Exciting Legends race from Wall Stadium

Trevor Alpsach won a very exciting 25-lap Legends feature. Zack Alspach took the early lead and was challenged early by Rob Hyer and his Trevor Alspach. The cars raced two by two, two rows deep at the front of the pack lap after lap throughout the first half of the race. Derek Hopkinson started the race in sixth and charged to challenge for third spot by lap three. Slight contact between Steve Woytysiak and Hopkinson brought out a caution and Hopkinson was sent to the rear of the field.

When the race resumed, the Alspachs put on a great battle for the lead for several laps followed closely by Robert French. Behind them, Hopkinson worked his way smoothly back up to take fourth by lap ten and contend for the lead by the halfway mark of the race. Hopkinson made an inside pass on Z. Alpach for the lead on lap 15 but as he and Z. Alspach were battling for the lead while threading through lap traffic, Hopkinson got loose and went from the lead to fourth place in a heartbeat. On lap 22 he slowed dramatically and spun in turn four. At the same time the leader Z. Alspach went into the pits and came out with an engine that sounded off. On the restart T. Alspach took the lead and held off French to take the win.

Top5- Trevor Alspach, Robert French, Derek Hopkinson, Rob Hyer and Malcolm Campbell.

Howie Conk took the win in the 25-lap Street Stock feature. Phil Fortuna lead the way in the early going until Conk, who had started in seventh position, made an inside pass for the lead on lap 13. Behind him Nick Shaw and Fortuna battled for the second spot. Conk went on to win his fourth Street Stock feature of the season.

Top 5- Howie Conk, Nick Shaw, Phil Fortuna, Mike Tillett and Jerry Stanzione.
