USAC REACHES HISTORIC 10,000TH EVENT!

JULY 13, 2016 ... America's most diversified motorsports sanctioning body - the United States Auto Club - reaches a significant milestone this weekend, its 10,000th professional event!

The historic milestone will be celebrated Saturday night during the "Indiana Sprint Week" finale at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind.

Since debuting with an indoor Midget race at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind. on January 8, 1956, USAC has conducted nearly every form of motorsports imaginable. Included in the total of 10,000 events are the following: Indy Cars, Formula One, Silver Crown Championship Cars, Sprint Cars, Midgets, Stock Cars, Road Racing, IROC, Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Late Models, Supermodifieds, Grand-Am, Modifieds, Off-Road Trucks, Stadium Trucks, Solar-powered vehicles, Electric-powered vehicles, Global Rally Cross and others.

USAC annually conducts some 250-300 events each year. The largest calendar year was 2013 when 313 races were conducted. A total of 44 states have hosted USAC races and international events have occurred in Canada, Italy, Australia, England, Argentina, Barbados, Japan and the Bahamas.

"We at the United States Auto Club are proud of this accomplishment," says USAC President/CEO Kevin Miller. "It represents a lot of hard work by a lot of dedicated people and is a testament to all of our participants, fans and corporate partners who have helped make this milestone possible. We continue to celebrate 60-plus years of motorsports excellence and hope everyone has an opportunity to enjoy our product as the 2016 season continues."
