WINDOM FIRST TO REPEAT IN USAC SPRINT WIN AT TRI-CITY

Granite City, Illinois (May 17, 2019).........In a season with so much parity, the first winner of 2019 became the first repeat winner of the season as Chris Windom outdueled Carson Short in a wild Brandt "River Town Showdown" USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car feature Friday night at Tri-City Speedway.
In a race of attrition and heart-stopping sliders, Windom and Short were the class of the field in the end with each going after the other's jugular in a see-saw stretch for much of the race that witnessed the pair swap the lead numerous times until Windom, the 2017 series champ, emerged with his 23rd career USAC National Sprint Car victory, tying him for 22nd all-time with the great A.J. Foyt and Roger McCluskey.
The Canton, Ill. native started fifth for the start of 30-lap main event, while up front, Chase Stockon whipped around the outside of pole sitter Chad Boespflug to take the top spot on the opening lap, instantly breaking out to a five car length advantage.
Shortly thereafter, on the second lap, Justin Grant found himself spinning backwards at the exit of turn two. Mitch Wissmiller couldn't avoid the carnage, plowing into the stopped Grant, which sent both drivers and cars to the sideline for the remainder of the night.
On the lap two restart, Kevin Thomas, Jr. drover around Boespflug for second, bringing Tyler Courtney, Short and a slew of others along with him. Thomas dove inside Stockon in turn three for first on the sixth lap, but Stockon fought back on the bottom off turn four, beating Stockon by a half car length at the stripe. Meanwhile, Short and Windom were approaching the party, with Windom eventually getting Short for second on the 10th lap with a turn three slider.
Jason McDougal dropped a driveshaft in turn three one lap later to bring out the caution, erasing the half-straightaway lead Thomas had constructed.
hoturn two to recapture the point and keep Windom at bay for the meantime. Thomas fended off Windom's slider in turn one on lap 12, but that allowed Short stick his nose in and capitalize on the back straightaway, going from third to first in an instant past both Windom and Thomas, who whiffed the outside wall exiting turn four as Short took over the lead and Windom moved past Thomas.
At the midway point, Windom answered by running downhill off turn four to surge past Short heading into turn one, but it would be all for naught as fifth-running Brady Bacon flipped in turn four to necessitate a red flag. Incredibly, the two-time series champ restarted and drove all the way back to a ninth-place finish.
That moved Short back into the lead, with a new engine loaded in the chamber after experiencing engine troubles following a fifth place finish the weekend before. Short cut off any attempt for a Windom slider by taking a lower line into turn one on the restart, allowing Short to gain some space on Windom.
Windom reeled Short in again and slid past again in turn three, forcing Short to counter back to the lead off turn four. Windom kept the pressure applied and two raced across the line on lap 20 side-by-side. Windom kept digging and the relentless assault paid off finally on lap 21 with a divebomb into turn three that saw him emerge with the lead. Short tried once more a lap later, sliding in front of Windom in turn three on the 22nd lap, but a slowing Korey Weyant put a cease-fire on the entertaining battle momentarily with a yellow flag.
Windom cut through the middle on the following restart, keeping his Goacher Racing/NOS Energy Drink - Parallax Power Supply - Jonathan Byrd's/DRC/Claxton Mopar up top until yet another yellow stopped the event when fourth-running Courtney, who had won the Midget feature earlier in the night, biked and pirouetted against the outside turn four wall, putting out for the remainder of the race and giving him a finish of 14th.
On the final restart, on lap 24, Windom ignited with an excellent restart, at least momentarily, as Short hung with Windom just a couple lengths back. Short continued in the role of pursuant during the final laps, banging hard off the turn four cushion on the 26th lap, but unable to make up any substantial ground on Windom who carried on to a 1.832 second victory over Short, Thomas, point leader C.J. Leary and Isaac Chapple.
"I couldn't get to the lead there, and when I did, the caution came out and set us back," Windom recalled. "I knew, for the entire race, we had a car to win this race. We didn't get a very good start and had to get back through the field. (Crew Chief) Derek Claxton, (Car Owner) Jason Goacher, john and these guys, gave me a great racecar to get back to the front like we needed to. It was a hell of a battle with Carson and KT."

COURTNEY CHALKS UP HISTORY IN TRI-CITY MIDGET WIN

Granite City, Illinois (May 17, 2019).........Tyler Courtney's early-season USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship prowess has been paramount, and with his fourth win in the first six races of the season, he became the first driver to ever accomplish the feat following his victory in Friday night's Brandt "River Town Showdown" opener at Tri-City Speedway.
Additionally, Courtney backed up his USAC Sprint Car win from a year ago by winning his first USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship feature at the 3/8-mile dirt oval in Granite City, Ill. By doing so, the Indianapolis, Ind. driver became just the third driver to win in both divisions at Tri-City, joining Jack Hewitt and Josh Wise.
Courtney ran down reigning series champion Logan Seavey entering lapped traffic with nine laps remaining to win the ninth race of his USAC Midget career in his Clauson-Marshall Racing/NOS Energy Drink/Spike/Stanton SR-11x, tying himself with Billy Boat, Tony Elliott and Chuck Gurney for 74th all-time.
Courtney opened up the night by setting Fatheadz Eyewear Fast Qualifying time in both the sprint car and midget divisions, putting him back on the outside of row three for the start of the 30-lap midget main event. Courtney began a methodical charge toward the front while Kevin Thomas, Jr. worked the bottom by Justin Grant to grab the early lead with Brady Bacon slicing his way to slot into second right behind Thomas before a caution for Tanner Carrick's flat left rear tire brought a halt to the action on lap four.
On the ensuing restart, Bacon stuck like glue to the bottom to rip by Thomas for the lead and appeared to be in command until lap nine when he clipped the turn three infield tractor tire, upsetting the front end, which forced him off the pace and into the work area for adjustments under the yellow. He returned, but only managed a 16th in his first race back with FMR after the combo competed full-time on the USAC trail over the past three seasons.
Inheriting the lead was Seavey who slipped away as Thomas and Justin Grant swapped sliders back-and-forth, to and fro, until Grant emerged with the runner-up spot on lap 12. Courtney got by Thomas a lap later and began his pursuit of Grant as they took part in a three-car breakaway led by race leader Seavey.
On the 19th lap, as the front runners approached lapped traffic, Courtney slid Grant in turn three to take second, with now only Seavey left in his sight. The lappers cooperated, hanging on the low line, while Seavey and Courtney ringed the top. Courtney was inching closer each corner, but, on lap 22, was like a rocket shooting out of a Coke bottle, springing forward with a burst that slid him right past Seavey in turn three.
"You got to take it when you can get it," Courtney said of the pass. "I didn't know if it was quite going to get there because you could get a run there in (turns) three and four, but luckily it stuck. Then, you can kind of do your own race after that."
And that's exactly what Courtney did. From there, Courtney immediately pulled away, building a three-quarters of a straightaway advantage as he ripped the top to a victory margin just shy of three seconds over Seavey, Grant, Zeb Wise and Chad Boat.

Terry McCarl Wins A Thriller With The ASCS Warrior Region At U.S. 36 Raceway
Bryan Hulbert - OSBORN, Mo. (May 17, 2019) In a battle that came down to the closing laps, Terry McCarl rolled the Mondak Portables No. 4 into Victory Lane with the Racinboys.com ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps at U.S. 36 Raceway on Friday night.
Trailing Jack Dover the first six laps, the Nebraska shoe tangled with the cushion to bring his night to an early close. Grabbing the point on the restart, McCarl led until Lap 13 when Paul Nienhiser took over the top spot.
Going red for Cody Ledger, who was unharmed after getting upside down, Nienhiser was not able to hold off McCarl at the drop of the green. Leading until Lap 19, Paul was determined to make Terry earn it with the pass for the lead on Lap 20 answered the following revolution with McCarl able to hold the point the final four laps.
Paul Nienhiser in second was joined by Seth Bergman who came from seventh to complete the night's podium. Jonathan Cornell and Jay Russell made up the top five.
Making up four spots, Nicholas Howard was sixth with Mitchell Moore seventh. Mason Daniel eighth was followed to the line by Ayrton Gennetten who raced up from 15th. Ben Brown completed the top ten.
With Mother Nature stepping in with calls for severe weather on Saturday, May 18, events at Heartland Motorsports Park have been canceled. The next outing for the Racinboys.com ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps is Memorial Day Weekend at Lake Ozark Speedway with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network on May 25 and 26.

"All the criticism I've been hearing lately and all the bullshit, I was just tired of listening too it," stated Hafertepe entered the weekend ninth in tour standings. "Hats off to the race track these guys provided for us. Right around the lip like that, you can't get much more fun than that in a Sprint Car for 25-laps."
Locked into Saturday's A-Feature, Hafertepe can breathe easier knowing his day will be light. On what that means for Sam in terms of being able to watch and figure out what to do with the car, he explained, "We don't have to do a whole lot. That's a really good Racecar. We laid down a fast time in Hot Laps, good in our Heat Race and pretty dominant in our Qualifier. In the Feature, I just stayed up top. I had to pass some lapped cars sliding through the middle of one a two, but I don't know where else my car could have gone, but I just have to say hats off to my guys. It's been a struggle with all the rainouts; it gets you thinking about you're only as good as your last race, and our last race we didn't even make the show so to come out tonight and have my guys stick behind me through trying times, It really shows what this team is all about."
Challenged briefly by Ryan Ruhl on the first start, the driver of the No. 16 got another shot as the red lights came on for a multi-car crash through the fourth turn. Not able to get the jump on the Heidbreder No. 15h, Hafertepe was still able to hold point after a Lap 2 caution, eventually opening his lead by 5.608 seconds, despite being in traffic by Lap 9. Yellow on Lap 19 for Shawn Dancer whose left year shredded down the front straightaway, the race slowed one final time on Lap 21 for John Carney II who kept from going over after contact with Matt Covington.
With lapped cars in the mix for the final restart, Hafertepe was able to run away by 4.009 seconds at the checkered flag. With Phil Gressman breathing down his neck off the final turn, Ryan Ruhl was able to hold off the wily veteran with Matt Covington fourth. Coming from ninth, Blake Hahn rounded out the top five.
Involved in the opening lap red flag, Jared Horstman charged back through the field for a sixth-place finish. Harli White in seventh was trailed by Scott Bogucki with Dylan Westbrook advancing 12 spots for the night's Hard Charger honors. Dustin Daggett rounded out the top ten.
With a field of 41 drivers on hand, the night's run of events broke down into five Heat Races going to Ryan Ruhl, John Carney II, Sam Hafertepe, Jr., Brett Mann, and Danny Sams III. Qualifier wins were earned by Ryan Ruhl, Sam Hafertepe, Jr., and Scott Bogucki. A pair of B-Features were topped by Jared Horstman and Jordon Mallett. The only provisional used was by Tucker Doughty.
The Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network at the Great Lakes Super Sprints will go at it again on Saturday, May 18, 2019, with the second round of competition at I-96 Speedway going green at 8:00 P.M. (ET).

ATTICA, Ohio - It was patented Jac Haudenschild. The National Hall of Fame inductee from Wooster, Ohio, utilized Attica Raceway Park's extreme high line to pass Joey Saldana coming to the white flag of the 410 sprint feature Friday and went on to score his third career victory at the track on American Powersports/AmeriGas Night.
The victory was worth $4,000 for Haudenschild on an All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) Presented by the Baumann Auto Group point night.
Not to be outdone, the Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Models saw a tremendous battle between Wooster, Ohio's Doug Drown and McClure, Ohio's Rusty Schlenk - who ironically came into the night tied with 25 career Attica wins to sit atop the division all-time victory mark. The duo raced side by side, slicing through lapped traffic the final five laps with Drown prevailing for his second win of the year and the 26th of his career at Attica on an Attica/Wayne County Speedway Challenge Series point night.
To finish out the exciting night, Fremont, Ohio's John Ivy used the low groove to get around race-long leader Jimmy McGrath with just four laps to go to score his second Fremont Fence 305 Sprint feature win and the $1,000 Gressman Powersports check. It was Ivy's 17th career 305 victory at Attica putting him seventh on the division's all-time victory list. It was also a valuable point night for Ivy in the chase for the KS Sales & Service AFCS Presented by Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales title.
Haudenschild grabbed the early lead of the Callie's Performance Products 410 Sprint A-main, battling early with Buddy Kofoid who took the point on lap six. Kofoid seemed to have things in hand as Craig Mintz and Saldana battled with Haudenschild. Kofoid suffered some sort of issue with eight laps to go, dropping to fourth as Saldana inherited the lead over Mintz and Haudenschild right before the caution flew. Saldana, Mintz and Haudenschild battled for the lead with "The Wild Child" driving into second with four laps to go and blasted around Saldana exiting turn four coming to the white flag and driving to the close win.
"Joey and Craig and Buddy got me pretty good there at the start...I was searching around a little bit because when you start on the front row I didn't really know where to run for sure. I had to get up on the cushion and go there at the end. Zach (Ames) had the car pretty good. We are a little loose in the heat but Zach worked on it and had the car really good any where on the track," said Haudenschild beside his Finzer Farms/Ron Jacobs Trucking/Performance Foot & Ankle/Triple X Racing backed #3.
Pole sitter Mike Bores jumped to the early lead of the 25 lap late model feature but faced constant pressure from Devin Shiels. Meanwhile eighth starter Drown worked his way to third by lap seven and after a great few lap battle with Shiels moved into second and drove around Bores on lap 13 to take the lead. Meanwhile Schlenk, who started 11th, worked his way into third with nine laps remaining and took second from Bores a lap later. When the five to go signal was given Drown and Schlenk were mired in heavy lapped traffic as the pair raced door to door trying to maneuver around lapped cars. As they crossed the white flag they were side by side with lapped cars all around. Drown would hold off Schlenk for the win.
"That's what everybody wants to see...Rusty and myself battling like it's been for many many times here. That's why I wasn't getting off the top. I knew if anyone was going to run up there and be able to peddle the car he would be the one. The lapped cars were kind of my blockers. I have to thank Ely Road Reel, BAR Farms, 89 Homes, Wooster Blass, Chubb Frank Racing for giving us this machine, Cody for building the car and working on it every week, my wife for her support, my dad, my uncle, Steve or tire guy and Hoosier Racing Tire, AccuForce and everyone who helps out on this car," Drown said.
McGrath led the first 21 of the 25 lap 305 feature while seventh starter Ivy steadily moved his way tot he front, taking second on lap 10. A red for last week's winner Kyle Capodice who tipped over with eight laps to go put Ivy right on McGrath's rear bumper. McGrath got a great restart and looked like he might be on his way to his first career sprint win, but the veteran Ivy methodically ate away at the lead and drove off the bottom of turn four on lap 22 to take the lead and drove to the win.
"I'm glad we had that red flag there...I was sucking wind pretty bad," said Ivy who also drove in the 410 sprint feature. "This thing wouldn't take off real good on the restart. I just tried to bide my time and settle down and make sure I made my right move. I have to thank all my guys. I made it hard on them tonight going back and forth to the 410 car and they do it all the time for me," said Ivy beside his L&R Farms/C&N Supply/Rohr Lawncare/Sonny's Welding & Machine/Welty Financial Services/Atkinson Farms/Story Equipment backed #77i
Haudenschild and Kofoid brought the field to green for the 25 lap 410 sprint feature but before a lap could be completed Caleb Griffith stopped necessitating a complete restart. When the green flew again Haudenschild gained the advantage over Kofoid, Chris Andrews, Ivy, Mintz, Saldana, Tony Stewart and DJ Foos. Kofoid continued to pressure Haudenschild while Mintz drove into third. Kofoid took the lead on lap six with a slider in turn one. Kofoid began to pull away slightly as Haudenschild had his hands full with Mintz, Saldana, Andrews, Ivy, Stewart and Greg Wilson who had charged from 18th.
Kofoid encountered lapped traffic by lap 11 with Haudenschild, Mintz and Saldana battling for second with Mintz taking the spot on lap 14. Saldana slipped by Haudenschild for third on lap 17 as heavy lapped traffic appeared. With 10 laps to go Kofoid was still in command while Saldana got around Mintz for second. Something appeared to happen to Kofoid in turn four with eight laps to go as he slowed dramatically, handing the lead to Saldana as Mintz and Haudenschild also got around the California driver.
Other than the initial start, the feature's only caution flew for a Skylar Gee spin with seven laps to go. On the restart Mintz pressured Saldana with Haudenschild joining the fun a lap later. Haudenschild drove around Mintz on lap 26 and quickly close don Saldana. Haudenschild rocked off the high side of turn four coming to the white flag and went on to take the win over Saldana, Kofoid, Mintz and Andrews.
"We had a really really good car. I had a terrible start and fell back and I just kept with it and kept with it. The top wasn't cleaned off early and right there at the end I saw the top cleaned and I was like 'oh shit Haud.' If anyone's going to try it he's going to and look, it paid off and he won. If they don't have the yellow I think we win the race. We had a car good enough because we could move through traffic really really good and they couldn't get through traffic as good as me. At the end...that's called experience..Haud knows what to do. You only have one shot and it worked and I lost," said Saldana.
Bores and Shiels brought the field to green for the 25 lap late model feature with Bores, who already has a win this season, holding off Shiels for the lead with Larry Bellman, Matt Irey and Drown locked in a torrid battle for third.A quick caution on lap four saw the running order Bores, Shiels, Irey, Drown, Bellman, last week's winner Ryan Missler, Steve Kester and Schlenk.Bores began to pull away when the green came back out while Shiels was trying to fend off Drown and Irey. Drown took the runner-up position on lap 10 and quickly closed on Bores.
Bores was glued to the bottom and Drown used the high line to take the lead on lap 13 but Bores and Shiels didn't give up, challenging over the next couple of laps. Meanwhile Schlenk had moved into fourth. With nine laps to go it was a great four car battle up front with Drown leading Bores, Shiels and Schlenk. With five laps to go a lapped car held up Drown and Schlenk took the lead but a circuit later Drown regained the top spot. Drown and Schlenk raced side by side in traffic the remaining four laps with Drown getting the narrow win over Schlenk, Shiels, Bores and Missler.
McGrath and Shawn Valenti brought the field to green for the 25 lap 305 sprint A-main with McGrath getting the top spot over Valenti, Matt Lucius, Dustin Rall, Tyler Street, Ivy and Luke Griffith. McGrath and Valenti raced side by side over the next hand full of laps before McGrath started to pull away. Meanwhile Lucius, Rall, Street and Ivy were battling hard for third when the caution flew on lap nine. On the restart Ivy took second and started to close on McGrath.
Last week's winner Kyle Capodice and Rall tangled with eight laps to go. When the green flew McGrath got an excellent restart and pulled away slightly from Ivy with Valenti, Street, Bobby Clark, Lucius, Paul Weaver, Griffith and Jamie Miller giving chase. McGrath and Ivy ran side by side over the next few laps until Ivy utilized the bottom groove to take the lead on lap 22. Ivy drove to the win over McGrath, Valenti, Street and Weaver.
The Ollie's Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions Presented by Mobile 1 invade Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 24 on Foster Auto Body/Steinle Chevrolet-Buick in Clyde/Adkins Group Night. The UMP late models and 305 sprints are also in competition. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing under way at 7:45 p.m.

MECHANICSBURG, PA – May 17, 2019 – A simple point of the finger by Jason Sides gave David Gravel the assistance he needed to go on and win his third World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series race this season.
Gravel lost the lead to Daryn Pittman at the start of the 25-lap Williams Grove Speedway Feature and 10 laps later lost second to Pennsylvanian Danny Dietrich. It looked like Gravel may have to settle for his second third-place finish in-a-row, but everything changed with 13 laps to go.
Dietrich and Gravel were nose to tail heading down the front stretch with the lap car of Sides in front of them.
“Going into (turn) one, Sides pointed low and I think Dietrich thought he pointed low like he was going to go low and Dietrich was going to go high, but he actually pointed low to pass him down low,” Gravel said. “Dietrich followed him in the corner, and I went low. So, I’m glad it worked out for me and not for him.”
That move allowed Gravel to slide back into second-place, while Dietrich fell several car lengths behind him after having to lift out of the throttle due to Sides blocking his line. Dietrich cited getting caught behind Sides was the one mistake that kept him from a potential win Friday night.
“That was the race I think for me,” Dietrich said.
With Dietrich far behind, Gravel had breathing room to try and run Pittman back down. And he didn’t waste any time. Two laps after passing Dietrich, he was on Pittman’s bumper. Gravel stuck to the low line most of the race, while Pittman stayed high. But with 12 laps to go, the two swapped lanes in turns three and four. The advantage went to Gravel.
On Pittman’s tail, he dove underneath the No. 83 Roth Motorsports car in turn one and charged his way back to the lead.
After the disappointment of losing a potential win at Lincoln Speedway Wednesday night, Gravel was not going to let another win slip through his fingers.
He prepared himself for the Feature throughout the night, studying how his car worked in different lanes. While he won his Drydene Heat race and the DIRTVision Fast Pass Dash by riding the high line, he tested the bottom during the Dash.
“I was just trying it (different lines) out all night,” Gravel said. “Luckily things worked out the way they did, and I found something better than they did.”
Once he cleared Pittman and began to pull away with the lead, Dietrich wasn’t letting him out of his sight. The blue No. 48 also got by Pittman and made his own charge for the lead. At times a blanket could be thrown over the top three.
Dietrich continued to run the high side, while Gravel stayed low. At times he would close on the No. 41 Jason Johnson Racing car, but Gravel could always out power him out of the turn, leading to his 42nd career World of Outlaws victory – and fifth Series win at Williams Grove Speedway.
The ability of the No. 41 car to drive hard through the turn without any issues has Pittman scratching his head on how he can get his car to do the same.
“We didn’t get from the center off very good,” Pittman said. “My car would drop too far and not drive down the straightaway. I think the 41 drivers really hard, a lot harder than mine and we’ve got to figure out why that is. I just start spinning way too easy.”
Gravel and his new Jason Johnson Racing team have found the level of consistency they were hoping to find at the start of the year. He’s finished in the top-five in the last four races – three of those finishes being on the podium. And with three wins now, Gravel is the winningest driver, so far, this season.
“Man, we’re trying all sorts of stuff,” Gravel said. “Every night I don’t think we run the same bar combination. Philip (Dietz, JJR crew chief) is always working, trying to make the car better. It works nine times out of 10. Hopefully we jot down the things that work really well and continue to grow as a team and keep winning races.”
His Williams Grove win has propelled the Watertown, Conn.-native to be tied for third in the Series’ points standings with Pittman – 64 points behind leader Donny Schatz, who only has a two-point lead over Brad Sweet.
With three wins in the early stage of the season, the championship isn’t on Gravel’s mind, yet. He’s focused on staying consistent and winning races.
“The past couple of races have been really good,” Gravel said. “We’re qualifying well consistently now, which is a huge part of this. If we keep that up good things will happen. Where we end up in the points is where we end up. I just want to keep winning races and try to be as consistent as we can.”
A simple point of the finger to the sky in Victory Lane Friday night made that clear.

TIM BUCKWALTER DOING DOUBLE DUTY AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT
BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 16, 2019 . . . When the tripleheader auto racing action gets the green flag this Saturday night at Grandview Speedway local talent Tim Buckwalter will be doing double duty as he races in the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds and the Rapid Tire United States Auto Club East Coast Wingless Sprint Cars.
The Douglassville, PA racing talent has been a winner at Grandview in the NASCAR Modifieds and, in addition, has been a two time champion at Kutztown’s Action Track USA and a champion with the American Racing Drivers Club.
The veteran racer will be wheeling a sprinter owned by Norristown’s Bill Gallagher and wrenched by multi-time United Racing Club champion Curt Michael. “It’s a good car. One of the best 360 Sprint cars in the area. It is a big opportunity to work with Curt,” said Buckwalter. “I’m excited to see how we do.”
This will be a first time appearance for the USAC East Coast Sprints at Grandview and a stellar field of racers is expected.
Buckwalter will also be going up against some outstanding driving talents in the Modifieds, something he is familiar with as he is a Saturday night regular. Ten time NASCAR track champion Craig Von Dohren is the current point leader and already has two feature wins to his credit this season.
In addition to the Sprints and Modifieds fans will be treated to the exciting action of the T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman stock cars.
A full series of qualifying race events will lead up to the feature events in each of the three divisions. Racing has a 7:30 p.m. starting time.
The very popular Low Down & Dirty Meet and Greet, 5 P.M. at the main grandstand entrance, will feature cars and drivers that will be racing later in the evening. Modified racer Ryan Lilick and Sportsman talent Kyle Lilick will be meeting fans and will have their new t-shirts available for sale. In addition two of the top Sprint racing talents, Steven Drevicki and Eddie Strada, will be meeting fans.
Adult admission is $20, youngsters 6 through 11 pay just $5 and kids under 6 are admitted free. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m.
And on Sunday, May 19th at 1 p.m. Outlaw Enduro and Blast from the Past Vintage Racers. Big Car Enduro (75-laps), Small Car Enduro (75-laps), Junkyard Car Race (50-laps), Savage 61 Roadrunners (20-lap feature plus qualifying), Vintage Cars (2-20-lap features), Mechanics Race (20-laps), Outlaw 4X4 Truck Series (Heats and Features on Obstacle Course).
