PAT CANNON TOPS THIRTY-EIGHT CAR FIELD TO EARN $2,200 FOR FRIDAY NIGHT RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES WIN AT WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY

Pat Cannon of Etters, PA won the twenty-five lap Rislone URC Sprint Series feature Friday night at the Williams Grove Speedway, earning $2,200 for the win. Cannon took the lead on lap eighteen and was never challenge as he rode on to the checker flag. Eric Tomecek crossed the line in second but did not make weight in post-race inspection. Ryan Wilson collected second place money followed by Davie Franek, Robbie Stillwaggon and Josh Weller.

Heat race victories went to Ryan Wilson, Ryan Bohlke, Dan Mazy and Jonathan Swanson as Robbie Stillwaggon and Brock Zearfoss won the consolation events.

In the twenty-five lap feature, pole sitter Ryan Bohlke jumped to a commanding lead at the drop of the green flag. A yellow was displayed on lap two for JJ Grasso who stopped on the track. The restart saw Bohlke again retain a solid hold of the top spot with URC hot shoe Ed Aikin in the chase, challenging Bryn Gohn for second. The MACH 1 Chassis sprint of Mark Smith was on a charge and by lap seven, he was in second and chasing Bohlke for the top spot. On lap ten, the lapped car of Brock Zeafoss spun in turn four and with nowhere to go, Mark Smith made contact with the wall and he run came to an end for the night.

Bohlke continued to set the pace and at the hallway point, Ed Aikin followed in second along with Jessica Zemken third, Pat Cannon fourth and Eric Tomecek fifth.

On lap eighteen, Bohlke and Aikin were in a battle for the lead with Bohlke spinning after contact with Aikin.

The restart saw the #7 of Ed Aikin develop a flat tire and he came to a stop. At that point, Cannon took the lead and on the next restart, Amy Ott and Bohlke tangled with Bohlke filing down the homestretch.

The green flag fell to restart the event and Cannon was at the head of the pack.

At post race teching, second place finisher Eric Tomecek was found to be illegal, coming up short of the weight specification. As a result, Ryan Wilson finished second followed by Davie Franek Robbie Stillwaggon and Josh Weller.
