SHUEY WINS BRC LATE MODEL 30; BUCKWALTER WINS TP TRAILERS MODIFIEDS WHILE YOUNG AND SMITH TOPS IN SPORTSMAN FEATURES ON BRC NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW
BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 27, 2017 . . . The outcome of the 30-lap BRC NASCAR Late Model feature on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway came down to a photo finish between Brian Shuey and current point leader and defending champion Chuck Schutz. Shuey was declared the winner for his second win of the year in the event sponsored by Bernheisel Race Components. In order to qualify for the $15,000 in products and $40,000 in discount certificates, each competitor had to display the BRC decals on both sides of their car. Shuey was just glad he could hold off Schutz’s challenges when the pair races side-by-side because, “Schutz had the lane to take the lead away, but I just never gave up exclaimed the winded winner in victory lane. He commented he has had his share of ups and downs this season and luck just hasn’t been on his side.”
The T.P. Trailers 358 NASCAR Modified 30-lap feature also went down to the wire. Tim Buckwalter, who recently returned to the track behind the wheel of the Norm Saxton-owned No. 24, held off veteran campaigner Frank Cozze’s closing lap bids to claim his first win of the season and his second career win to become the 12th different winner in the division. Buckwalter thanked his owner, who Tim was actually directed to him through fellow driver Billy Pauch, and all his crew for their countless efforts.
Two new names were added to the books in the 25-lap NASCAR Sportsman features. Steve Young, driving the Marshall’s Home Comfort Services No. 187, narrowly beat out runner-up Jim Housworth by 0.068 second to record his first ever career victory. The event was the race rained out from the August 19 portion of the show.
The Sportsman feature from the regular segment was closer yet. In the photo finish win, sophomore racer Derrick Smith, piloting a 602 crate engine crossed the line 0.029 seconds ahead of defending point champion Jordan Henn. Smith, who didn’t expect to be in the winner’s circle had no idea that Henn was there until the end.
All feature winners received monetary awards from T.P. Trailers and product vouchers from VP Racing Fuel providing all necessary requirements were met.
Shuey, Buckwalter, Young and Andrew Kreis were the recipients of the Dan’s Deli ½-way hoagie bonuses.
The Late Model feature saw Shuey shoot past polesitter Lou Egrie Sr. to put the Scott Lee owned car at the head of the 17-car starting grid trailed by Egrie Sr., Bryon Sipe, Jordan Knepp and Steve Todorow.
In no time Shuey had a comfortable lead built up and by the sixth lap encountered slower-moving traffic.
The first and only caution was when Shawn Horning spun in the second turn on the 13th lap putting the field right on Shuey’s bumper. Shuey turned it up a bit on the restart since by this time Schutz, who started eighth, was in the runner-up spot giving Shuey no margin to error.
The former point champions were nip ‘n tuck as the pair put on a fierce side-by-side duel. Schutz would edge ahead slightly, but when the lap counted Shuey was the leader.
It was anyone’s guess as to what the outcome would be, but when the checkered unfurled Shuey was the one that pulled into the winner’s circle beating out Schutz by inches. Todorow was third followed by Egrie Sr. and Drew Weisser.
Bobby Gunther-Walsh quickly took the early lead at the onset of the T.P.Trailers Modified feature.
Brett Kressley, while running sixth, spun in the second turn and collected Jared Umbenhauer and Jeff Strunk ending the night for all three on the fourth lap caution. Gunther-Walsh held his pace when action resumed with Buckwalter pressuring him.
The lead changed on the sixth lap when Buckwalter motored into first leaving Gunther-Walsh, Mark Kratz, Steve Swinehart, Ryan Grim and John Willman in a five-car battle for second.
Five laps later Buckwalter had a commanding lead built up and it was now Swinehart in pursuit.
The field regrouped when Brian Krummel, a feature winner this year, spun in the first turn for the second and final caution. Buckwalter wasted no time moving out on the restart to maintain his spot.
With ten laps to go, 16th-place starter Cozze overtook second and used the lap cars to his advantage to close the gap and quickly catch Buckwalter.
As the laps wound down Cozze was getting closer and closer to Buckwalter.
Buckwalter was determined to keep Cozze behind him and he did just that. At the drop of the checkered he earned a hard-fought battle with Cozze, S. Swinehart, posting his best finish of the year; Willman and Doug Manmiller chasing his across.
Gunther-Walsh, S. Swinehart and Kratz won the heats. Danny Erb, returning for the first time since his health issues several months ago, won the consi.
In the rained out August 19th Sportsman feature, Andrew Kreis led three laps before Young took the outside lane off turn four and became the new leader.
While Young showed the way, Kenny Bock and Kreis diced for second with Ryan Higgs, Jack Butler and Kyle Lilick jockeying for the remaining positions.
Jack Butler overtook second on lap 13 to challenge Young, but his night ended when the engine left go nine laps later bringing out the yellow. Mike Lisowski, who had previously took over second had to pit since smoke was bellowing out his car. Their misfortune put Housworth in second and he made several attempts to pass Young the final remaining laps.
Housworth tried many moves to pass Young, but each one failed and Young went on to collect the win. Housworth had to settle for second followed by Bock, K. Lilick and Jordan Henn.
The second Sportsman feature saw Kreis once again take the early lead and he stayed glued to the bottom while action him was hot and heavy for the remaining spots between Smith, Bock, Louden Reimert and Dylan Swinehart.
A fourth turn tangle between Kyle Lilick, Housworth and Ryan Shupp brought out the yellow on lap 18. On this restart Smith charged to the front of the pack leaving Reimert, Henn and Ryan Lilick battle for second which gave Smith some breathing room.
Henn passed Reimert with two to go and was all over Smith pressuring him for first.
Smith never surrendered the lead and went on to narrowly claim a well-deserved win followed by Henn, Reimert, R. Lilick and Craig Whitmoyer.
Brad Grim won the August 19 consi.
Heat winners in the regular show were John McGovern, Smith and Bock. Lisowski won the consi.
Coming up on September 2nd is four division show of racing that will include the TP Trailers Modifieds, BRC Late Models, Sportsman and Blast from the Past Vintage racers. In addition the Modifieds will run in two 30-lap features including the rained out feature from August 19th. Again adults pay just $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted free.
Advance tickets for the 47th Annual Freedom 76 Run in Memory of Bruce Rogers will be on sale each Saturday leading up to September 16th. Advance tickets are $35 for adults. On race day the tickets will sell for $40.

The Accord Speedway has suffered through the 2017 with rainout after rainout and most recently two consecutive postponements. With a mixture of sun and clouds on Friday night and offering a great day in the Catskills, the speedway swung back into racing action on as promoters Gary and Donna Palmer were able to produce a great night of racing at the speedway. The talented roster of drivers were more than anxious to set their wheels in motion on the speedway after two weeks of sitting out race events. Despite the constant interference from the weather, Promoter Gary Palmer had the speedway in great shape and racing trim as the captivating racing action spread across the speedway with at least four distinct racing channels for the drivers to work their magic. The racing action was excellent in the eight divisions offered and he evening of speed was sponsored by the good folks at Tom's Repair Shop located in New Paltz, New York.
The hotly contested events found "Gentleman" Ed Dachenhausen sailing to his career win in the United Pump and Tank Modifieds and doing so by wiring the field. Tony Kowalchuk took advantage of a front row starting spot as he drove to his second win of the season in the Arkel Motors Sportsman event. "The Italian Stallion" Vinny Visconti was cat-quick as he captured his second win of the season in the WRWD Radio Rookie Sportsman feature event. "Captain Quick" Jeremy Quick was just that as he drove to his second win of the season in the WRWD Radio NEWS Sprint Car finale. The Want Ad Digest sponsored Junior Slingshot division found youngster Brock Pinkerous finding the hot ticket to victory lane as he scored his second 2017 win at the speedway. "The Intimidator" Ray Tarantino used a mid-race charge to become the victor of the Upstate Auto Pure Stock encounter for his fourth win at the speedway for 2017. Former track champion Peter Dance was spot on as he winged his way to victory in the twenty lap Lightning Sprint feature event. Dave Donovan added another notch to his win column as he claimed the Emmanuel's Marketplace 4-Cylinder Enduro night cap for his fourth consecutive win in a row.
Ed Dachenhausen and Mike Ricci brought the United Pump and Tank Modified field down for the start of the 30-lap headliner. Dachenhausen was a man possessed as he jumped out front and distanced himself quickly from the competition. A couple of skirmishes slowed the pace a bit but Dachenhausen was clicking off steady 13.3 second laps and with each restart left the remainder of the field in his wake. Brad Rothaupt broke into second place early on and took up the chase. When the leaders hit slower traffic, Dachenhausen moved through them faster than Rothaupt and built up a bigger lead and crossed under Rich Roosa's checkered flag for his first career Modified win at the speedway. Rothaupt was a strong runner-up with Richard Smith continuing to do great work at the speedway with a third place at the end. Rich Ricci Jr was fourth and point leader Danny Tyler rounded out the top five. Mike Ricci steered the second VanDuser racer to sixth place with Scott Ferrier, Danny Creeden, the returning Tommy Johnson and Ken Ferrier completing the top ten.
The Arkel Motors Sportsman headliner found Tony Kowalchuk with the hot foot as he grabbed the lead quickly with Tyler Johnston applying the pressure. Kowalchuk found a home at the top of the speedway and rim-rode his way off the cushion to lead all laps on his way to victory even though Johnston kept the pressure on throughout the event. Johnston would finish second with Rich Ricci III in third, Nick Johnson fourth and the returning Jamie Yannone nailing down fifth place. Robbie Knipe, Cole Hentschel, Greg McCloskey, Matt Shultz and the returning Rafael Carson completed the top ten.
The WRWD Radio Rookie Sportsman feature main event found Vinny Visconti leading the first three laps until a spin slowed the action. On the restart Jeff Higham grabbed the lead and would lead a lap before a strong move by Visconti placed him back at the top of the heap. From then on Visconti found clear sailing throughout the remainder of the race to go on and claim his second feature win of the season at the Accord Speedway. Hunter Lapp continues to impress with a strong runner-up finish while the Jeff Higham was third, John Brown fourth and Ryan McCartney finishing fifth. Jared Miller headed up the second five with Alex VanPelt, Kevin Stevens, Michael Corbin and John DeWitt making up the remainder of the field.
The WRWD Radio NEWS Sprint Car main found Corey Wood getting upside down on the first lap. Wood walked away unhurt but severe damage was done to the race car. On the restart Jeremy Quick hustled to the top reaches of the speedway and grabbed the lead and found it an easy ride from there as he raced to his second win of the season. Larry Ricci finished second with Bobby Tersillo and Andrew Davis completing the field.
The Want Ad Digest Junior Slingshot main event was all Brock Pinkerous as the young speedster fought off early challenges from Jaden Sleight and Jake Mason to cruise to his second win of the season. Jake Mason hustled to a fine runner-up run with newcomer Amber Baccglini third.
The Upstate Auto Pure Stock feature kicked off with Steve Williams getting the drop on the field at the start of the event. Ray Tarantino grabbed up the runner-up slot early on and began to stick the nose of his race car under Williams letting him know he was there. Tarantino made the winning move off of turn two to take command of the lead and would lead the remaining laps to claim his fourth win of the season. Williams would finish second with John Hechinger third while Travis Brockner and Emerson Cargain Jr would complete the top five. Bob Sleight headed up the second five with the returning Jay Smalley, Steven Kanuk, the returning Shawn Maloney and Craig Cuneo finishing out the top ten.
The Empire Lightning Sprint feature found former three time track champion Clint Roehrs in the drivers seat for the first ten laps before another former champion Peter Dance drove his Pat Potter owned hot rod around him on the outside to take command of the lead. Dance would go on to capture the win with the hard charging Rich Wood finishing second. If Wood could have claimed the win there was a bounty waiting for him by he fell one short of the mark. Roehrs was third with Canadian Tony Moreau finishing fourth and Justin Phillips rounding out the top five.
The Emmanuel's Marketplace 4 Cylinder Enduro event closed out the show with Scott Gumaer leading the first six laps before yielding to the high flying Dave Donovan. Donovan was leading but a trio of racers were chasing him with each passing lap. Lap-29 would find Dan Curry taking over the and quickly stretched it out until lap-33 when he abruptly spun out and was out of the event. Donovan inherited the lead and would lead the remainder of the way to claim his fourth straight at the speedway. Gene Helms was the runner-up and contended throughout the event. Joe Rotella made it to the podium in third place.
GEMSTONES:
Tom's Repair Shop located in New Paltz, New York was the headline sponsor for the evening and supported the speedway with three cars competing in three divisions at the speedway. "Tommy Gun" Tommy Johnson competes in the Modifieds, Nick Johnson in the Sportsman and Livy Johnson has been a fixture in the Pure Stocks. Many thanks to the Johnson Family for their support of the racing at Accord.
The eight divisions who made their way onto the speedway to do battle resulted in many exciting heat races that found John Miller and John Brown winning the Rookie Sportsman qualifiers. Modified heats were claimed by Richard Smith, Ed Dachenhausen and Brad Rothaupt. Jeremy Quick claimed the Sprint Car heat win. Ray Tarantino and Emerson Cargain Jr were victorious in the Pure Stock division heats. Tyler Johnston, Tony Kowalchuk and Brandon McGill captured the Sportsman heat wins. Jaden Sleight claimed the Junior Slingshot heat event. Rich Wood was victorious in the Lightning Sprint heat.
New cars and drivers that arrived for action last night included Austin Helmich and Robbie Colburn in the Rookie Sportsmen. Howard Jarvis, a strong contender for years at Accord, took a ride in the Plumstead owned Sportsman car. Joey Bruning broke in hot laps in the New York Truck Parts entry and Kyle VanDuser was sidelined early on with mechanical problems. The Pure Stock ranks were bolstered by Shawn Maloney and Shawny Hazel. Amber Baccaglini was a new addition to the Junior Slingshot ranks.
Speedway regular Heidi Hedin was missing in action as she took a hard tumble in the catch fence at the New Egypt Speedway last Saturday night. Heidi will return to action at Accord soon. Brian Malcolm had rough night at the speedway as through no fault of his own was involved in two incidents with heavy damage to the County Waste/Stafursky NAPA/Sharkey's Fuel sponsored hot rod. Eric Jennings also had some problems as his sprinter suffered heavy damage in his heat event, and Larry McVay and Corey Wood encountered problems in the Sprint feature
The Enduro event was exciting The drivers were quick as they raced through the disabled cars and really put on a super show for the fans.
With only a few weeks left in the regular season, it is imperative those seeking a point championship be at their very best in the last remaining events to be able to be in a position to make a run for the title. These are the championship weeks as the racing intensifies and leads to the "Night of Champions" on September 8th, which will be presented by Upstate Auto as a special tribute night for first responders.
Uncle Mike Hansen was back in the booth for the racing action and talked about the upcoming first responders event that is growing in leaps and bounds.

NEW EGYPT, NJ (August 23, 2017) – Two of the region’s most popular racing divisions converged on New Egypt Speedway, this past Wednesday, for Jersey Rush VII presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings. JJ Grasso of Middletown, DE scored the win – and the $5,000 prize money -- in the 410 Sprint Car portion of the event, while Billy Pauch Jr. of Frenchtown, NJ was victorious in an action-packed Modified feature.
“The set-up on this car was perfect tonight,” Grasso gushed in victory lane. “All I had to do is get behind the wheel and drive – it couldn’t have been more perfect.”
Robbie Stillwaggon and Kyle Reinhardt led the field to the green flag, and kicked off the 30-lap A-Main in fine fashion charging hard on the topside of the 7/16-mile dirt track – it was short lived as Danny Dietrich spun on the second circuit bringing the yellow out for the first time.
Stillwaggon powered ahead on the start, with Grasso moving into the second position. Grasso slid inside Stillwaggon on lap four, with Kyle Reinhardt moving into the second position. The caution flew for the second time on the lap 15 when Mark Bitner’s No. 15 slowed on the front stretch.

It was all Grasso on the restart, pulling away from the field and maintaining a sizable advantage as laps clicked down. Grasso and the No.37 BK Trucking machine would roll on for the win with Kyle Reinhardt coming home in the second position. Lucas Wolfe finished in the third position after an exciting battle with Davey Sammons – who settled for fourth and Ryan Smith rounded out the top-five finishers.
The big-block of three-time defending New Egypt Speedway track champion, Ryan Godown led the field to the start of the 30-lap modified feature event with Danny Bouc on his outside. Godown took the lead on the initial start, but a lap two caution slowed the field.
On the restart, Bouc took the lead with Pauch Jr. following into the second position. Action slowed for the second time on the third circuit.
Pauch Jr. took the lead on the restart with Duane Howard powering the Norm’s Save Station No. 357 into the second spot.

At the halfway point, Pauch Jr. maintained control, while all eyes were fixated on the four-car battle for the second position – with Howard holding off challenges from Bouc, Jeff Strunk, and Brandon Grosso.
Pauch would weave through heavy lapped traffic, maintaining a sizable advantage over the battle for second place, and collecting the $3,000 Jersey Rush VII victory. Howard held on to the runner-up position, while Danny Bouc finished third, Brandon Grosso in fourth, and Jeff Strunk rounded out the top five.
Danny Dietrich claimed the CnB Chubby Quick Time Award with a fast lap of 13.944 in 410 Sprint Car Time Trials.
Oliver Communications Group Heat Race Bonuses went to Robbie Stillwaggon and Davey Sammons in the 410 Sprint Cars and Danny Bouc and Brandon Grosso in the Modifieds.

NEW EGYPT, NJ (August 21, 2017) – The Pioneer Pole Buildings Jersey Rush VII is fast approaching with the green flag set to fall at 7:30 PM on Wednesday night, August 23 at the New Egypt Speedway. A $5,000 payday will go to the winner of the 35 lap 410 sprint car feature and several drivers are already planning a bank deposit. Lucas Wolfe, “Double D” Danny Dietrich, Davey Sammons and previous Jersey Rush winners Ryan Smith and JJ Grasso are geared up and likely big contenders for the win.
The most popular racing divisions in the area – the 410 Sprint Cars and the Modifieds – combine for an all-out battle of the best racers around. This thrilling double division main event will kick off with an exclusive pre-race pit party for all race fans from 5 to 6 PM. Come out early and meet the drivers before the racing event gets underway at 7:30 PM.
The 410 Sprint Cars will race for a $5,000 pay day with $1,000 going to the tenth place finisher and $300 to start the A-main. The area’s fastest Sprint Car drivers will compete in 10 lap heat races – set from time trials, and a 12 lap B-Main before the 30 lap main event. Only approved Hoosier H-Series tires will be eligible for competition.
A Big-Block vs. Small-Block Modifieds challenge will offer a $3,000 top prize with $1,000 going to the fifth-place finisher and $250 to start the feature event. Duane Howard, Ryan Godown, Billy Pauch Jr, Jeff Strunk, Rick Laubach, and Danny Bouc are among the top contenders in the modified division planning to be in the hunt. The top-12 heat race finishers will redraw for feature starting positions. Modifieds MUST use American Racer tires with a left rear 44 compound and a right rear 48 compound. Competitors have the option of running a Big-Block with windows or a spec Small-Block with Sail Panels. Big-Blocks must weigh a minimum of 2,500 lbs.; Open Small Blocks must weigh a minimum of 2,450 lbs. and use windows; Spec Small Blocks on alcohol must weigh a minimum of 2,350 lbs. and on gas a minimum of 2,275 lbs. and have the option to run sail panels.
Oliver Communications Group, a telecommunications cabling company, based in Bordentown, New Jersey, has upped the ante offering $200 bonus money to the winners of the 410 Sprint Car and Modified qualifying heats on Wednesday, August 23.
Before the racing action, fans will be treated to a special pre-race Meet and Greet from 5:00-6:00 PM. All race fans are welcome to visit the pit area and get an up-close look at the stars and cars competing in the JERSEY RUSH VII. Spectators can enter the pit area from the gate behind the fourth turn grandstands.
Adult Admission for Jersey Rush VII is $30, Children (6-11): $10 and Children 5 and under are FREE! Pit admission is $35 with no license required.

BOUC BLASTS TO HIS SECOND WIN OF THE SEASON AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY
New Egypt, NJ (August 20, 2017) – At New Egypt Speedway’s Central Paint Night, Danny Bouc blasted to his second 358 Modified feature win of the season. Mike Lyons scored the victory in the Hammer Sportsman contest. Ryan Godown took the checkered flag in the Northeast Wingless Sprint Car main event. The Crate Modified feature was taken by Tommy Tanner.
As the 30-lap feature for the 358 Modifieds began, PJ Oliver hopped to the front of the pack with John McClelland in second. Seventh place starting Danny Bouc was rapidly on the move and motored into third with two laps completed. After a caution period on the second circuit, Oliver was still in front when racing resumed with Bouc taking second from McClelland. Quickly, Bouc engaged Oliver in a battle for the lead with Bouc coming out on top on lap four. After two additional yellow flags on laps ten and eleven, Bouc was still the leader with Billy Pauch, Jr., David VanHorn, McClelland and Oliver next in line. Bouc tried to distance himself from Pauch, Jr. and the field but two red flag incidents on the fourteenth and sixteenth circuits slowed his progress. Once action returned on lap seventeen, Bouc remained in front with Pauch, Jr., McClelland and VanHorn trying to maintain the pace. On lap twenty-one, Bouc was beginning to pull away from his rivals when Oliver and Ryan Krachun, who were engaged in a spirited battle for fifth, caused the last caution of the event. On the final restart of the event, Bouc repelled a challenge from Pauch, Jr. to remain in front with VanHorn driving into third. For the remainder of the race, Bouc stayed in control to collect his second win of the 2017 season. Pauch, Jr., the current point leader, came home in second place. VanHorn’s strong run netted him third. Fourth went to McClelland and Ryan Godown finished in fifth. PJ Oliver, Danny Bouc and Bryan Kuhl won the 358 Modified heat races.
Mike Lyons won for the second time this year after taking the checkered flag in the 20-lap Hammer Sportsman feature. Steve Desmelyk paced the opening two circuits before the sixth place starting Lyons took over. Following a caution and restart on lap thirteen, Bob Lineman, Jr. grabbed the lead from Lyons. With five laps remaining, Lyons regained the top spot after a vigorous duel with Lineman, Jr. Lyons held on to his advantage in the final tours for the win. The runner-up position was snared by JR Fulper. Cale Ross took third. Pat Wall was fourth and fifth was captured by Billy Osmun, III. The Hammer Sportsman qualifying races were captured by Mike Lyons and Bob Lineman, Jr.
For the eighth time in 2017, Ryan Godown was victorious in the Northeast Wingless Sprint Car main event. In the 20-lap affair, Larry Drake led the opening two tours before Rich Mellor gained the advantage. On the sixth circuit, Godown passed Mellor and led the remaining distance for the win. Lee Nardelli came home in second. Mellor, Bob Tersillo and Jermain Godshall completed the top five. Lee Nardelli and Ryan Godown took the Northeast Wingless Sprint Car heat races.
In the non-point 20-lap contest for the Crate Modifieds, Tommy Tanner took the lead from polesitter Kyle Kania with three circuits remaining and paced the field for the remainder of the race to collect his first career New Egypt Speedway checkered flag. Kania claimed the runner-up spot. John Criscione was third, Jason Dunn came home in fourth and fifth was taken by Ryan Simmons. Jeremy Martino and Jason Dunn grabbed wins in the heat races for the Crate Modifieds.
This week at New Egypt Speedway, two big events are on the docket. On Wednesday, August 23, Jersey Rush VII takes place with the 410 Sprint Cars and Modifieds (Big Block/Small Block) seeing action in a spectacular two-division mid-week show. Each class will compete in 30-lap feature events with big money on the line. The 410 Sprint Cars will race for a $5,000 winner's share, with $1,000 going to the tenth place finisher and $400 to start the A-main. The Modifieds will compete for a $3,000 top prize with $1,000 going to the fifth place finisher and $250 to start the feature event. On Saturday, August 26, Black Horse Racing presents Fan Appreciation Night. The Mr. Sportsman Classic takes place on this special evening of racing with a 30-lap feature for the Hammer Sportsman along with the Mr. Wingless Classic 25-lap main affair for the Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars. The Crate Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4-Cylinder Cars and the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club will be on the agenda as well. An exhibition race featuring crew members from several race teams will close out the night. Grandstand admission prices will be discounted and plenty of giveaways are slated to be doled out on this special night honoring the fans of New Egypt Speedway. All gates will open at 4:00 p.m. Warm-ups start at 6:00 p.m. and racing gets underway at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the grandstand is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 and older, $5 for teens 12-15, $5 for military personal and their spouses with ID, and kids 11 and under are free! Pit admission is $30 with a New Egypt Speedway license and $40 with no license.

RAINED OUT FEATURES RESCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 26TH AND SEPTEMBER 2ND
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. August 20, 2017 . . . Wayne Pfeil won his second 20-lap BRC NASCAR Late Model Feature of the season on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway by holding off the challenges of runner-up Steve Todorow in the activities sponsored by Hatfield Quality Meats.
Dominique Deglas won the 15-lap Blast From The Past Vintage Class feature while Brett Peters was the victor in the 15-lap Vintage Modified Division feature.
Before the sportsman consolation race, the 358 T.P. Trailers 30-lap NASCAS Modified feature and the 25-lap NASCAR Sportsman feature could be completed, rain postponed the conclusion of the show. This is the eighth event of the season impacted by rain.
Saturday, August 26 the show will start at 7:30 p.m. with the Sportsman consi, the 25-lap Sportsman feature and a complete triple header event topped off with a Late Model, Modified and Sportsman qualifying events and features. All will be part of the BRC Superior Products with Late Models topping the show with a 30-lap feature. Thousands of dollars in product and merchandise awards will be available to Late Model racers displaying BRC decals on both sides of their race car.
The 30-lap rained out Modified feature will kick off the September 2 show followed by qualifying events and features for the Late Models, Modified and Sportsman.
In the 20-lap BRC NASCAR Late Model feature Kyle Merkel led four laps before Pfeil made an outside pass to become the new leader on the fifth circuit.
A second turn spin by Shawn Horning brought out the yellow on the sixth lap. Before action resumed, Merkel went pit side with mechanical problems. Pfeil maintained the lead on the restart with Todorow, Bryon Sipe, Chuck Schutz and Steve Wilson in tow.
Todorow made several runs on Pfeil, who developed a bad push in the turns, but couldn’t make the pass to overtake first.
Pfeil managed to keep the competition behind despite his handling issues and pulled into Victory Lane for his 11th career win trailed by Todorow, Sipe, Schutz and Wilson.
In the Vintage feature Deglas passed leader bobby Hall on the sixth lap and went on to claim the win followed by Andy Cassel, Hall, Bill Gerhart and Rick Mutter.
Todd Lapp set the pace in the Modified Vintage feature for four laps until Peters got past him and went on to claim the win followed by Randy Bailey, Doug Stepanchuk, Ron Myers and Mike Kelly.
Modified heat winners were Brett Kressley, Steve Swinehart and Clay Butler. Mike Mahaney won the consi.
Heat winners in the Sportsman were Andrew Kreis, Jack Butler and Steve Young.

410 SPRINTS & MODIFIEDS IN ‘THE ULTIMATE DOUBLE HEADER’ AT NEW EGYPT WEDNESDAY AUGUST 23
NEW EGYPT, NJ (August 19, 2017) – After a drenching rain halted the original run of the Pioneer Pole Buildings Jersey Rush VII, the event will go on Wednesday night, August 23 at the New Egypt Speedway. The most popular racing divisions in the area – the 410 Sprint Cars and the Modifieds – combine for an all-out battle of the best racers around. This thrilling double division main event will kick off with an exclusive pre-race pit party for all race fans from 5 to 6 PM. Come out early and meet the drivers before the racing event gets underway at 7:30 PM.
The 410 Sprint Cars will race for a $5,000 pay day with $1,000 going to the tenth place finisher and $300 to start the A-main. The area’s fastest Sprint Car drivers will compete in 10 lap heat races – set from time trials, and a 12 lap B-Main before the 30 lap main event. Only approved Hoosier H-Series tires will be eligible for competition.
Previous Jersey Rush winners Ryan Smith and JJ Grasso are among the stars looking to score wins in the Garden State. While fan favorites like Danny Dietrich and Lucas Wolfe are chasing their first victories at the Jersey dirt track.
A Big-Block vs. Small-Block Modifieds challenge will offer a $3,000 top prize with $1,000 going to the fifth-place finisher and $250 to start the feature event. The top-12 heat race finishers will redraw for feature starting positions. Modifieds MUST use American Racer tires with a left rear 44 compound and a right rear 48 compound. Competitors have the option of running a Big-Block with windows or a spec Small-Block with Sail Panels. Big-Blocks must weigh a minimum of 2,500 lbs.; Open Small Blocks must weigh a minimum of 2,450 lbs. and use windows; Spec Small Blocks on alcohol must weigh a minimum of 2,350 lbs. and on gas a minimum of 2,275 lbs. and have the option to run sail panels.
Modified competitors like Billy Pauch Jr, Ryan Godown, Danny Bouc, Duane Howard, Rick Laubach and Jeff Strunk are all expected to be in attendance
Oliver Communications Group, a telecommunications cabling company, based in Bordentown, New Jersey, has upped the ante offering $200 bonus money to the winners of the 410 Sprint Car and Modified qualifying heats on Wednesday, August 23
Before the racing action, fans will be treated to a special pre-race Meet and Greet from 5:00-6:00 PM. All race fans are welcome to visit the pit area and get an up-close look at the stars and cars competing in the JERSEY RUSH VII. Spectators can enter the pit area from the gate behind the fourth turn grandstands.
Adult Admission for Jersey Rush VII is $30, Children (6-11): $10 and Children 5 and under are FREE! Pit admission is $35 with no license required.
Pit Gates open at 3:30 PM, Grandstands open at 5:00 PM, the Driver’s Meeting will be at 6:15 PM, Warm-Ups at 7:00 PM and racing at 7:30 PM.
