Swedesboro, NJ (May 26, 2012) – On Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter mile oval, Lee Nardelli notched two wins. Nardelli won the 600cc Micro-Sprint feature after taking the 270cc Micro-Sprint main event. Scott Dunn was victorious in the 4-Cylinder Enduro Car race.

Lee Nardelli

At the beginning of the 20-lap 600cc Micro-Sprint feature, Jermain Godshall jumped to the front with Dave Carlberg and Lee Nardelli in tow. With plenty of passing in the opening circuits, Nardelli was up to second in three laps. Shane Lewis was on the move as well and he climbed into third with four tours completed. Nardelli and Lewis were engaged in a battle for the runner-up spot when the red flag waved on lap 7 due to a multi-car accident. On the ensuing restart, Nardelli outgunned Godshall to take the lead. Also on lap 8, a slowing Scott Harbison caused the final caution period of the event. When action got back underway, Nardelli was still in front with Lewis advancing by Godshall for second. At the halfway point, Richie Keller, who started the race in the fourteenth, was continuing his charge to the front as he motored past Godshall for third place. By lap 14, the top three of Nardelli, Lewis, and Keller were in close quarters. As the final circuits clicked off, the lead pack was approaching slower cars. On the last circuit in lap traffic, Nardelli held off Lewis and Keller for the victory. Jeff Hartman finished in fourth after starting the race in twelfth. Bill Thomas came home in fifth. The heat race winners in the 600cc Micro-Sprint class were Steve Bracall, Shane Lewis and Jermain Godshall.

Lee Nardelli

In the non-stop 20-lap 270cc Micro-Sprint feature, Lee Nardelli led from start to finish in gaining the victory. Justin Stillwagon applied heavy pressure in the final laps but had to settle for second place. Jeff Hartman, Richie Keller, and Charlie Lamanna completed the top five. Jeff Hartman and Charlie Lamanna were victors in the 270cc Micro-Sprint qualifying races.

Scott Dunn racked up his first win of the year by holding off one of his sons in the final circuits of the 20-lap contest for the 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars. Justin Dunn could not pass his dad in the late moments of the race and wound up in second. Robbie Dunn, John Gray, and Art Knapp rounded out the top five.
