SMITH FABRICATIONS BACK AS SPONSOR OF 13TH ANNUAL QUAKER STEAK & LUBE DIRT TRACK HEROES CAR SHOW

Absolutely Free. . . Come one, Come all to the Quaker Steak and Lube 13th Annual Dirt Track Heroes Car Show Friday, March 6 to Sunday, March 8 at the Palmer Park Mall in Easton, PA. The three day event will showcase various race cars from different divisions to include race cars of current day as well as past racing days. This popular event will include a tribute to Doug Hoffman and the great racing legacy he left behind. Event organizers are also dedicating this event to the racing promotional team of Steve and Ed Pados, both instrumental in the past success of this show.

Once again Smith Fabrications, the home of the Stage One Modifieds, will play an important role in this year's edition of the show. The Smith name has remained synonymous to the local racing scene for the past six decades as father Roy Smith was a pioneer in the golden era of racing with his signature numbered 555 race cars that had many top drivers wheeling the equipment such as Freddy Adam, Bobby Bottcher, Billy Tanzosh, Johnny Cabral and Richie Smith among them. "Rapid Rich" has utilized his years of knowledge while steering a race car to come up with a scaled version of the full sized Modified cars he drove to many wins in his driving career. The cutting edge, sleek looking Stage One Modified is the finished product from Smith Fabrications and the cars are real eye-catchers when on display or at speed.

The Stage One Modified is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Smith Fabrications and the Stage One Modifieds return for their ninth season as a nightly sponsor for the event and have participated in all of the Mall events to date. For additional information regarding the purchase or rental of a Stage One Modified, log-on to their website at: www.smithfabrications.com or contact Richie by phone at: 610 462 4302.

An actioned packed schedule of events for fans of all ages is in the final stages of completion and event organizer Justin Beltrame is excited for the show. “I cannot thank everyone for all the support they have given to help put this show together as I feel we have a great show in store for the whole racing family”. “ I feel we have a little something for everyone in the racing family this year to enjoy, we will still have the interview sessions and autograph sessions that was a signature piece of Pados brothers shows throughout the years”, noted Beltrame.

Some key highlights will be the 2nd Annual Premio Foods Sausage Eating Contest with top prize of $100 donated by Pete Telesco of Premio foods. Also, a tire changing competition will take place thanks to Steve Young and the Dirt Track 187 Media Sportsman car. Trains and Lanes will not only have an indoor R/C race on a custom-built track but will also have extra cars on hand for the kids to drive and navigate through their course.

As always many of vendors will be present selling apparel, souvenirs, pictures for all you race fans. For all you racing moms out there we will have jewelry, clothing and other home décor vendors on site. Finally, after a few strolls around the mall and the show there will be a screening room to sit back and relax and watch racing videos from different tracks and different eras for asphalt and dirt racing.

On Sunday we will close the show honoring Doug Hoffman who ranks up with the legends of the asphalt and dirt racing scene in the area.
