Hamlin, PA - Happy Thanksgiving From Hamlin Speedway
By Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media

The Smith Family and the Hamlin Speedway Staff would like to wish all of our loyal sponsors, drivers, teams and racing fans the very best wishes for a joyous Thanksgiving holiday. The past season at Hamlin was another exciting season from the moment we opened the gates in April until we closed the gates for the season in September. The tremendous highlights that were generated from the fabulous racing excitement in all divisions gave the fans their money's worth each Saturday evening during the season. Through the great efforts of the very loyal work force and the competitors at the speedway, the great racing shows at Hamlin continue to shine year after year. The spirit from the great network of support enables us to embrace what good friends and family truly mean to us as we spend precious time with family and friends during the holiday season.

The recent Awards Party officially ended the season at Hamlin Speedway but plans are already in place when the speedway will re-open in the Spring and it will be the fourteenth season the speedway has been under the guidance of the Smith Family. From all early indications, the 2019 racing season will once again rise above the great success the Smith Family has enjoyed since taking over the controls of the speedway that was closed in the summer of the 2005 season. The Smith Family jump-started the Speedway in 2006 and each new season has brought new cars and stars to the forefront in small car division racing. Each season has some great talent transitioning to other venues and the Hamlin Speedway staff wishes them well as they reach to accomplish their racing dreams but the welcome mat remains open for the drivers seeking to return. Additional drivers will be signing on to race at the speedway in 2019 as the excellent work from the local quarter midget clubs have prepared the graduates for their next step in racing and the already great car counts at the speedway will take another giant leap in numbers for the new season ahead. The well formatted program will once again feature seven great divisions for regular shows with many special events dotting the 2019 schedule. The speedway will once again shuffle the deck to their racing program as some drivers will make the transition from the Junior Slingshot division into the All Star Slingshot ranks for the new season ahead and the Rookie 600 Sprint divisions will see a new brigade of first timers seeking to make their mark at the premier racing facility in the Poconos.

Keep in touch with all of the latest updates of the Hamlin Speedway by visiting their website often. All of the news regarding the new 2019 racing season and some special events will follow in a timely manner. The Smith Family would like to thank all of the drivers, owners, staff, the loyal band of race fans and the supporting sponsors who have helped make the Hamlin Speedway the finest well-rounded small car division racing facility in the country.

Drivers and Owners, please make sure you support the Twelfth Annual Dirt Track Heroes Show that will be taking place from March 3rd to the 9th, 2019 at the Phillipsburg Mall located in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. The event provides a great opportunity to show your race car and to profile yourself and your sponsors to the more than 75,000 visitors who attended the show in 2018. Long time friend of the Hamlin Speedway, Justin Beltrame has taken over the coordinating efforts of the show for the Miller Family and will do an excellent job as Hamlin Speedway announcer Steve Pados and his brother Ed will take a step back but will assist Justin in the transition. Beltrame, Bobby Stull and Alex Greenzweig will once again host the nightly shows at the event.

Please support the many great sponsors who assist in working and sponsoring the season long events at the speedway. S&S Speedways, JPA Masonry, Chad Wheeler Excavating, RLE Towing and Recovery, Tilcon, Yankowski Enterprises, Ron Brown Hauling and RockAuto.com are all part of the advertising family at the speedway and we graciously thank them for their support.

Hamlin Speedway is seeking additional marketing sponsors to join the speedway team for the 2019 racing season.
