Hamlin Speedway Promoters Randy and Denise Smith welcomed in another energetic group of racers on Saturday evening, with the sunhine lighting up the overhead skies of the Pocono Mountains. The racing was top notch all of the way in all divisions and another great crowd was on hand to witness the great season at the speedway. The Hamlin driving stars used all channels of the meticulously manicured 1/5th mile clay cushioned attraction to keep the fans the fans on their feet throughout the evening of speed. They all came out to the Pocono Mountains to place their marks on the "Pearl of the Poconos" racing facility. The high flying racing action was sponsored by the good folks at S&S Speedways Indoor Go Karts located in Stroudsburg, PA. (www.ssspeedways.com). Six smiling winners found their way to the Hamlin Speedway Winners Circle at the end of the evening of racing action. The six feature show was completed at 10.13 PM.

The Saturday night action found "The Big Show" Joey Amantea leading the way as he captured the JPA Masonry Wingless 600 Feature event for the first time ever in his two year career in the division. The Super Slinger feature found David Guest winning the event for the first time ever as well. Kasey Hufcut captured the Amantea Real Estate Junior Slingshot event with a great run to the checkered flag for another great win. Scott Neary wired the fiield in the All Star Slingshot match-up. Adam Buchel worked on leader Tanner Van Doren throughout the event and then chose the right moment to seize the lead and go on and put on a show all by himself as he, won the race going away. Jacob Eby utilized his pole start to exhibit a hot-rod racer that had more than enough for the field behind him as he captured the PA Masonry Wingless 600 Rookie Sprint event.

In the JPA Masonry sponsored Wingless 600 Main event, it would be Mick D'Agostino rushing out front on the initial start of thevent but a fneder bender brought the field to a halt. On the restart it would be Joey Amantea grabbing the lead with an outside move ovedr D'Agostino. D'Agostino would try to get the best of Amantea but it would be Amantea holding off the two time champion at the speedway. Cody Smith would keep beat with the leaders and had Joseph Smith behind him all evening. That was how the field would finish with Zach Weisenfluh grabbing up fifth place. , Chad Sand, borrowing a car to do battle and would race the car to sixth place, with Tyler Lindsay, Noah Zielinski, Scott Slaterr Jr and Paul Richards heading up the top ten finishers.

The Super Slingshot feature event found David Guest getting a great start as he raced away from the field with impressive laps in his number 29 Bath Truck Cap sponsored race car. "Thje Ambassador" Wes Hearn took up the chase but could not catch the high flying Guest and then had to deal with Dale Kober coming back through the field to challenge the front runners. Guest was amzing in hitting his speedway marks as he raced away from tthose chasing him down. Hearn finished in the runner-up role with Dale Kober steady in third place, and Mark Exeter finishing out the top four..

Kasey Hufcut raced into the lead at the start of the Amantea Real Estate Junior Slingshot event and he raced with himself for most of the evening as he left the remainder of the field in his wiake. Aidan Donaldson got into the runner-up slot late in the race but by that time Hufcut was gone. James Hendricks finished third after holding on to second place for many laps on this night of action. RJ Sherman hustled to fourth place with Charlene Benz nailing down a top five finish. a newcomer to the speedway, was third in a nice run and he received lots of pressure from Doug Smith and RJ Sherman who completed the top five. Aidan Elliot, who was spun out in the early laps, came back to record a sixth place finish. Charlene BEnz, Chase Zimmer, Jacob Berman, and Ashton DeWitt completed the top ten finishers.

On the JPA Masonry Rookie 600 Sprint event it would be the Jacob Eby putting on a great show as he wired the field with a flwless effort on his part. Parlanti would finish second with Justin Newhard hustling hard into third place with Rich Maguire in fourth place and Michael Nolf doing a great job of returning form an early sppin to land in fifth place at the racing end. Cody Powell hustled to sixth place and Mandie Maguire was seventh in the event.

In the All Star Slingshot feature event, it would be Scott Neary grabbing up the lead early on in this one and drive to a close win over his teammate Austin Silfee. Brian Smith, who had moved up to this division for the Junior ranks did a great job at holding off two of the best in the business in Wes hearn and Dale Kober who both followed. James Benz was sixth with Rachel Dickinson, Paul Ennes, Shelby McLaughlin, and Joey Kalafut completing the top ten finioshers. The division has been storng early on and woll get better as the rookies who have joined the rnaks this season improve with their counterparts.

Paul richards Jr was third with Mack Brink and Mick D'Agostino working hard until the end of the event to play catch-up. Noah Zielinski was sixth and was followed by Joseph Smith, TYler Lindsay, Chad SAndt and Scott Slater.

PEARL JAMS:
