six starts this season, the Bixby, Okla. driver has finished in the top-five on three occasions, including a runner-up finish at Gas City during Indiana Midget Week.
Also joining the list of BC39 entries is 2005 & 2006 Indiana Midget Week champion Shane Cottle (Kansas, Ill.) for car owner Bill Ecker. Cottle is a multi-time winner in all three of USAC's National divisions in his career and owns three career USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget feature wins. This past July, he emerged victorious on the final lap in one of the closest races in USAC history in a photo finish at Gas City I-69 Speedway during Indiana Sprint Week.
Spencer Bayston, the 2017 USAC National Midget champion from Lebanon, Ind. is entered, along with 2018 Jason Leffler Memorial winner Tyler Thomas (Collinsville, Okla.), USAC National Sprint Car feature winners Brent Beauchamp (Avon, Ind.) and Matt Westfall (Pleasant Hill, Ohio), plus past USAC Western States Midget champion Shannon McQueen (Bakersfield, Calif.) among many others.

There are three options for viewing the racing action and also having pit pass access. You can purchase a competitor pit pass only where no seat is included with limited viewing of the track. Secondly, you can purchase a competitor pit pass with reserved seating included, which are available in the lower level of the main grandstands. Both options are available on www.thebc39.com/.
Competitor/crew seating has been added as a special general admission-only section in the main grandstand for the upcoming Driven2SaveLives BC39 powered by NOS Energy Drink at The Dirt Track at IMS on September 4-5. Pits are located outside turns three and four this year, giving competitors and crews direct access to the grandstands.
Parking will also be available on both ends of the track for those with infield parking passes. Each entry filed will come with two VIP parking passes for inside parking at IMS. All others must either purchase inside parking or park outside of turns three and four of the 2.5-mile paved oval track.

The BC39 officially gets underway on Tuesday, Sept. 3 with team parking at noon. From 4-6pm, catch five USAC icons at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum's USAC Stars: From the Dirt Track to the Brickyard series. The event will feature legends Don and Mel Kenyon, and current drivers Michael Pickens, Chris Windom and Chad Boat. Pat Sullivan, longtime USAC public address announcer, historian, and author, will emcee this evening of entertaining banter and thrilling stories.

Following the event, make your way to USAC headquarters, just across the street from the IMS Administration office at 4910 W. 16th Street, for the BC39 Draft Party from 5:30pm to 8:30pm Eastern where drivers will draw for their heat race positions. All cars entered will be randomized into a draft order for the heat race draft. Teams will be able to pick their heat race spot, either in person with a representative, or remotely through USAC officials. Any unrepresented team will be given the first available spot. The heat race position draft is open to the public with team members getting priority into the new USAC worldwide headquarters. Food and beverages will be available.
On track action begins Wednesday, Sept. 4, beginning with the drivers meeting in the IMS Media Room at 2pm. Public gates open at 3pm with cars hitting the track for practice at 5pm, followed by opening ceremonies at 6:30pm. Heat races and the Stoops Pursuit race will conclude the night's racing action.
The finale, on Thursday, Sept. 5, will have the public gates opening at 3pm and cars on track for practice at 4:30pm, with qualifying races to follow at 5:30pm. Opening ceremonies are slated for 7pm and immediately followed by the main feature events, starting with multiple D-Mains, C-Main, the semi-feature and the 39-lap main event.

LINCOLN, ILL. (August 16, 2019) - Although hard to believe, Tyler Courtney's impressive bid on Friday night at Lincoln Speedway marked only the second POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League win of his career. Leading 28 of 30 laps, "Sunshine" overcame a hectic early-race battle and fought off Logan Seavey in the late stages to park his Clauson-Marshall Racing, NOS Energy Drink, Spike/SR-11 No. 17BC in victory lane.
Creating excitement from the drop of the green flag, fans witnessed a nail-biting three-wide battle as C.J. Leary, Tyler Courtney and Logan Seavey immediately went all-out for the top spot. As the duo went to war, Leary laid down low as Courtney crept through the middle and Seavey screamed around the top, but it was Courtney's No. 17BC who found the advantage at the stripe on lap one.
A near-disastrous bobble on the cushion in turn four almost sent Courtney into the fence, but a miraculous save saw him set it back down and slip to third as Leary led the second circuit with Seavey close behind. Quickly recovering, Courtney came charging back and found his way back to the top spot by lap four when a pair of cautions for Cannon McIntosh and Ace McCarthy soon followed.
While Courtney ran away in command on the ensuing restart, the action heated up for second as Leary and Seavey continually went at each other's throats. A caution at the halfway mark restacked the field, but the yellow flew again shortly as fourth-place running Tucker Klaasmeyer stalled his No. 27 while in the midst of a frantic fight for position with Tyler Thomas and Zeb Wise.
Ready to show his cards, Seavey came gunning for Courtney on the restart as the No. 17BC went low and Seavey stuck his Keith Kunz-Curb Agajanian Motorsports, Mobil 1, Bullet/Toyota No. 67 to the high side. Approaching Courtney in the closing stages, Seavey launched a lap 25 slider into turn one as the duo saw the five to go signal, however, Courtney immediately crossed him over and found another gear as he pulled away.
Primed to collect his winnings, Courtney was a quarter-mile away from the checkered flag when the red flag for Ace McCarthy halted the hot and heavy action. Restarting with a green-white-checkered on tap, Courtney nailed it and hauled away from Seavey, ending all doubt in this Friday feature.
Leading 28 of the 30 laps, Tyler Courtney's triumph marked his second-career victory with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League. His other win coming at Lucas Oil Speedway in May of 2017, this Lincoln Speedway score was an impressive one for the Indianapolis, Ind. native aboard the Clauson-Marshall Racing, NOS Energy Drink, Spike/SR-11 No. 17BC.
Logan Seavey of Sutter, Calif. once again finished in second-place at Lincoln Speedway, this time trailing Courtney to the line after chasing Christopher Bell to the stripe in June. Zeb Wise followed his Thursday triumph at Fairbury with a third-place effort in his Clauson-Marshall Racing, Driven 2 Save Lives, Spike/SR-11 No. 39BC.
Closing out the top ten at Lincoln was C.J. Leary in the fourth-spot aboard his Lucas Oil Products, Ripper/SR-11 No. 21KS, Tyler Thomas of Collinsville, Okla. in the fifth position, a hard-charging Holley Hollan in sixth-from-18th aboard her SIRIUSXM No. 67, Tanner Thorson in the seventh spot, Andrew Layser in eighth, Zach Daum in ninth and Jesse Colwell in tenth.
The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League concludes their tripleheader weekend tomorrow night at the "Mighty" Macon Speedway in Macon, Ill. alongside the POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Outlaw Micro League.

FAIRBURY, ILL. (August 15, 2019) - Adding his second-career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League victory on Thursday night, Zeb Wise of Angola, Ind. wheeled the Clauson-Marshall Racing, Driven 2 Save Lives, Spike/SR-11 No. 39BC to the win on Thursday night at Fairbury American Legion Speedway.
Starting from the outside pole, Wise took the green flag alongside PAC Racing Springs High Point Man, Thomas Meseraull. Sliding across turns one and two in front of Wise, Meseraull made an immediate bid for control of the lead, but Wise was too quick with the crossover as he snuck down and drove back by the No. 7X to lead the opening circuit.
Heading straight for the cushion, Wise rocketed away in the early stages as his Clauson-Marshall teammate, Tyler Courtney, made his way into the second spot with a pass on Meseraull. While Courtney set his sights on Wise out front, Logan Seavey of Sutter, Calif. was the hard charger storming through the field aboard his Keith Kunz-Curb Agajanian Motorsports, Mobil 1, Bullet/Toyota No. 67.
Catching Wise with six laps left, Courtney was within striking distance and set himself up to attack his teammate for command of the top spot. Tossing a slider as they came to the five to go signal, Courtney cleared Wise, but was quickly relegated back to second as the caution flew for Thomas Meseraull.
Restarting with six to go, Wise led the field back to green fully aware of Courtney's presence behind him. Another caution on the 27th circuit for Maria Cofer lined the field up for one final restart as Wise led Courtney and a rocket-fast Seavey.
Expecting a challenge for the lead, Wise received nothing in the final three laps as Courtney's hands were too full with an exchange of sliders from Seavey. While those two fought head-to-head, Wise snuck away and drove the No. 39BC to victory, marking his second-career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League win.
Logan Seavey chased Wise to the line, capping an impressive 14th-to-second charge aboard his No. 67. Tyler Courtney rounded out the podium in third with Tanner Thorson and Zach Daum closing out the top five. Finishing inside the top ten was Robert Dalby in sixth, Tucker Klaasmeyer in seventh, Jesse Colwell in eighth, Tanner Carrick in ninth and Cannon McIntosh.
The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League keeps the tripleheader weekend rolling tomorrow Friday, August 16 with a trip to Lincoln Speedway followed by a Saturday, August 17 appearance at Macon Speedway.

BC39 FIELD SOARS PAST 50 WITH BACON, BELL, LARSON AND OTHER TOP STARS ENTERED

Speedway, Indiana (August 14, 2019).........Defending BC39 winner Brady Bacon, along with USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget champions Christopher Bell, Jerry Coons, Jr. Dave Darland, Logan Seavey and Tanner Thorson, as well as NASCAR Monster Energy Cup winner Kyle Larson and a host of others, are among the latest drivers entered for the second running of the Driven2SaveLives BC39 powered by NOS Energy Drink, as the field has now grown to 55 cars for the September 4-5 event at The Dirt Track at IMS.
Bacon, along with July Fairbury, Neb. winner Jason McDougal, are a part of the Broken Arrow, Okla. connection teamed with FMR Racing for the race. Bacon, a two-time USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car champion, led the final nine laps to capture the inaugural event a year ago.
Three series champs in Bell (Norman, Okla.), Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) and Thorson (Minden, Nev.) lead an eight-car assault from the Keith Kunz Motorsports/Curb-Agajanian stable, which also features May's NASCAR Monster Energy All-Star Race winner Larson (Elk Grove, Calif.), plus July Sweet Springs, Mo. winner Tanner Carrick (Lincoln, CA), plus series Rookie Jesse Colwell (Red Bluff, Calif.), Holley Hollan (Broken Arrow, Okla.) and Tucker Klaasmeyer (Paola, Kans.).
Two-time series champs Coons (Tucson, Ariz.) and Darland (Lincoln, Calif.) are part of an all-star Petry Motorsports contingent that also features Kevin Thomas, Jr. (Cullman, Ala.) who led a race-high 30 laps and finished 3rd in last year's BC39 main event.
Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.) took 7th in the 2018 BC39 and has already won once this season at Gas City I-69 Speedway during Indiana Midget Week, one of 12 different winners in the first 21 events of this season.
USAC Western States Midget point leader Robert Dalby (Anaheim, Calif.) returns for his second BC39 appearance. Dalby has won each of the last two USAC Western States Midget feature events at Merced Speedway and Santa Maria Raceway in California, the first two series victories for him in his career.
Clauson/Marshall Racing has entered their core group of four full-time USAC competitors for the event: Tyler Courtney, Chris Windom, Zeb Wise and Andrew Layser.
Defending USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car champion Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.) leads all drivers with six USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget feature wins in 2019 and has led the standings since the start of the season. His CMR teammate, Chris Windom (Canton, Ill.), runs second in the standings behind Courtney. Windom, the 2016 Silver Crown and 2017 National Sprint Car titlist, has won his first two National Midget races over the past two months.
Wise (Angola, Ind.) runs fourth in the standings with two recent victories to his credit during Pennsylvania Midget Week. He was victorious in last year's opening night Stoops Pursuit Race at the BC39. Andrew Layser is in his first year for CMR and tops the series' Rookie points by a commanding margin as he seeks to make his first BC39 feature start.
Michael Pickens, the winningest driver from New Zealand in the history of USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget racing with four series wins, will roll with the RMS LLC team at the BC39 alongside teammate Thomas Meseraull (San Jose, Calif.), a nine-time winner on the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car trail and a winner of last December's Junior Knepper 55 Midget race at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin.
David Prickett (Fresno, Calif.), the 2012 USAC Western States Dirt Midget champ, will drive for Neverlift Motorsports in his second BC39 appearance. Meanwhile, Trey Osborne (Columbus, Ohio), a veteran of Kenyon Midget racing and the Little 500 at Anderson, will drive the famed yellow No. 61 for Mel Kenyon, USAC's winningest National Midget driver with 111 career victories and a four-time top-five finisher at the Indianapolis 500 between 1966 and 1973.
Spencer Bayston, the 2017 USAC National Midget champion from Lebanon, Ind. is entered, along with 2018 Jason Leffler Memorial winner Tyler Thomas (Collinsville, Okla.), USAC National Sprint Car feature winners Brent Beauchamp (Avon, Ind.) and Matt Westfall (Pleasant Hill, Ohio), plus past USAC Western States Midget champion Shannon McQueen (Bakersfield, Calif.) among many others.
Teams can file their entry for the event at www.thebc39.com/, where they may also purchase pit and parking passes for the two-night USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship event.
With the expansion of grandstand seating around the quarter-mile dirt oval, teams purchasing pit passes for the BC39 will be able to add a grandstand seat. Five-hundred reserved seats in Tier 3 (lower level) have been made available for purchase at a discounted rate until August 15. Unsold tickets as of August 15 will be made available at public prices and may sell out.
There are three options for viewing the racing action and also having pit pass access. You can purchase a competitor pit pass only where no seat is included with limited viewing of the track. Secondly, you can purchase a competitor pit pass with reserved seating included, which are available in the lower level of the main grandstands. Both options are available on www.thebc39.com/.
Competitor/crew seating has been added as a special general admission-only section in the main grandstand for the upcoming Driven2SaveLives BC39 powered by NOS Energy Drink at The Dirt Track at IMS on September 4-5. Pits are located outside turns three and four this year, giving competitors and crews direct access to the grandstands.
Competitors and crews have two options: 1) Purchase reserved seats at IMS.com/BC39 and upgrade to a pit pass there or... 2) Purchase a reserved 2-day pit pass at usacracing.ticketspice.com/2019-bc39 and upgrade to include a seat in the general seating section for crews/competitors only.
Additionally, parking will also be available on both ends of the track for those with infield parking passes.
Each entry filed will come with two VIP parking passes for inside parking at IMS. All others must either purchase inside parking or park outside of turns three and four of the 2.5-mile paved oval track.

The BC39 officially gets underway on Tuesday, Sept. 3 with team parking at noon. From 4-6pm, catch five USAC icons at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum's USAC Stars: From the Dirt Track to the Brickyard series. The event will feature legends Don and Mel Kenyon, and current drivers Michael Pickens, Chris Windom and Chad Boat. Pat Sullivan, longtime USAC public address announcer, historian, and author, will emcee this evening of entertaining banter and thrilling stories.

Following the event, make your way to USAC headquarters, just across the street from the IMS Administration office at 4910 W. 16th Street, where drivers will draw for their heat race positions at the BC39 opening night races. All cars entered will be randomized into a draft order for the heat race draft. Teams will be able to pick their heat race spot, either in person with a representative, or remotely through USAC officials. Any unrepresented team will be given the first available spot. The heat race position draft is open to the public with team members getting priority into the new USAC worldwide headquarters. Food and beverages will be available.
On track action begins Wednesday, Sept. 4, beginning with the drivers meeting in the IMS Media Room at 2pm. Public gates open at 3pm with cars hitting the track for practice at 4pm, followed by opening ceremonies at 7pm. Heat races and the Stoops Pursuit race will conclude the night's racing action.
The finale, on Thursday, Sept. 5, will have the public gates opening at 3pm and cars on track for practice at 4pm, with qualifying races to follow at 5pm. Opening ceremonies are slated for 7:30pm and immediately followed by the main feature events, starting with multiple D-Mains and C-Mains, the semi-feature and the 39-lap main event.
