12TH ANNUAL QUAKER STEAK & LUBE DIRT TRACK HEROES EVENT SCHEDULE RELEASED, SHOW RUNS MARCH 3 TO MARCH 9 AT THE PHILLIPSBURG MALL

As the Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes Show is in the final stages of it's March 3rd opening day, the behind the scenes activity remains hectic as snow and cold proves to be a hindrance in completing some of the chores. The show has proved to be a very successful gathering of the past, present and future of auto racing all under one roof, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey as the Twelfth Annual Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes Show gets ready to rock and roll. The Dirt Track Heroes Car Show will be primed and ready when the doors of the Mall swing open to welcome the return of the show to the Phillipsburg Mall with opening day set for Sunday, March 3rd. The show encompasses the majority of the local short track scene and will continue through Saturday night, March 9th. The Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ, has proven to be a very popular setting for this special event and will offer a multitude of race cars, racing memorabilia, collectibles and photos on display throughout the course of the show. The tentative 2019 schedule for the event is attached to the Press Release. Some new ideas have been kicked around and implemented into the 2019 schedule. The Sunday opening is a tribute to the Nazareth Speedways and Dorney Park with "Rapid" Richie Smith being named the honoree for the show. On Monday night, the focus will be an invite to Photographers, Announcers and Media as they will have the opportunity to talk about their experiences around the speedways or behind the fences. Tuesday night is the annual salute to the

"Stars of Tomorrow" as the Quarter Midget stars take to the mike......some giving their first ever interviews to a good sized crowd. Wednesday night is the focus on small car divisions from some of the exciting tracks in the local area. Thursday night will be full size divisions from some of the premier bigger tracks in the locality. Friday will be a two show day with the first show at 4 PM focusing on the legends of the sport telling their racing stories and the evening show dedicated to the open wheel divisions. The final day of the show on Saturday will have our good friends from Premio Foods cooking up something special to be followed by an All-Star Tribute to legendary racing star, "The Old Master" Frankie Schneider who passed away recently.

Quaker Steak & Lube, or The Lube(r) to loyalists, the award-winning casual dining concept known for its Best Wings USA and over 25 signature sauces, is fully prepped and geared as the lead sponsor for the 12th Annual Dirt Track Heroes Car Show. All historical racing groups including Flemington, Tri State, Reading, Harmony and Nazareth will have their memorabilia on display and their many scrapbooks open for the fans to take another long look at the glory years of racing and possibly find a picture or two they want to purchase as a keepsake from past glory or racing exploits. Cars on displaywill include big and small block Modifieds, Sportsman, 600 and 270 Sprints, Midgets, Mid Atlantic, NEWS, 358, 360 and 410 Sprints, Drag Racers, Late Models, go-karts, quarter midgets and a broad range of vintage and restored race cars. Hamlin, Snydersville, Accord, New Egypt, Mahoning, Grandview, Big Diamond, Evergreen and Bridgeport are among the many speedways invited to the 2019 show. The week-long event will set aside one evening to salute the "Stars of Tomorrow" with a special night for the budding young racing talents competing with the many quarter midget clubs in the local area.

The Dirt Track Heroes Car Show will again offer a great keepsake event souvenir program book and apparel. The Phillipsburg Mall is open Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM and from Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM.

Tuesday- March 5 – (6:30 PM) Adams Bothers Used Parts, Carl’s Auto Repair and Dean’s Autosports presents the “Stars of Tomorrow” featuring all Quarter Midget Clubs: Blue Mountain, Lehigh Valley, West End Raceway, Keystone, Former USAC 1/4 Midget National Champion Anthony “Chops” Chrobak will address the crowd

Wednesday- March 6 – (6:30 PM) Smith Fabrications and Hamlin Speedway presents Hamlin Speedway all divisions, Snydersville and Oreville Raceway and Accord Speedway

Thursday- March 7- (6:30) Phillipsburg Easton Honda and Smitty’s Collision Center presents New Egypt, Bridgeport, Mahoning, Grandview, Big Diamond Raceway and X-Cel Modifieds

Friday - March 8 – (1st Show (4 p.m.) JPA Masonry and Speed Tec presents “The Legends of Racing” with many legendary racing stars from Reading, Nazareth, Harmony, Orange County and Flemington expected to participate in round-table fun.
