KRAUSE MEMORIAL AUTO RACE WINNER WILL EARN $7,127

AT WALL STADIUM THIS SATURDAY (AUGUST 24)

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ The season's highest paying Modified stock car race offering $7,127 to the winner will be in the spotlight this Saturday night (Aug. 24) at Wall Stadium Speedway as the third mile paved oval track presents the 127-lap “Cliff Krause Memorial.” Krause, the promoter of the speedway who is credited by many for returning the history rich oval to prominence, passed away in January, 2018 from natural causes. His wife Diane, along with children Emily and Andrew, continue to operate the speedway.

Saturday night's emotional auto racing card will see grandstand seating opening at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. Main event action will follow around 7:00 p.m. Due to the importance of the event a Sunday rain date will be used if necessary with competitor gates opening at 10:00 a.m., grandstand seating opening at 2:00 p.m., qualifying at 2:45 p.m. and main events starting at 4:00 p.m.

The All American Auto Group Modifieds will battle in a 127-lap main event with drivers not only searching for the rich payday, but also for the honor of winning this second annual “Cliff Krause Memorial” race. Last season, Cliff Krause's son Andrew was the emotional winner of the first annual event.

In addition to Holmdel's Krause, former track champion Jimmy Blewett of Howell has said that he will be in the field with plenty of competition coming from speedway regulars Eric Mauriello of Brick, Steven Reed and Jason Treat, both of Jackson, Derek Hopkinson of Toms River, Mayetta's Tyler Truex, Roger Coss of Lafayette and New Egypt's Jason Hearne, just to name a few.

With the large payout and prestige offered by this race, several competitors from out of the area are also expected to enter. In fact, Danny Bohn of Huntersville, N. C. has already confirmed. Complete rules are available at www.wallspeedwayracing.com.

The O'Shea's Auto Repair Factory Stocks, Surfside Collision 4 Cylinder Stocks and Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars will also be on the card, all racing in 25-lap main events. The touring Three Quarter Midgets will also be on the card in a 25-lapper on the fifth mile inner oval.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. with main events to follow.

The Saturday night schedule, which continues through early October, is available at www.wallspeedwayracing.com.
