URC’s RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES TO OPEN 66TH SEASON AT BIG DIAMOND RACEWAY
The 66th season for the Rislone URC Sprint Series will open Friday night, April 26 when Pioneer Pole Buildings will present the Rislone URC Sprints at the Big Diamond Raceway in Minersville, PA.
Twenty-three events are currently on the Rislone URC Sprint Tour of 2013 with two additional dates still being considered. URC will be returning to Bedford, Selinsgrove, Delaware International, New Egypt, Williams Grove, Grandview, Winchester, Potomac, Lincoln, Black Rock and Port Royal complimented by a two race weekend at the Gastonia, NC and Cherokee, SC Speedway’s.
URC will pay a minimum of $2,000 to win with special events to include the $3,500 Jack Gunn Memorial at the Selinsgrove Speedway on May 11. The Rislone Nationals paying $4,000 to win will return to the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, August 2 followed by the $4,000 to win 360 Challenger at the Black Rock Speedway on Friday night, August 9. In 2013, URC will also be part of the $8,000 to win 360 Sprint Championship at the Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday night, September 28.
Defending URC Driver Champion Robbie Stillwaggon and Owner Champion Fred Kennedy will be returning to URC in 2013 with plans to chase the championship title once again. Dave Ely of West Lawn, PA will be a URC entry as well as Joey Biasi, Kramer Williamson, Troy Betts, Art Liedl, Jonathan Swanson, Mark Bitner, Andy Best and Randy West just to name a few.
