“FIRST RESPONDERS” WILL BE HONORED AT WALL STADIUM SATURDAY (JULY 13) WITH TWIN MOD RACES

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ Exciting stock car racing, which will feature twin 40 laps races for the All American Auto Group Modified stock cars, will take center stage on the speedway and community heroes will be honored in the grandstands as Wall Stadium Speedway presents “First Responders Night” this Saturday (July 13). On the track five divisions will compete in six main events while in the grandstands the men and women who serve our community in police forces, fire companies and rescue squads will be admitted to the spectator area free of charge with proper identification.

Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. The evening’s main event action will follow around 7:00 p.m. In addition, the track will celebrate the nation's birthday with a special performance by the Newark Fire Department Honor Guard and the New Jersey Pipe Band.

On the third mile high-banked paved oval the Modifieds will be in the spotlight in two 40-lap main events. Top drivers Eric Mauriello of Brick, Andrew Krause of Holmdel, Jackson's Steven Reed, Roger Coss of Lafayette, Ron Frees of Lanoka Harbor, Derek Hopkinson of Toms River and Jason Treat of Jackson, just to name a few, are expected to see action.

The Center State Engineering Sportsman cars, the O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks, the Surfside Collision 4 Cylinder Stocks and the Mike's Performance Center Limited Late Models are all slated to compete in 25-lap feature races.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying for the night’s program starts at 5:45 p.m. and main events will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays through early October. Special events are also featured in the fall including the “Spooky Spectacular” in October and the season ending Turkey Derby on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
