GRANT SWEEPS LAS VEGAS' "FVP SHOWDOWN" WITH THURSDAY VICTORY

Las Vegas, NV........Justin Grant of Ione, Calif. completed a "clean sweep" of the 7th FVP Showdown for USAC West Coast and Sands Chevrolet Southwest Sprint Cars at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with Thursday night's 25-lap feature victory. Wednesday's winner started sixth in Thursday's race but ran down early leaders Brady Short and Brady Bacon to grab the lead on lap four in Bill Michael's #77M Kodiak Products/Beal's Auto Body Sherman/Ford. He proceeded to lead the final 22 laps to beat Brody Roa, Tyler Courtney and Bacon, who waged a race-long battle for the runner-up spot. Stevie Sussex rounded out the "top-five" at the checkered flag. "These guys are awesome," said Grant about his team. The car really stuck wherever we put it but the rest of the field kept us honest tonight. "I really had to work for this one." Grant was also the fastest qualifier and won his heat race. Colton Hardy came from 17th to 8th to claim the Saldana Racing Products/Racing Optics Hard Charger award.
