The Super Slingshot feature event found John Gilroy getting a great start as he raced away from the field with impressive laps in his number 20 Gilroy Northeast racing machine sponsored race car. "The Comet" Paul Ennes took up the chase but could not catch the high flying Gilroy and then had to deal with Dale Kober coming back through the field to challenge the front runners. Gilroy was in full swing as he was hitting his speedway marks as he raced far and away from those chasing him down. Giory won the event with Ennes, Kober, steady Jimmy Conroy and Wes Hearn finish in the top five places. Greg Zellman, David Guest and Mark Exeter rounded out the field.

Dennis Chamberlain, who was following, took over the lead and led until the event was checkered. Newcomer Stephen Weirich did a great job in the runner-up role as he raced through the field from seventh spot. Jake Eby was also strong as he came through the pack as well. Michael Nolf held on for sixth place while behind him were Justin Newhard, Morgan Rochelle, Rich Maguire, the returning Brandon Nicholas, Cody Powell and Carmen Leggio Sr.

PEARL JAMS:

Kudos to Randy Smith for an excellent track surface that once again found the drivers utilizing the many racing channels throughout the evening of competition. Additional time was taken to keep the track surface smooth and tacky throughout the evening of speed. With the new clay laid down this week, the track was mirror smooth and racy from top to bottom.

The Super Slingshot heat found John Gilroy returning to action with a victory in the heat action. Rookie 600 Sprint heats were claimed by Dennis Chamberlain and "The Whiz Kid" Jack Hannah. Kasey Hufcut and James hendricks countered with wins in the Junior Slingshots. . Adam and Amanda Buchel were the heat winners in the Stage One Modifieds. CJ Fritz and "The Ambassador" Wes Hearn captured the heat wins for the All Star Slingshots. JPA Masonry Wingless Heats were captured by Paul Richards Jr and "The Taylor Tornado" Zac Weisenfluh.

Jill Brink walked off with the 50/50 bucks.
