KRAUSE MEMORIAL RACE WINNER WILL EARN $7,127 AT WALL STADIUM SATURDAY (SEPT. 19)

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ The season's highest paying Modified stock car race offering $7,127 to the winner will be in the spotlight this Saturday night (Sept. 19) at Wall Stadium Speedway as the third mile paved oval track presents the 127-lap “Cliff Krause Memorial.” Krause, the promoter of the speedway who is credited by many for returning the history rich oval to prominence, passed away in January, 2018 from natural causes. The Krause family continues to operate the speedway.

Saturday night's emotional auto racing card will see grandstand seating opening at 4:30 p.m. and support division qualifying is set for 5:30 p.m. Modified single car time trials are set for 6:10 p.m. and main event action will follow around 7:00 p.m.

The Modifieds will battle in a 127-lap main event with drivers not only searching for the rich payday, but also for the honor of winning this third annual “Cliff Krause Memorial” race. Last season, Eric Mauriello of Brick won the prestigious event. Cliff Krause's son Andrew Krause was the emotional winner of the first annual event in 2018.

Current point leader Blake Barney of Jackson, who won the Garden State Classic earlier this season, plans to be in the field as well as top point earners Ron Frees of Lanoka Harbor, Krause, Kevin Davison of Howell and Eddie McCarthy of Brick. Jimmy Blewett of Howell, Anthony Sesely of Matawan and Roger Coss of Lafayette have made at least one appearance each this season and could be among the invaders competing Saturday night.

The Factory Stocks, 4 Cylinder Stocks and Legend Cars will also be on the card, all racing in 25-lap main events.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 4:30 p.m. Support division qualifying is set for 5:30 p.m. and single car Modified time trials are set for 6:10 p.m. with main events to follow.

The Saturday night schedule, which continues through October 10, is available at www.wallspeedwayracing.com.

Wall Stadium Speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B. The speedway hotline number is 732-681-6400 and email address is CKMotorsports@aol.com.
