SPECTACULAR IRONMAN: Kyle Larson Reigns At I-55 To Claim Ironman Title
The 55-lap barn burner at I-55 saw multiple lead changes and drivers giving their all
PEVELY, MO – Aug. 8, 2020 – Rain was minutes away. The laps still showed five to go. Kyle Larson led with a hungry and determined Sheldon Haudenschild pushing his car to its limits to steal the lead and claim another Ironman title at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.
Larson already had a hard-enough time wrestling his own car around the fast 1/3-mile track. The cushion was unforgiving if not treated with care and 55 laps gave no pleasure to tired arms. He’s made winning look easy in 2020, but to win the Ironman 55 he had to prove his worthiness of the title.
Holding on with the might and skill of a seasoned driver every time his right rear tire and the cushion disagreed on space, Larson committed to the high line of the track to make the most speed in the closing laps. At the same time, Haudenschild worked any line he could to gain an advantage on the Finley Farms #57.
His effort couldn’t match Larson’s, though. The Elk Grove, CA driver brought the crowd to their feet and opened a hole in the sky by winning his first Ironman 55 title Saturday night with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and the $20,000 top prize.
“That was hard work,” said Larson, who looked to have just finished running a marathon. “A wild racetrack. I’m normally pretty calm after racing but my heart rate is still going. That was wild. You can’t say enough about everyone who helps out on this team. I tore up a car at Huset’s (Speedway) last week and these guys worked their asses off all week to get it ready.”
The Silva Motorsports crew put together a brand-new car for Larson after he wrecked the one he has dominated the year with at Huset’s. His first race in the new car was during the Friday night prelude to the Ironman and there appeared to be some bugs to still work out as Larson finished sixth – he hadn’t finished worse than second in his last five starts with the Series.
Those bugs only lasted a night as Larson and his team returned to form when the Ironman title was on the line. He qualified third, won his Drydene Heat Race and then dominated the DIRTVision Fast Pass Dash.
However, the early events were baby steps compared to the grueling and spellbinding marathon he had to run in the 55-lap Feature.
Larson led the first four laps of the Feature but bicycled off the cushion in Turn 4 and allowed second-place Jacob Allen to close on him. Allen then dove underneath Larson entering Turn 3 and slid in front of him to officially take the lead on Lap 5.
Allen said earlier in the day he needed to eat his Wheaties to be able to hang on for 55 laps around the fast-tacky track. He proved he did by initially pulling away from Larson after taking the lead. However, Larson closed back in on the Drydene #1A in traffic. Allen continued to prove his strength by holding off attacks by Larson lap after lap.
While they battled, Shane Stewart, in third, closed in. With 39 laps still to go, Stewart launched his Indy Race Parts #71 under both Larson and Allen in Turn 1 and sped down the backstretch with the lead.
For the next 34 laps, Stewart – the 2015 Ironman – held command out front. Behind him, Allen, Larson, Haudenschild and two-time Ironman champion Rico Abreu brawled for second. Larson nearly saw his night come to an end while battling with Abreu for second.
Abreu threw his car underneath Larson entering Turn 1, feeding Larson his right rear and sending the white #57 up the track and into the cushion. Larson’s rear end bounced off the cushion, sending his car sideways and facing the inside wall. He perfected a brilliant save and only lost one position to Haudenschild.
“I was so tight,” Larson said. “I felt good early out in clean air. The cushion was getting bigger and I was getting tighter. Jacob (Allen) got by. I was just praying the track would come to us. Wasn’t quite sure. I felt like at times I’m good. Then I’d get closer to people and I’d get really tight. It made it easy to make mistakes. Even when I wasn’t tight. The track did finally come to us.”
Soon after, a caution came out for Hunter Schuerenburg stopping on track. When the race resumed, Abreu jumped the cushion in Turn 4, bouncing around like a bucking bull. That allowed Haudenschild and Larson get by.
With 20 laps to go, the track conformed to Larson’s liking. He was able to put his car back on the cushion and rip the top. That led him back by Haudenschild for second and then to Stewart’s pumper with 10 laps to go.
Charging down the front stretch with a head of steam, Larson launched underneath Stewart going into Turn 1 and slid in front of him to reclaim the lead on the exit of Turn 2. Haudenschild also made his way by Stewart four laps later and then aimed to hunt down Larson.
With rain minutes away, the laps still showing five to go and Larson out front with a hungry and determined Haudenschild behind him, the conclusion to the Ironman left everyone at the edge of their seat.
Larson’s Ironman win is his 13th career World of Outlaws victory – tying him with Brooke Tatnell and Terry McCarl for 34th on the all-time wins list – and his fifth win of the year – second at I-55 this year.
Haudenschild’s runner-up finish concluded a solid weekend for the Wooster, OH driver and his Stenhouse Jr.-Marshall Racing as they won Friday night and gained points in the championship battle. Haudenschild is fifth in points – 80 points back from leader Brad Sweet.
“We came here to win and gave our best effort,” Haudenschild said. “Congratulations to Larson and his team. They’ve been really good. So has my team. Hats off to my guys, Nickolas. Ripper and Drew. They’ve been busting their ass and working hard to win these races. We wanted to get this NOS Energy Drink #17 in the winner’s circle, but we’ll take a second.”
Stewart, who had to settle for third, said he feels like he gave the race away.
“My car was so good,” said Stewart, of Bixby, OK. “I knew the track was going to change a little bit, but that cushion was so gnarly. I did hit it wrong a few times. It wasn’t from a lack of effort from my guys. We work so hard. We don’t race full-time but every time we show up, we’re competitive.”
Points leader and reigning champion Brad Sweet finished 10th, allowing the four drivers behind him in points to close in. Ten-time Series champion Donny Schatz and Logan Schuchart are now tied for second – 20 points behind Sweet.
For Larson, points are of no concern. He's happy collecting trophies and celebrating with confetti and the occasional rain shower in Victory Lane.

Kerry Madsen Dominates For First Career Knoxville 360 Nationals Triumph
Bryan Hulbert – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (August 8, 2020) Leading start to finish on Saturday night, Australia's Kerry Madsen pocked $15,000 and etched his name into history with his first career victory in the 30th annual My Place Hotels 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank.

Madsen's first win in 360cid competition at the famed half-mile, the triumph is his first with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, making him the 155th winner in series history.
"Cody just gave me a fantastic racecar. It was a pleasure to drive," stated Madsen.
"Pretty smooth, just a couple minor mistakes, but it seemed like everywhere we went, it would respond, so it was a lot of fun to drive. I just want to thank Tod Quiring and Big Game Motorsports so much. We've been knocking on the door so much this year and couldn't get it over the edge, so it's great to get it for these guys."
Battling with Joey Saldana on the initial start, a red for Matt Juhl brought the field back to a complete restart. Bolting to the lead on the restart, the field was under caution on Lap 3 as Lynton Jeffrey slowed.
Into the first and second turns with Shane Golobic running next to the No. 2 for a moment, Madsen was able to power away off the cushion. Finding slower traffic as the race progressed to Lap 10, the slower cars did little to slow Madsen, while the race for second through fifth saw positions changing hands. On the move from seventh, Brian Brown worked the show position until Lap 19. Getting by Golobic off the second turn, the No. 17 was stalked by Cory Eliason, who has wheeled the Rudeen Racing No. 26 from 15th to fourth.
Making up time on Madsen as the race moved into the closing laps, the runner-up spot looked like the position Brian Brown would have to settle for, but as Madsen steered to the checkered flag, a massive cloud of smoke billowed out of the FVP/Casey's General Stores No. 21, allowing Shane Golobic to race by for second. Cory Eliason's 12 position gain to third earned him the title of Hard Charger. Brock Zearfoss made it to fourth and won an extra $200 as the 2020 Knoxville 360 Nationals JetCo Rookie of the Year. Austin McCarl posted his best career finish in fifth.
Joey Saldana ended up sixth with Tim Shaffer in seventh. Tearing through the field from 20th, Aaron Reutzel made it to eighth. Dominic Scelzi crossed ninth with Carson McCarl completing the top-ten.
Lynton Jeffrey earned the best appearing car, earning an extra $360 from GDRD. The highest finishing Knoxville Regular was Austin McCarl. He netted $1,000 from the Knoxville 360 Booster Club.
A field of 96 drivers took part in the 30th annual My Place Hotels 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank from 23 States and three countries (USA, Can., Aust.). Dropping into the Alphabet on Saturday night, the E-Feature went to Lance Norick with Jamie Ball topping the D-Feature. Harli White topped the C-Feature with Matt Juhl winning the B-Feature.
The Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network races next at the Sage Fruit Ultimate Challenge presented by Searsboro Telephone Co. at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa on Sunday, August 9. Gates open at 3:00 P.M. for fans to begin pulling into the infield. Grandstand open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. and Racing at 7:30 P.M. (C.T.).

FREMONT, Ohio – In racing sometimes you need to go back to the basics and that’s what Cole Duncan and his 410 sprint team did at Fremont Speedway Saturday, Aug. 8 on O’Reilly Auto Parts Night. Duncan, who started 12th in the 30-lap A-main, didn’t qualify well, went backwards in his heat and the crew decided to make changes for the feature and it paid off as he threw a slide job on Zeb Wise in the last two corners on the last lap to score his second win of the year at “The Track That Action Built.”
Duncan moved the wing back with about seven laps to go and found something on the high side of turn two that no one else could make work.
“Sometimes that line bites you and I’ve been bit by it a couple of times. We were having such a piss poor night. Bad qualifying effort but still put ourselves in a decent position but a terrible heat race but these guys never gave up. We went back to our old school ways and what we know works here…damn that was fun,” said Duncan in the Engine Pro Victory Lane.
“It was a delicate thing…if I show him my nose too early in three and four it’s over because he moves down and blocks that advance. I saw the white flag and I had one more shot. I wanted to sail it off in there hard enough to make sure I didn’t crash him…that’s not my style. I knew there was just a little bit of cushion left off turn four…just enough to catch you. I seen him cross back under me and it was just a drag race. Whatever we did back in the pits between the heat race and the feature we had just that much more traction and that was the race,” added Duncan beside his Ohio Heating; Helms Construction; Motorcity Auto Transport; Gressman Powersports; FK Indy; Wolf Composites backed #22.
Cap Henry also had a miserable night going but rallied to charge from 18th to a seventh place finish to maintain his point lead in the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series Presented by the Baumann Auto Group. Chad Kemenah was poised to take the point lead, leading the first 10 laps before a flat right rear put him on the tail where he drove up to an 11th place finish to stay within striking distance of Henry.
Fletcher, Ohio’s Dallas Hewitt fought off several challenges from Matt Westfall to claim his second Fremont Speedway Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series win of the season.
“I heard engine noise but I didn’t know where to go. Under that last yellow I looked at the board and saw Matt was there. A couple of years ago it was me and him on the last lap and I was like here we go again, don’t mess up. I really don’t like to run the bottom but I made it work some how,” said Hewitt beside his Keen’s Auto Body Sales, Carts & Parts, Loan Star Pawn Shop backed machine..
Fremont’s Paul Weaver held off a late race charge from Kyle Capodice to score his fourth win of the season in the Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints. It was his 55th career win at Fremont Speedway moving him to seventh on the track’s all-time win list. He also has seven total wins in 2020 combined with the three he has recorded at Attica Raceway Park.
“That was one of the most fun races I’ve run in awhile. My tire started to go away there at the end,” said Weaver beside his B&B Drain Services, Hampshire Racing Engines, M & L Excavating backed #1W.
Cory McCaughey and Kent Brewer put on a driving clinic in the Burmeister Trophy Dirt Trucks, raced side by side throughout the 20 lap feature before McCaughey pulled away for his third win of the season.
“I appreciate Kent. That was really fun. Side by side…he’s better off of two and I’m better off four. I’m jacked right now. I lost a good friend of mine about a year ago….Steve…this one is for him,” said McCaughey beside his KC Engineering; Ron Miller Race Cars, DAS Motors backed #911.
Cole Macedo and Kemenah brought the field to green for the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprint A-main with Kemenah gaining the advantage over Macedo, Nate Dussel, Duane Zablocki, Byron Reed, DJ Foos and Wise. Wise was on the move early, driving from 10th to third by lap five.
Kemenah held a slim advantage while Macedo and Wise battled hard for second until the leader experienced a flat tire on lap 10. Wise pulled away on the restart with Macedo now battling Foos for second with Dussel, Zablocki, Trey Jacobs and Duncan in pursuit.
A caution on lap 15 gave Duncan the opportunity he needed as he drove to the outside of turns one and two on the restart and into fifth. With 10 laps to go Wise held a 2.5 second lead over Macedo, Foos, Dussel and Duncan. Unfortunately for Macedo the car jumped out of gear on lap 22.
Wise continued to lead when the green reappeared with Duncan and Foos battling for second. With five laps to go Duncan began to close on Wise, setting up the last lap excitement. Behind Duncan at the checkers were Wise, Foos, Jacobs and Dussel.
In the 25 lap BOSS feature Luke Hall grabbed the early lead over Dustin Ingle, Hewitt, Westfall and Tyler Gunn. Gunn charged from eighth to third in just two laps. Hewitt drove into the lead on lap three and had to survive caution with just five laps to go as Westfall put a ton of pressure on him for the win.
Hewitt held off Westfall while 16th starter Isaac Chapple stormed to a third place finish with Gunn and Dustin Smith rounding out the top five.
Third starter Weaver grabbed the early lead of the 25 lap Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprint feature with Dustin Stroup, Jamie Miller, Zeth Sabo and Alvin Roepke in pursuit. While Weaver built a sizeable lead, the battle for second was entertaining involving Stroup, Miller and Roepke. Roepke drove into second on lap 12 but made contact with an infield tire several laps later, ending his night.
At one point in the late stages of the feature, Weaver’s lead was nearly four seconds. But, the car on the move was 10th starter Kyle Capodice who wrestled second away from Miller on lap 17 and began chopping off Weaver’s lead and had it under half a second with give laps to go.
Weaver was able to negotiate through lapped cars and took the win over Capodice, Steve Rando, Sabo and Miller.
The 20-lap dirt truck race, following two crashes at the start, went non-stop the rest of the way. Brewer and McCaughey battled door to door throughout the 20 lap feature with McCaughey taking the win over Brewer, Ben Clapp, Dustin Keegan and Dana Fry.
Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, Aug. 15 on American Powersports Night with the FAST 410 Sprint Cars, 305 sprints and dirt trucks in action.

The Motivated Eyewear Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series will be heading back to the high-banks of South Jersey, visiting Bridgeport Speedway tonight for their second of three visits in 2020! FULL FLEX: Sheldon Haudenschild Wins Night Before The Ironman
Stenhouse Jr.-Marshall Racing picks up its second win of 2020 in dominating fashion
PEVELY, MO – Aug. 8, 2020 – Sheldon Haudenschild has excelled when redemption is an added trophy for the second time in 2020.
The Wooster, OH driver earned his first win of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season at Lincoln Speedway, where he didn’t qualify for the event last year. He then claimed his second victory of the season Friday night during the Night Before the Ironman at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, where he missed an opportunity to win in May when he flipped while leading.
The victory came in dominating fashion as he’s turned the 1/3-mile track into his personal playground. The raceway was built 16 years before Haudenschild was born, but he drives the track like it was built with him in mind. He runs a masterclass of ripping the top and even when he's forced off the high groove to pass cars in traffic, he’s still able to find speed.
“I don’t know if there is a secret,” Haudenschild said about his ability to master I-55. “It’s a combo of everything. Having the confidence in this race car and being really comfortable.”
However, while he dominated the night, leading 34 of the 35 laps, he was still forced to work for the win. Throughout the majority of the race, reigning champion Brad Sweet kept Haudenschild in sight and was never shy about letting him know the NAPA Auto Parts #49 was on his tail.
Sweet, who won the Night Before the Ironman last year, dove under Haudenschild in turns three and four on the first lap to claim the top spot and lead the first lap. Haudenschild had the better run off Turn 4, though, from running high, and crossed underneath Sweet down the front stretch to reclaim the lead by the time they reached Turn 1.
Multiple early cautions fizzled their battle but when the race saw consecutive green flag laps, the fans in the stands and those watching on DIRTVision saw a war for the lead with Haudenschild blazing around the high side of the track and Sweet continuously throwing his car underneath Haudenschild every corner. At times, they’d exit Turn 4 side by side, inches apart, able to reach out and touch each other.
About halfway through the race Sweet was able to dive far enough underneath the NOS Energy Drink #17 car to slide in front of him and take the lead on the exit of the turn, but a caution came out before the lap was completed. The lead went back to Haudenschild and ultimately the race.
Despite his valiant efforts to try and claim another I-55 win, Sweet couldn’t keep pace with Haudenschild in the closing stage of the event. Haudenschild sliced through lap traffic with ease in the final 10 laps, while Sweet struggled to do the same. That allowed Haudenschild to pull away and bring his Stenhouse Jr.-Marshall Racing team to Victory Lane for the second time this year and for the second time at I-55.
“She was on the fence and fast,” Haudenschild said about the track. “It wasn’t powder up there. It was tacky and grabby. I definitely got tight on the right rear a few times and pushed. I was waiting to see Brad’s nose after I did that. I feel like we recovered from our mistakes and learned on that (early) restart. So, I couldn’t ask for much more.”
Sweet’s runner-up finish is his second in a row at the track and third podium finish in a row, as well. While he has two World of Outlaws victories at the track, he’ll be on the hunt for his first Ironman title Saturday night.
“Sheldon, he’s just a gasser,” said Sweet, of Grass Valley, CA. “He was up on the fence and you had to be aggressive. He’s a Haudenschild for sure. I was watching him make moves. It was fun to watch… It’s good to be on the podium. That was a tough 35 laps. We’ve got to make our car a touch better. There’s things we can take away from tonight and go after that Ironman 55.”
Rico Abreu raced his way from seventh to third in the 35-lap event, passing Schatz and Schuchart in the closing stage of the race to steal a podium finish. He’s a two-time Ironman title holder and now has the car to try and score his third.
Haudenschild’s win helped him close within 100 points of the championship battle. Sitting fifth, he is now 96 points behind Sweet, who continues to lead. And while Sweet lost points to Haudenschild, he gained on the rest. He is now 24 points ahead of Logan Schuchart – who finished fifth – and 30 points ahead of third-place Donny Schatz – who finished fourth. Carson Macedo, who finished 8th after starting 19th – earning the KSE Hard Charger award – is fourth in points, 82 points behind Sweet.
They’ll all be gunning for the prestigious Ironman title and $20,000 payday Saturday night. For Haudenschild, he said continued consistency of running smooth laps like he did Friday night could help land to back to back Ironman wins.

ATTICA, Ohio – Cap Henry knew starting on the pole of the 410 sprint feature Friday, Aug. 7 at Attica Raceway Park he could not let his Lane Racing team down. The Republic, Ohio driver led all 30 laps and survived a late race caution to pick up his fifth win of the season at “Ohio’s Finest Racing” speed plant on Smith Family Foods/Kear’s Speed Shop/Ferguson Water Works Night.
Henry is having a dominant year at Attica, as he has won five of the nine features and now nine total for his career at the track.
Just as important, Henry will pad his point lead not only in the Callie’s Performance Products 410 Sprints, but also in the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) Presented by the Baumann Auto Group. Though his lead only grew by a few points as Chad Kemenah finished second and came into the night second in AFCS points.
“Zack (Meyers) had that thing pretty spot on. We could move where ever we had to. Zack and Jim and Brett have had this thing really good all year long and it makes driving this thing a lot of fun. At this point if we start up front and we don’t run up front it’s my fault. I’m so happy to be a part of this. This is tough. Chad’s fast, Cale’s fast, Travis is fast…we race with a lot of really fast guys. And to be able to put this thing up here every couple of weeks means a lot,” said Henry beside his Dragons Milk White, New Holland Spirits, Beer Barrel Bourbon, FK Rod Ends, Wings Unlimited, Kistler Engines, J&J Chassis, Linder Shocks, Simpson, Ballistic Designs, Big D’s Pizza, Lead Head Water Fowl, Geck Electric, Nemesis Designs #4.
Britton, Michigan’s Devin Shiels is making a great run at his second Attica Raceway Park championship in the Propane.com/Dirt Nerds Podcast Late Models. He led all 25 laps to score his third feature win of the season and ninth of his career at the track. After an opening lap multi-car crash, the race went non-stop.
“We’ve been fast on the bottom. Seems like the track is usually on the top for the heats and then down to the bottom because there’s still some moisture there after the sprint cars. I have to thank my dad, Denny, Braden and Dillon for being here tonight, Rally’s Hamburgers, Dirt Nerds Podcast and Magic Fountain Auto Wash,” Shiels said in the Engine Pro Victory Lane.
Fremont’s Paul Weaver threw a slider on Jamie Miller on the white flag lap to take the lead and held off a last lap rally from Miller to score his third Fremont Fence 305 Sprint win of the year at Attica. The victory is Weaver’s 52nd in the division at the track as he sits atop the all-time win list.
Weaver’s win will also tighten up the NAPA Auto Parts of Bryan AFCS 305 Sprints Presented by Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales point battle. Coming into the weekend Matt Foos held a 13 point lead over Miller and Weaver 39 points back. With Weaver’s win, Miller finishing second and Foos charging from 11th to a fourth place finish things will be interesting heading into the last few point races. Weaver will also maintain his slim Attica point lead over Miller and Seth Schneider.
“I thought you guys had it in for me…every time the yellow came on I went backwards,” joked Weaver.
“That second to last caution my tires were gone and that last caution I was like hug the tires and quit racing him and stay on the bottom and let him (Miller) worry about me. He spun the tires and I was just there,” added Weaver beside his B&B Drain Service, Hampshire Racing Engines, M&L Excavating, Seagate Sandblasting, Weaver Performance backed #1W.
Henry and Kemenah brought the field to green for the 30 lap 410 sprint feature but a caution necessitated another start. On the second try a multi-car incident reshuffled the starting line-up. When the green came back out a third time Henry jumped into the lead over Kemenah, Shawn Dancer, Travis Philo, Caleb Griffith, Cale Conley and Zane DeVault.
By the 10th circuit Henry raced into heavy lapped traffic with Kemenah starting to close while Conley, Griffith, Philo, Dancer, DeVault and Nate Dussel gave chase. Henry negotiated perfectly through traffic and with 11 laps to go had put a pair of lapped cars between himself and Kemenah.
The caution flew on lap 25 in an incident involving Philo and Griffith who had been waging a tremendous battle for fourth. Henry executed a great restart and drove away to the win over Kemenah, Conley, DeVault and Michael who had originally started 20th.
After a caution to start the 25 lap late model feature, the rest of the race went non-stop. Shiels grabbed the lead at the drop of the green but Ryan Missler stayed within a car length the entire race until about five laps to go when Shiels pulled away.
While the top two drove away from the field, the action for third was fantastic involving Ryan Markham, Mike Bores and Larry Bellman. When the dust settled Shiels took the win over Miller, Bores, Bellman and Markham.
Schneider and Mike Keegan brought the field to green for the 25 lap 305 A-main with Schneider taking the lead over Miller, Keegan, Kasey Jedrzejek and Weaver. The race was marred by several early cautions but after each Schneider and Miller battled each other tough with Miller taking the lead on lap six with Schneider regaining the top spot a lap later with Miller re-taking the lead on lap eight.
Meanwhile Weaver steadily inched closer to the lead duo and following a caution on lap 12, grabbed second from Schneider. Four laps later just as Weaver raced under Miller for the lead the caution flew. Two laps later and the same occurred.
Miller got an excellent restart with seven laps to go but Weaver again steadily inched his way closer. A caution with three laps to go gave Weaver the opportunity he needed. When the green flew he raced under Miller who fought off the challenges. Weaver threw a slider at Miller in turns three and four as they came to the white flag and took the lead. Miller attempted the same move coming to the checkers but Weaver held him off for the win. Schneider, Foos and Luke Griffith rounded out the top five.
There is no racing at Attica on Aug. 14 but a double-header weekend is planned for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21-22. USAC East Coast Sprint Cars Set To Invade New Egypt Speedway This Saturday Night August 8th
New Egypt, NJ - The USAC East Coast Sprint Cars will invade New Egypt Speedway this coming Saturday night August 8th in their only 2020 appearance at the Route 539 speedplant.
Come see USAC East Coast stars that include open-wheel standout and defending champion Steven Drevicki, Chris Allen Jr., Bill Unglert, Joey Biasi, Ryan Quackenbush, Christian Bruno, Bruce Buckwalter, Alex Yankowski and more as they take on the Larry’s Hot Rods & Harley’s Northeast Wingless Sprint Car regulars Presented by: The Meat Shoppe.
The Vahlco Wheels Modifieds will be on the card as well. With the season already starting to wind down, the points race will be close as Danny Bouc leads Mike Butler by six points heading into this weekend with Billy Pauch Jr. in third 12 markers behind Butler. Ryan Krachun sits fourth 22 off the lead and Brandon Grosso fifth 34 out of the lead.
Rounding out the card on Saturday night will be the Sportsman, Street Stocks and the Lyons Construction/Metal Fab Rookie Sportsman!
Adult (16+) tickets are $25, Seniors (65+) are $23, Teens (12-15) are $15 while KIDS 11 & UNDER ARE FREE! Pit gates will open at 4PM for Tech Inspection, Grandstands at 5PM with Hot Laps scheduled for 6PM and Racing at 7PM!
