BECHTELSVILLE, PA June 22, 2018 . . . Animal lovers and racing fans are invited for another action packed night of NASCAR stock car racing on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway featuring the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman racers. The NASCAR Sportsman stock cars will be featured in the Summer Splash 40 paying $1,500 to win and sure to attract special attention from racers and fans. In addition it will be a Safety Net Sanctuary Raffle Fundraiser to help the animal sanctuary located in nearby Fleetwood offering protection to all types of animals.
Raffle tickets will be sold with lucky ticket buyers winning some great prizes from local businesses and race teams. In addition there will be receptacles in place to donate dry and canned dog and cat food. And there will be some animals on display.
Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing starting at 7:30 p.m. At 5 p.m in an area near the main gate the Low Down and Dirty Internet Radio Show will be offering another of their very popular Meet and Greet sessions. This week Sportsman racer Jesse Landis and Modified standout Ron Kline will be greeting fans and showing off their race cars.
Adult admission for this special night of racing is $20, youngsters 6 thru 11 are admitted for $5 and kids under 6 pay NOTHING.
Sunday afternoon, 1 p.m., the Outlaw Enduros and Blast from the Past Vintage racers will be in action. Adult admission is just $10.

BECHTELSVILLE, PA (June 19, 2018) – It’s one of the most anticipated events of the racing calendar and for the 24th year the Pennsylvania Posse elite group of racers charge towards the high banks on the hill to salute sprint car racing in the Keystone state.
NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series plays host to the Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek on Tuesday, July 3 at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA. The Speedweek event is presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings and features the 410 Sprint Cars and the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, in an exciting doubleheader.
The Grandview Speedweek event features a 35-lap Sprint Car A-Main -- the fifth race of a ten-race stretch for the winged warriors. Drivers from across the region will compete for a $7,000 winner’s share. Tenth place will pay $1,050 with $400 to start the A-main.
Also on the card, Grandview’s own NASCAR 358 Modifieds battle in a 30-lap event, with $3,000 up for grabs.
Time Trials for the 410 Sprint Cars will open the show on Tuesday, July 3 at 7:30 PM. The pit gates will open at 2:30 PM and the Grandstands will open at 5:00 PM. Fans can up-close to the drivers and their mighty machines with the Low Down and Dirty Meet and Greet kicking off at 5:00 PM.
General Admission Adult tickets are $28, Children ages 6-11 are $10, and Under 6 is Free of charge! Pit admission is $35, and no license is required.
With no regular Sprint Car action, drivers from all of the central Pennsylvania hotbeds are anxious to get on the neutral ground that Grandview provides. Expected entrants include Danny Dietrich; Greg Hodnett, an 8-time winner at Grandview Speedway; Lucas Wolfe, Ryan Smith, Freddie Rahmer, Brandon Rahmer, and Alan Krimes.
In 2017, a late race incident with leader Ryan Smith handed the top spot over to NASCAR-star Kyle Larson, who would go on to claim the Grandview Speedway Speedweek victory.
The Grandview small-block Modified stars will be out in full force defending their home turf: Brett Kressley, Craig VonDohren, Jeff Strunk, Jared Umbenhauer and Doug Manmiller.
Advance tickets are on sale now and may be ordered by calling 443-513-4456. Please provide your name and the number of tickets requested. Tickets may be picked up and paid for on race night after 4:00 PM. Advance ticket holders may enter the grandstands at 4:30 PM, one-half hour prior to the sale of General Admission tickets. Advance tickets will be available until 9 AM on race day. General Admission tickets go on sale at 5 PM.
Fans may camp out at the Speedway for the ultimate Speedweek experience. Campers are asked to park in the turn 4 parking area, there are no hook-ups available, and no box camping allowed. Track officials ask that all fires be contained. There is no fee for camping.

VON DOHREN SCORES SEASON FIRST WIN AT GRANDVIEW, PFEIL AND LILICK ARE REPEAT WINNERS ON T.P.TRAILERS AND TRUCK EQUIPMENT NIGHT
BECHTELSVILLE, PA JUNE 17, 2018 – Craig Von Dohren recorded his first 30-lap T.P Trailers NASCAR 30-lap Modified feature win of the season at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. Wayne Pfeil and Kyle Lilick were season repeat winners in the Late Model and Sportsman features in the activities sponsored by T.P. Trailers and Truck Equipment.
All feature winners received monetary awards from T.P. Trailers and merchandise awards from VP Fuels providing they met the necessary requirements.
Von Dohren’s 103rd career win didn’t come easily for the defending and ten-time point champion. The Oley lead foot had to hold off the continuous challenges of Jared Umbenhauer, who returned with a back-up car after his primary one was destroyed by last week’s fire. Von Dohren had to weave in and out of lap traffic once he merged ahead on the 20th lap.
Von Dohren credited crew chief Jason Bashore and all the pit crew members plus sponsors for their continuous support and was thankful that the breaks were in his favor for a change.
Bobby Gunther-Walsh set the pace for five laps before the yellow was out for debris along the homestretch. When action resumed Danny Erb, who returned after missing a few weeks, charged to the front of the pack leaving Gunther-Walsh, Mark Kratz, Umbenhauer and Doug Manmiller dice for positions.
Manmiller overtook second on the seventh lap to pressure Erb, who stuck to the high groove while Manmiller tried to duck underneath him.
While Erb and Manmiller battled for the lead this allowed Umbenhauer to reel the pair in to make it a three-way battle for first.
The lead changed for the third time on the 18th lap when Umbenhauer, who overtook the runner up spot on lap 16, proceeded to charge into the lead, but Erb stayed with him trying to regain control.
The running order behind Umbenhauer by this time now consisted of Erb, Von Dohren, Manmiller and Duane Howard.
Umbenhauer went high coming off of turn four on the 20th lap and Von Dohren took advance of the situation and went through the middle to put the Nick Gatto powered No. 1C at the head of the class.
Lapped traffic came into the picture as the front runners had to use heads up driving to maneuver past them. This allowed last week’s feature winner Jeff Strunk to close the distance and made it a three-way race for the top spot.
Von Dohren hit all the right marks to proceed into victory lane for the win. Following closely across the line were Umbenhauer, Strunk, Manmiller and Howard.
Walsh, Umbenhauer and Kyle Weiss were the heat winners. Brett Kressley had trouble in the first heat, but was able to pull off the consi win.
In the 25-lap ASCAR Late Model feature Wayne Pfeil, out of action last week due to engine problems, started on the pole and led every lap of the event.
The red was thrown on the sixth lap after Chuck Schutz, last week’s winner, clipped the inside fourth turn guard rail and shot up into the fourth turn wall with hard impact. He was uninjured, but the car sustained heavy damage. Pfeil maintained his lead on the restart and within no time had a healthy lead built up.
Positions behind Pfeil were constantly changing, but he never faltered to go on to claim his lucky 13th career win. Finishing second was Danny Snyder followed by Kyle Merkel, Drew Weisser and Steve Todorow, already a feature winners this year.
Mike Mammana, returning to Sportsman action after sitting out much of last year due to an early injury, was the early pacesetter in the Sportsman main event with Andrew Kreis, Mark Kemmerer, Lilick and Kurt Bettler in pursuit.
Lilick moved into second on the 10th circuit in an effort to overtake the lead.
B.J. Joly stopped between the third and fourth turn for the 11th lap caution. Before action resumed, Jim Housworth, running a strong fifth dropped out of contention. Mammana continued to show the pace with Lilick making valiant efforts to pass him. Lilick made several attempts to get underneath Mammana, but was unsuccessful.
Lilick’s bid for first stuck on the 17th lap as when he was able to move. At the same time Louden Reimert followed through for second.
Lilick kept everyone behind him to go on to capture another win for his third career victory. Second went to Reimert followed by Kemmerer, Whitmoyer and Funk III.
Heats were won by Mammana, Kemmerer and Gary Wagner.
Next Saturday these same Sportsman drivers plus a host of others will compete in the Summer Splash 40-lap event along with the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models with action set to get underway at 7:30 p.m. The night will also include the Safety Net Sanctuary of Fleetwood Raffle Fundraiser. Fans are invited to support this animal charity by bringing dog and cat food to be deposited in special containers and purchase raffle tickets with many great prizes to be awarded.
Then on Sunday at 1 p.m. the Outlaw Enduros and Blast From the Past Vintage racers will be in action.

USAC’S BRADY BACON GOES BACK-TO-BACK AT GRANDVIEW, RYAN GODOWN GRABS MODIFIED VICTORY AT THUNDER ON THE HILL THURSDAY NIGHT
BECHTELSVILLE, PA (June 14, 2018) – Second verse same as the first. Broken Arrow, Oklahoma’s Brady Bacon scored his second consecutive NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series win on Thursday night, when the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series invaded Grandview Speedway for the kick-off of the 2018 Eastern Storm swing of events.
Bacon took home a $6,000 prize for the Jesse Hockett Classic win in front of a capacity crowd at the Berks County dirt track.
Outside front row starter, Chad Boespflug blasted to the early lead aboard the AMSOIL-sponsored No. 98 machine charging ahead of Bacon and defending USAC Champion, Chris Windom. Not letting Boespflug gain an advantage, the lead trio soared in tandem around the one-third mile.
Lapped traffic would prove to be Boespflug’s demise as he shot to the outside and Bacon shot to the inside of a slower machine. Bacon, using the lapper to his advantage overtook the top spot.
A three-wide battle for third on the 12th circuit saw current USAC Series point leader, Kevin Thomas, Jr. slip into the third position.
The red flew on lap 16 when Justin Grant got upside down on the front stretch ending his night.
Bacon pulled back to the lead on the restart with KTJ challenging for the top spot. The laps clicked off until the 27 circuit when Trevor Kobylarz spun out.
Kevin Thomas Jr. pulled to the top spot with 10 laps remaining and charged away from Bacon – but Bacon charged back with two to go and to win the opening event of the Eastern Storm. Thomas finished second, Windom in third, Tyler Courtney in fourth and Jarret Andretti rounding out the top-five.
“The Ringoes Rocket” Ryan Godown won the 358 Modified feature event aboard the Searock Fabrications No. 26 machine. The win marked Godown’s second NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill victory – and first since 2012.
Current weekly Grandview Speedway point leader, Brett Kressley started on the pole and dominated the early portion of the event. Eighteen laps clicked off without a hitch before the first caution of the night flew on lap 18 and again on lap 21.
Godown moved to the lead on the restart and went on to score the victory. Brett Kressley finished in second, Duane Howard in third, Jeff Strunk in fourth, and Frank Cozze in the fifth position.

STRUNK, SCHUTZ AND HIRTHLER COP FIRST NASCAR FEATURE WINS OF THE SEASON AT GRANDVIEW ON K&N FILTERS NIGHT
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. JUNE 10, 2018. . . Jeff Strunk, ten-time NASCAR T.P. Trailers Modified point champion, defending NASCAR Late Model point champion Chuck Schutz and NASCAR Sportsman defending champion Brian Hirthler were in victory lane for the first time this season on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway when they each won their respective feature. The activities were sponsored by K&N Filters and broadcast by RCN-TV, Allentown.
Strunk, the fourth different Modified winner of the season, held off the late stage challenges of Mike Gular, currently second in the point standings, for his 68th career win in the 30-lap event. Strunk dedicated the win to former promoter Bruce Rogers, who passed away last year, and to Ben Moyer, a longtime supporter of racing that recently lost his battle to cancer plus Strunk also thanked all the supportive fans.
Schutz got by leader Kyle Merkel for the lead with five laps to go in the 25-lap Late Model feature to become the fourth different winner thus far.
Brian Hirthler became the season’s fifth different NASCAR Sportsman 25-lap feature winner by holding off the challenges of runner-up Ryan Beltz.
Providing all winners met the necessary requirements, they received monetary awards from T.P. Trailers, products from VP Gas. Strunk, Kyle Merkel and Hirthler were the recipients of the Dan’s Deli ½-way hoagie award.
The onset of the Modified feature saw Jared Umbenhauer outgun pole sitter Chris Esposito to take the early lead and immediately outdistanced himself from the remaining 27-car starting grid.
Steve Swinehart’s seventh lap spin between the third and fourth turn regrouped the pack, but that didn’t hamper Umbenhauer leaving Eric Biehn, Esposito, Justin Grim and Strunk, who started third, first, seventh and 13th in pursuit.
Strunk advanced to second on the 10th lap restart caused when Mike Kellner and Kevin Hirthler tangled along the backstretch.
On the 14th lap yellow brought out when Chris Gambler spun in the fourth turn, Strunk got the edge on Umbenhauer to become the new leader.
Within no time Strunk opened daylight leaving Umbenhauer, Gular, Biehn and Duane Howard to give chase.
The red had to be thrown on the 24th lap for a fiery crash that involved Umbenhauer. Strunk had just squeezed by the spinning cars of Bobby Trapper Jr. and Ron Kline in the third turn. Umbenhauer wasn’t as fortunate as he hit the two. Flipped and the car erupted into a huge fireball. He quickly exited the inferno in which firefighters had a tough time extinguishing, but they finally got it under control. Umbenhauer was uninjured, but the car was heavily damaged. On the restart Strunk chose the inside lane leaving Gular to take the outside path to challenge. Strunk wasted no time keeping the Glenn and Bonita Hyneman-owned No. 126 at the head of the others. Behind the pair Howard, current point leader Brett Kressley and Biehn jockeyed for the remaining top five positions.
Strunk never surrendered the lead and went on to return to the winner’s circle – a place he was shut out of since September 2017 when he won the Freedom 76. Finishing second for the second race in a row was Gular followed by Kressley, Howard and defending point champion Craig Von Dohren.
Umbenhauer, Kevin Hirthler, Kyle Weiss and Strunk won the heats. The consolations went to Brett Gilmore and Dan Waisempacher.
After several incidents to get the first lap of the Late Model feature in the books, pole sitter Drew Weisser set the early pace for five laps before he spun in the fourth turn relinquishing first to Kyle Merkel. The battle behind Merkel on the restart for second through fifth was comprised of Chuck Schutz, Brian Shuey, Lou Egrie and brother Sean Merkel.
K. Merkel and Schutz put on a fierce side-by-side dual for the lead as the race progressed. With Merkel sticking to the high side and Schutz down low.
Lap cars came in to play in the closing stages and with five laps to go Schutz used them to his advantage and took the lead from Merkel.
Shut out of the winner’s circle since August 5, 2017, Schutz kept this fellow competitors behind him as he went on to claim his 49th career win. Following him across the line were K. Merkel, Shuey, S. Merkel and Egrie.
Andrew Kreis and K. Hirthler diced for the lead for three laps before Hirthler took to the high side and proceeded to take control of the Sportsman feature.
While Hirthler showed the way, the action behind him was hot and heavy between Kreis, Beltz, Louden Reimert and Dylan Swinehart with Brad Arnold trying to get into the thick of the mix.
Beltz took over the second spot on the 14th lap and set sail after Hirthler, who had a sizeable lead built up.
A one-lap shoot-out was set up when B.J. Joly spun into the homestretch infield and was at a very dangerous spot. This regrouped the field.
Hirthler, absent from the winner’s circle since April 8, 2017 kept everyone behind and went on to capture his second career triumph. Chasing him across the line were Beltz, Reimert, Kreis and Arnold.
Heats were won by Kreis, Beltz and Hirthler. Kyle Lilick won the consolation race.
On Thursday, June 14th, 7:30 p.m. the traveling United States Auto Club non-wing Sprint cars will be in action in the annual Jesse Hockett Memorial featuring several top name racers from across the nation. In addition the always popular 358 Modifieds will be in action with a number of visiting talents expected to take part. The Modified race will be a NASCAR point race.
Adult admission for the USAC/358 Modified doubleheader is $30 while youngsters 6-11 pay $10. Kids under 6 are admitted free. Pit admission is $35. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m.
Longtime supporter T.P.Trailers and Truck Equipment of Limerick will be sponsoring the Saturday, June 16th tripleheader featuring the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. This would be a great opportunity to take dad out to celebrate Father’s Day and enjoy a great night of action packed stock car racing.
Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters under 12 are admitted free.

12TH ANNUAL EASTERN STORM BREWING AND HEADING TO GRANDVIEW WITH JESSE HOCKETT CLASSIC THURSDAY, JUNE 14
It's a phrase I hate to say, especially with all the rainy weather we've experienced this year. The EASTERN STORM is brewing and the thunder and lightning are heading east.
For the 12th consecutive year, the AMSOIL USAC Non-Wing Sprints EASTERN STORM will open at the Grandview Speedway on Thursday night, June 14. This wildly popular event is always a crowd pleaser as the nationally known stars rim-ride the outside boilerplate of the one-third mile Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA. The USAC Non-wing sprints will team up with the 358 NASCAR Modifieds with gates opening at 5:00 and qualifying taking the green flag at 7:30 PM.
With all the hype of this event, let's take a moment to remember Jesse Hockett, one of USAC's finest who lost his life in an electrical accident in 2010, preparing for the Eastern Storm. It was the prior year, 2009 when The "Rocket Man" swept the Twin 20's in the same night at Grandview Speedway. Hockett had one of the most exciting driving styles, a passion for the race fans and always a joy to hear when he was interviewed in victory lane. Hockett is certainly missed but he will always be remembered with the 40 lap, $6,000 to win Jesse Hockett Classic.
The RT Racing #14 USAC Sprint Car driven by Trevor Kobylarz is running the Berks County Animal Rescue League "Patriotic Paws" Logo during the 2018 season. Patriotic Paws is a program to save animals and to honor those who've bravely served our country. The team's goals are to raise awareness about the program and raise funds to support the program and the rescue league. There are two avenues to help the cause:
Kobylarz's RT Racing Team will be selling team t-shirts with an added twist. The cost for the shirt is $20 for Small through X-Large, $22 for 2X-Large, and $23 for 3X-Large. There are 3 colors available, Black, Grey, and Blue.
Second is to bring pet food to Round 1 of the Eastern Storm at Grandview Speedway. Donators will receive a complimentary special edition Patriotic Paws Trevor Kobylarz Eastern Storm Shirt. We are encouraging people to donate a 10+LB Bag. People are also encouraged to bring blankets and toys to be donated as well. You are also encourage to donate blankets and Toys as well. The proceeds will go to supporting the Rescue League.
USAC will bring their absolute best to Grandview Speedway on Thursday, June 14 to include the People's Champion Dave Darland of Lincoln, IN, Tyler "Sunshine" Courtney from Indianapolis, IN, "The Mad Man" Robert Ballou of Rocklin, CA, Isaac Chapple from Willow Branch, IN, Justin Grant of Ione, CA and Brady Bacon of Broken Arrow, OK . Bacon is the defending winner of the Jesse Hockett Classic "on the hill".
In the 358 Modifieds, the locals always put on a show in chase of the $3,000 win in the 30 lap feature. Craig VonDohren, Brett Kressley, Jeff Strunk, Ryan Godown and Rick Laubach are some of the expected entries. Fifth in the feature will pay $1,000 and $300 is offered just to take the green flag. This event will be a NASCAR point race.
General Admission ticket pricing for Thursday, June 14 is $30 for Adults, Children 6-11 are $10 and Kids 5 & under are FREE! Pit Admission pricing is $35.
Advance tickets are on sale now and may be ordered by calling 443-513-4456. Please provide your name and the number of tickets requested. Tickets may be picked up and paid for on race night after 3:30 PM. Advance ticket holders may enter the grandstands at 4:30 PM, one-half hour prior to the sale of General Admission tickets.
The Pioneer Pole Buildings Mobile Sales Unit will be on display in the mid-way along with all of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series mainstay promotions including the Low Down & Dirty Radio Show pre-race Meet and Greet, pit area tours, the Inside/Out Experience - where fans can watch hot laps from the infield, Joe 'The Pizza Dude' offering up free pizzas to the rowdiest fans, give-a-ways, and appearances by Miss Thunder on the Hill.
Grandstand Gates open at 5:00 PM and Racing starts at 7:30 PM
