BOUC BAGS HIS SECOND MODIFIED WIN OF THE SEASON AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY

New Egypt, NJ (August 5, 2018) - On National Parts Supply's Scout Night at
New Egypt Speedway, Danny Bouc bagged his second Modified feature of the
season. The Hammer Sportsman feature was captured by Joseph Brown. Rich
Mellor claimed the Larry's Hot Rods & Harley's Northeast Wingless Sprint Car
main event.

As the 30-lap feature for the Modifieds got underway, PJ Oliver grabbed the
lead over Davey Sammons and Bryan Kuhl. By the seventh tour, the top two of
Oliver and Sammons were engaged in a duel for the top spot. On the next
circuit, Sammons had just taken command when the yellow flag appeared as
Oliver appeared to have grazed the inside guardrail in the fourth turn and
spun. After another caution on lap nine for a flat on Matt Stangle's ride,
Sammons was still in control with John McClelland and fourteenth place
starting Billy Pauch Jr. next in line. Following another caution and
restart, Sammons was still setting the pace with Pauch Jr., McClelland,
Danny Bouc and David VanHorn in tow as the contest reached the halfway
point. Just after the midway mark of the race, Bouc, who started the feature
in sixteenth, moved his racecar to the upper groove and the tactical change
quickly helped his efforts to move forward. On lap eighteen, Bouc drove by
Sammons to take over the front running spot just before the yellow lights
illuminated for a multi-car tangle on the track. When the green flag waved
again, Bouc remained in first with Pauch Jr. motoring into the runner-up
spot for one lap until VanHorn ascended into second on the next revolution.
As the event progressed into the final third, the scoreboard showed Bouc in
front with VanHorn in second and Sammons in third. With five to go, Bouc was
pulling away from his rivals as Sammons was using the high line to reel in
VanHorn for second. On lap twenty-six, Sammons swept past VanHorn to retake
the spot. Over the closing laps, Bouc continued to increase his advantage to
take his second win of the season and tenth of his career at New Egypt
Speedway. A strong run by Sammons netted the Modified rookie second place.
With VanHorn finishing third, Brandon Grosso was fourth and McClelland came
home in fifth. The Modified heat races were won by David VanHorn, Davey
Sammons and Billy Pauch Jr.

After taking the lead from Bob Rambone on the second circuit, Joseph Brown
survived several restarts in the first half of the 20-lap Hammer Sportsman
feature to capture his first career checkered flag. Brown, who was a rookie
at New Egypt Speedway in 2017, started the race in third. Pat Wall followed
Brown and finished in second place. Third place was taken by Jimmy Amato.
Will Dupree was fourth and fifth went to Cale Ross. Joseph Brown and Pat
Wall were victors in the qualifying events for the Hammer Sportsman.

In the 20-lap Larry's Hot Rods & Harley's Northeast Wingless Sprint Car
feature, Rich Mellor took the lead with six circuits to go and survived a
late restart to gain his first career victory. Duane Nixon led the field for
the opening nine tours before Jermain Godshall gained the top spot following
a restart. Using an inside maneuver in the fourth corner, the fifth place
starting Mellor hopped to the front of the field on lap fourteen. Mellor
repelled a challenge by Lee Nardelli following a caution period with two
laps left to snare the win. Nardelli was second with Karl Freyer taking
third. Heidi Hedin, the heat race winner, and Brian Spencer completed the
top five.

On Saturday, August 11 at New Egypt Speedway, Eastern Auto Parts Warehouse
Night takes place with six feature events. The Modifieds will be in action
along with two main events for the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Car Series (complete
show plus make-up feature from April 14). The Crate Modifieds, Street Stocks
& 4-Cylinders round out the docket. The pit gates swing open at 4:00 p.m.
and spectators can begin to enter the grandstand at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps get
started at 6:00 p.m. with the first green flag waving at 7:00 p.m. Admission

JERSEY RUSH VIII

THE JERSEY RUSH VIII IS A NO GO FOR 2018, EVENT TO RETURN TO NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY IN 2019

NEW EGYPT, NJ (August 1, 2018) – For seven years, the Pioneer Pole Buildings Jersey Rush thrilled race fans with an exciting double header of 410 Sprints and Modifieds however, the forecast of threatening weather on Tuesday night, July 24 stopped the eighth running of the event. After scrambling to find a date that would accommodate race teams, tracks, and fans, the Jersey Rush promotional team announced today that the 2018 running of the event will not be rescheduled.

"We hoped to find an opening in the racing schedule that would make things easy for both the race teams and race fans," Co-Promoter Bob Miller stated. "With the amount of midweek shows it was difficult to find a date that didn't conflict with another event."

The Jersey Rush will return to New Egypt Speedway in 2019 and will carry the sponsorship of Pioneer Pole Buildings.

Jersey Rush is co-promoted by Lenny, Danny, and Davey Sammons and special event promoter Bob Miller.

We thank everyone for their past support of the Jersey Rush and we especially want to thank the many drivers that were pre-entered for the event. The show was sure to deliver one of the strongest roster of competitors in the history of the event. We’re looking forward to doing it again in 2019 at New Egypt.

WALL WINS THE MR. SPORTSMAN CLASSIC AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY

New Egypt, NJ (July 29, 2018) - At New Egypt Speedway, Pat Wall won the Mr.
Sportsman Classic. Dan Fleming was the victor in the Crate Modified feature.
The main event for the Larry's Hot Rods & Harley's Northeast Wingless Sprint
Cars went to Karl Freyer. Bill Liedtka took home the checkered flag in the
Mr. Street Stock Classic. Rob Longo was the victor in the 4-Cylinder
contest.

After the original start of the 30-lap Mr. Sportsman Classic for the Hammer
Sportsman was marred by an incident, Pat Wall grabbed the lead on the
ensuing green with Jimmy Amato and Will Dupree in his tracks. Following
several additional appearances of the yellow flag in the opening tours of
the extra distance contest, Wall was still in top with five laps recorded.
Behind Wall, a tight battle for second between Cale Ross and Kyle Kania was
occurring and Kania passed Ross on lap six for the position. With a third of
the race completed, the top three of Wall, Kania, and Ross were in close
quarters and Bob Lineman Jr. was trying to fend off David Burns for fourth.
On lap fourteen, Lineman's race night came to end when a mechanical issue
caused him to slow and stop on the track. When action resumed, Wall
maintained his lead with Kania and Ross still dueling for position. On lap
seventeen, Ross slipped by Kania to regain the runner-up spot. Following a
caution period for Jason Kosch on the eighteenth circuit, racing got back
underway with Wall still on top as Kania worked his way past Ross to retake
second. Over the final ten laps of the race, Wall survived two additional
restarts and continued to use the low groove of the dirt track to win his
third feature of the year. Kania finished in the runner-up spot with Ross
taking third. Burns was fourth and Joe Nappi netted fifth. Billy Osmun and
Cale Ross were the Hammer Sportsman heat race victors.

After a June 30 accident destroyed his race car, Dan Fleming returned to the
Crate Modified ranks and led from start to finish to win the 20-lap feature.
Using a car previously wheeled by Modified driver Ryan Godown, Fleming
racked up his second victory of the season. Rookie Kevin Borden Jr. was
second. Third went to Ryan Simmons. Jeremy Martino completed the race in
fourth and fifth was claimed by Eric Palmer. The Crate Modifieds qualifying
races went to Ryan Simmons and Kyle Kania.

Following a late race miscue by Jermain Godshall, Karl Freyer inherited the
lead and went on to snatch his second checkered flag of the season in the
20-lap main event for the Larry's Hot Rods & Harley's Northeast Wingless
Sprint Car. Godshall led the contest from the start until he brushed the
inside wall with four circuits remaining. Nick Wean followed Freyer across
the finish line. Rich Mellor was third. Lee Nardelli took fourth and fifth
place was grabbed by Duane Nixon. The heat races in the Larry's Hot Rods &
Harley's Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars division were won by Rich Mellor and
Karl Freyer.

For the second year in a row, Bill Liedtka topped the field in the 35-lap
Mr. Street Stock Classic. Marty Derr led the opening two tours before Jimmy
Avery took command. Following a restart, Liedtka became the new point man on
lap four. One revolution later, Jon Meyer passed Liedtka to assume the lead.
After another caution period, Liedtka returned to the top of the pack with
six laps completed. Liedtka fended off several challenges from Meyer in the
first half of the contest to gain his fourth win of the year. Meyer finished
in second. A strong run netted Mick Search third place. Fourth went to Avery
and Billy Wroble was fifth.

After taking the lead on the fourth circuit, Rob Longo paced the field the
remaining distance to capture the 15-lap 4-Cylinder race. Longo survived a
restart and challenge from Joe Garey Sr. with two laps to go to secure the
win in his first appearance at New Egypt Speedway this year. With Garey Sr.
finishing second, Ian Ashford, who led the first three laps, came home in
third. Brian Osborne and Bruce McClaren completed the top five.

On Saturday, August 4 at New Egypt Speedway, National Parts Supply presents
Scout Night. All scouts in uniform will be admitted for free to the
grandstand. On the track, the Modifieds, Hammer Sportsman and Larry's Hot
Rods & Harley's Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars will be in action.
Competitors can begin to enter the pits at 4:00 p.m. and the grandstand
ticket windows open at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps start at 6:00 p.m. and racing gets
underway at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the grandstand is $20 for adults, $18 for

RAIN STOPS PIONEER POLE BUILDINGS JERSEY RUSH VIII AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY TUESDAY NIGHT, MAKE-UP DATE SOON TO BE ANNOUNCED

A weather front stuck in New Jersey for three days with more to come has forced the postponement of the Jersey RUSH VIII set to take place at the New Egypt Speedway on Tuesday night, July 24.

Rain and thunderstorms, which entered the area on Saturday forcing postponement of many racing events including a program slated for New Egypt, failed to leave the area on Monday producing wet grounds. With the front expected to stay through Wednesday, promoters Bob Miller, Len, Dan and Davey Sammons decided it was in everyone’s best interest to cancel the event ahead of time to save unneeded travel expense and loss of work.

“We are especially disappointed losing this race date as we may have assembled the strongest car count and name drivers since the start of the Jersey Rush back in 2011,” said Len Sammons. “We were hoping to see some possibility of a break in the weather, but heavy storms continued on Monday night giving the track crew no chance in producing the excellent racing surface the drivers and fans deserve.”

Jersey Rush VIII combines the only New Jersey appearance of 410 Sprint Cars, plus Modifieds and Sportsman for a full night of action on the racy D-shaped clay oval. The promotional group is actively looking for a make-up date to ensure that we do not have a conflict with other special events.
