Modifieds and Sportsman Division Set To Headline

New Egypt, NJ -- New Egypt Speedway is ready to kick off its 2014 season with the Race of Champions Cabin Fever 60 event featuring a 60 lap feature for the Modified division and a 40 lap feature for the Sportsman division.
The Speedway will once again welcome the Race of Champions series run by Andy Harpell to kick off our season. Both the Modified and Sportsman divisions will follow the Race of Champions rules for this event. Rules can be found at rocdirt.com or newegyptspeedway.net. There will be a fuel stop on lap 30 of the Modified feature to accommodate the many expected alcohol running Small Block Modifieds. Modified drivers expected to compete this coming Saturday include Billy Pauch, Ryan Godown, Stewart Friesen, Craig VonDohren, Neal Williams, Jimmy Blewett, and many more.

Drivers in both divisions will be competing for special bonus awards that were carried over from the cancelled March Madness Meltdown event. Bonus awards have been provided by Vahlco Racing Wheels, Wrisco Industries, MEG Wheels, Bob Hilbert Sportswear, RacersGuide.com, Lineman Racing, 4Star Lettering, RockAuto.com, Competition Products, PM3 Digital Imaging, Physical Therapy Associates of Mercer County, and Premio Foods. Fans will also be treated to giveaways both at the front gate and during the event from Herr’s Foods, TGI Friday’s Hamilton, Investors Bank, Physical Therapy Associates of Mercer County, and Bob Hilbert Sportswear. Drivers will also have a chance to collect lap money courtesy of many of our loyal and generous sponsors. The Modifieds will receive $20 per lap lead and the Sportsman will receive $10 per lap lead. Special sponsors for the event include Mercer Marine Supply, Fuccello’s Custom Exhaust, Hamilton Automotive, Mufflex Performance Exhaust, Bitner Automotive, N&B Marine Supply, and Haldeman Ford.

Pit gates will open at 10 am for early technical inspection, grandstand gates will open at 2 pm, practice begins at 3 pm, and the first green flag will wave at 4 pm. Adults are $25, seniors $23, teens 12-15 and active military and their spouses are $10, and children 11 and under are free. Pit admission is $35 with no license required.
