FREMONT, Ohio - It's been a very long time since "The Wild Child" Jac Haudenschild visited victory lane at Fremont Speedway. The 60-year-old hall-of-famer did just that Friday, Sept. 14 to open the 11th Annual Jim and Joanne Ford Classic on All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads Night.

A crowd favorite, Haudenschild, from Wooster, Ohio, had to hold off last year's opening night Jim Ford Classic winner Tim Shaffer who had charged from 16th starting spot. An fuel stop with four laps to go put Shaffer right on Haudenschild's rear bumper but the veteran hit his marks perfectly to take home the $3,000 payday and his fourth career win at "The Track That Action Built."

"I can't remember when the last time I won at Fremont. We won an All Star show this year and now this and it helps a ton. I saw the 49 started about last and was second so I knew he was on it. When things are working good like this it's still fun. I have to thank all my sponsors; if it wasn't for them we couldn't do this deal," Haudenschild said beside his Southern Pacific Farms, Whistle Stop Bar and Grill, Finzer Farms, Ron Jacobs Trucking, Triple X Race Company, Performance Foot and Ankle backed #3.

By taking the green flag Gibsonburg, Ohio's Craig Mintz earned his third championship and the $10,000 payday for the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series Presented by Ohio Logistics. Mintz also earned his third career Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Fremont Speedway track championship.

"I just drive the race car, these guys behind me make it happen. The RPM Chassis, Elite Wings, Kistler Engines...you put those three together and it's a pretty good deal," said Mintz of his titles.

The Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 sprint A-main came down to the last corner of the last lap and Fremont's Paul Weaver used a lapped car as a pick to take the $1,000 win from race long leader Kyle Peters. It was Weaver's second win of the year at Fremont Speedway and his eighth overall victory of 2018. Weaver now sits seventh on the track's all-time win list with 47 career feature wins.

"He (Peters) did the right move. I was going to haul it in there...I wasn't going to wreck him. When he decided to go to the bottom I thought hopefully he comes to a stop and I kept my momentum and it worked," said Weaver adding his 10-year-old race shows came apart and the heal kept getting hung up on the brake pedal.

"I have to thank Daryl Schiets, and Bob Hampshire and Dave Rice...if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here," added Weaver beside his Hampshire Racing Engines, M&L Excavating, Weaver Performance Center, Schiets Motorsports, Seagate Sandblasting, Miller Rigging backed machine.

Fremont, Ohio's John Ivy was also honored for his third career 305 sprint Fremont Speedway track champion. It is Ivy's seventh overall track title as he has three 410 sprint championships and a dirt truck title as well.

Woodville, Ohio's Troy Hahn made is debut in the McCullough Industries Limited Late Models a night to remember at Fremont Speedway as he scored his first career victory.

"This one is for my uncle Bill (Hahn, a former track champion). He got us all into this a long time ago. He's in the hall of fame here. There's a lot of parts and pieces on this car from his old car and I put one of Kenny Hahn's cars back together. This means a lot to the Hahn family. We specifically built this car for this track. I have to thank Rich Farmer for everything he has done for the late models and I now he's planning on retiring but I hope they continue this deal...there's more guys interested in the division," said Hahn beside his L&K Truck and Auto, High Side Design, Wojo's Heating & Air Conditioning, Fremont Chiropractic, Key Realty backed #20.

Fremont, Ohio's Dustin Keegan was recognized for winning the late model track championship to go with his 2017 dirt truck title at Fremont Speedway.

Haudenschild and Stuart Brubaker brought the field to green for the 30-lap 410 sprint feature but before a lap could be completed Chance Morton, making his winged sprint car debut, spun. On the second attempt at a start Brubaker grabbed the lead over Haudenschild, Lee Jacobs, Mintz, Buddy Kofoid, Travis Philo and Dan McCarron.

With three laps scored Nate Dussel spun with the restart order Brubaker, Haudenschild, Jacobs, Mintz, Kofoid, Philo. Disaster struck on lap six for Brubaker who stopped on the speedway, handing the lead to Haudenschild. With seven laps scored DJ Foos took a wild flip in turn three and was uninjured while Mintz and Philo tangled battling for fourth with Mintz coming to a stop. On the restart Haudenschild pulled away from Jacobs, Kofoid, Philo and Cap Henry.

By lap 10 the car on the move was Shaffer who had moved from 16th to sixth. Haudenschild encountered heavy lapped traffic by the 13th circuit allowing Jacobs to close with Kofoid, Shaffer and Henry in tow. Shaffer took third at the half way point and with eight laps to go leader Haudenschild was struggling with lapped traffic allowing Jacobs to close once again.

Morton spun with seven laps to go, giving Haudenschild a clear track. On the restart Shaffer took second from Jacobs and closed quickly on Haudenschild. Once Haudenschild got his rhythm he pulled away from Shaffer with Jacobs, Kofoid, Henry and Philo giving chase.

With just four laps to go Dussel brought out the caution, necessitating a fuel stop. When the race resumed Haudenschild had to deal with Shaffer with Jacobs, Kofoid, Philo, Cole Duncan and McCarron staying close. Haudenschild had one brief scare as he got over the cushion in turn two with two laps to go, but gathered it back in and drove to the win over Shaffer, Jacobs, Kofoid and Henry rounding out the top five.

In the 25-lap 305 sprint feature, Tyler Street and Peters paced the field with Peters grabbing the lead over Street, Weaver, Jamie Miller, John Ivy and Alvin Roepke. Peters and Street battled had for the lead until Chase Dunham had a front end break and hit the front stretch wall. On the restart Peters and Street resumed their battle with Weaver, Miller and Ivy staying close.

Mike Keegan coasted to a stop with six laps scored and when the green flew it was a five car battle for the lead involving Peters, Street, Weaver, Miller and Ivy. Joe Armbruster spun with nine laps scored and on the restart Justin Adams got side ways. A lap later and Jordan Ryan took a tumble in turn one and was uninjured. When the green flew Peters and Street continued to fight for the lead while Weaver and Miller ran nose to tail for third and fourth.

Peters and Street raced side by side from lap 12 to lap 17 when Weaver joined in the battle. Those three put on quite the performance as they entered lapped traffic with three laps to go. Weaver took second on lap 23 and closed on Peters who was trying to navigate through the traffic. After taking the white flag Peters drove into turn three and tried to block Weaver on the bottom but lapped cars slowed his momentum and Weaver blasted to the outside and took the lead exiting turn four and drove to the win over Peters, Ivy, Street and Miller.

Miller and Dana Fry brought the field to green for the 15 lap late model A-main with Miller gaining the advantage with fifth starter Hahn quickly moving into second just before the caution flew for Josh Kiser and Jerry Creeger tangle. On the restart Hahn grabbed the lead over Miller, John Mayes and Steve Sabo.

The car on the move was Chester Fitch who moved into third on lap four but promptly spun. Another caution for Collin Shipley on lap seven allowed Hahn to stay in front of Mayes, Miller, Bill Clapp Jr. and Sabo.

Hahn steadily pulled away and took the win over Sabo, Mayes, Miller and Shipley.

Fremont Speedway will wrap up the 2018 season Saturday, Sept. 15 with the 11th Annual Jim and Joanne Ford Classic paying the 410 feature winner $10,000. The 305 sprints and Burmeister Trophy Dirt Trucks will also be in action.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.

FREMONT, Ohio - Chris Andrews knocked the gorilla off his back Saturday, June 30 at Fremont Speedway. The Sandusky, Ohio driver has dealt with mechanical issues and an ill-handling race car throughout 2018, but the Burmeister Racing team put it all together on Willie's Sales & Service Night for Andrews first 410 sprint car win of the year.

It wasn't easy for Andrews as he first battled with Broc Martin and then had to hold off a charging Tyler Gunn the final five laps to score his 10th career win at "The Track That Action Built." The win also will help Andrews inch closer to the top three in points for the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series Presented by Ohio Logistics.

"Track was pretty good tonight and the Kistler motor was running pretty good and Mikey (Sommers, crew chief) had the car good. I thought we had it a little tight at the beginning...it's a 100 degrees out and I was working twice as hard but I can't thank these guys enough. Channel Seed, Edwards Agriculture, ML Graphics, Kistler Engines, Kistler Racing Products, and Mikey and Rollie, Tommie, Glenn and Sharon Burmeister for putting up with all of us," Andrews said in the Engine Pro Victory Lane.

"It's been a frustrating year. This is noteasy. Broc Martin and Byron Reed and Stuart Brubaker...all these guys are tough and are getting better all the time," Andrews added.

Pittsboro, Indiana's Randy Hannagan has won a lot of sprint car races in his career from the World of Outlaws and All Stars to victories in Australia. But a win at Fremont Speedway has eluded him until Saturday. Hannagan held off a late race challenge from Devin Dobie to capture his first ever win at "The Track That Action Built" with the K&L Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invaders. Hannagan dedicated the victory to Jason Johnson, who lost his life racing a week ago.

"I could retire now because I have this place off my bucket list. This place and Attica has eluded me more than any other place in the world. It's the trickest race track....you have to race the track. We've thought we've had it right every time we have been here...that last time I pushed so bad in qualifying I wanted to load it up and go home. These guys never give up....Lonny, Dennis Yoakum, Fritz, my son, Mason...that's the biggest pleasure I get is having him out here and meeting me in victory lane," said Hannagan beside his Stark County Co-Op, McDallion, Refinish Systems, Hoosier Tire, SMRS, Kenny's Components backed #22H.

"This one right here is for Jason Johnson. It's a tough deal when you race for a living like he has....I've been able to do it a number of years. I didn't know Jason that well but I knew him. We raced in Australia together and all across the country. It's hard to get close to these guys for when things like this happen because it hits home. It's an extended part of your family. This is also for Kent Karhoff my long time crew chief...his father passed away the same day as Jason Johnson so I want to dedicate this to him also. He's been a big part of my career over the years with Dennis Yoakum Racing and my old team. I have to thank Ron Hammons for keeping a hell of a series together and Rich Farmer for giving us a track. I think we have one of the best series in the country to race with," added Hannagan.

Jamie Miller is the hottest 305 sprint car driver in Ohio right now. The Fremont, Ohio driver dominated the Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 A-main for his fourth straight win in the JLH General Contractor FAST 305 Championship Series Presented by Engine Pro. It was Miller's second win of the year at Fremont and his fifth overall victory of 2018. Miller will take a big FAST point lead into the series race at Waynesfield Raceway Park Tuesday, July 3.

"This isn't really my type of trace track. It was pretty slick for me but we have this car really dialed in. It doesn't seem like we can do any wrong with it. This things stutters and stumbles like crazy on starts and restarts but we worked on it and it was a lot better tonight. I popped off six in a row at Attica one time and I'm hoping to out do that. This is special because we have won four in a row at three different race tracks. It's tough to win that many races period in this division. On any given night there's 15 cars in the pits that can win," said Miller beside Sonic Hauling, Fostoria Mod Shop, Phil Rister Racing, NAPA of Attica, Reedtown Tavern, Branham Builders, Crown Battery, Avon by Angie, Sparting Underground backed #26.

Andrews and DJ Foos were scheduled to comprise the front row of the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprint A-main but Foos went pit-side before the green could wave. That would move Broc Martin to the outside of the front row. When the green flew Martin grabbed the lead but Andrews raced to his inside with Byron Reed and Kody Kinser battling for third. Andrews took the lead on lap two but Martin continued to hound him to the outside over the next few laps.

Andrews began to steadily inch away from Martin while Kinser, Reed and Tyler Gunn gave chase. Just as the leaders were preparing to enter heavy lapped traffic with Kinser challenging Martin for the runner-up spot, Kinser spun. Andrews got a terrific restart and pulled away from Martin, Reed, Stuart Brubaker, Gunn, Nate Dussel (from 14th) and Craig Mintz. Reed took second on lap 14 and chipped away at Andrews' lead and was right on his rear bumper when they encountered lapped traffic again with nine laps to go. The car on the move was Gunn, who charged into third on lap 17 and was closing on Andrews and Reed when the caution flew for a Thomas Meseraull spin with seven laps to go.

With a clear track Andrews pulled away slightly when the green flew again with Gunn quickly taking second from Reed. With four laps to go Gunn was racing to Andrews' outside. The duo battled wing to wing to the checkers with Andrews scoring the narrow win over Gunn with Reed, Brubaker and Dussel rounding out the top five.

The NRA 360 feature got off to a shaky start as a four car pile-up resulted in a second attempt. When the green flew outside front row starter Hannagan drove into the lead over Mitch Brown, Hud Horton, Devin Dobie and Tim Allison. A quick caution for a Bo Barber spin on lap four kept the field close. But, when the green flew so did Hannagan, pulling away from Brown while Dobie jumped into third. Mike Burkin brought out the caution on lap 12, wiping out a big lead for Hannagan.

On the ensuing restart Hannagan could not shake Brown and Dobie who waged an entertaining battle for second. Dobie, who won the NRA feature Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park, drove into second with seven laps to go and started to slowly reel in Hannagan. On lap 21 Dobie drove deep into turn three and caught the cushion and took a wild ride. When the race resumed, Hannagan drove away to the win over Mitch Brown, last place starter Jared Horstman, Horton and Tim Allison.

In the Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 A-main Kyle Peters and Miller brought the field to green with Peters gaining the advantage over Miller, Bobby Clark, Seth Schneider and Brandon Moore. Peters led until lap five when he got bottled up behind a lapped car and both Miller and Clark snuck around him. Miller steadily pulled away from Clark with Peters, Moore and John Ivy in pursuit. Miller was in heavy lapped traffic with seven laps remaining when the caution flew for Jim Taddeo. But, when the green came back out Miller pulled away once again to take the checkers with a huge advantage over Clark.

After the race Clark was found to be light at the scales so Peters would be credited with second and Ivy, Moore and Tyler Street would round out the top five.

Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, July 7 for Crown Battery Night with a lot of "Crown Cash" on the line for the FAST 410 sprints, 305 sprints, dirt trucks and late models.

FREMONT, Ohio - Coming to the checkers for a $5,000 pay day Craig Mintz and Brady Bacon were side by side at Fremont Speedway. At the line, Mintz earned his third straight win by .057 seconds on American Powersports Night.

“I really wasn’t sure where that lapped car was going to go. The lap before he ran the top so I had no idea where to go. I saw Brady under me but I was already committed. I just laid the throttle on the floor and hoped. I’ve never won three in a row. Heck there’s been times I haven’t won three total all year. This crew behind me built a new car after we hurt one at Attica two weeks ago,” said Mintz beside his Eagle Ignition Leads; Real Geese; Design Graphics Group; KS Sales & Service; Anjulina’s; Linder’s Speed Equipment backed #09

“I saw earlier today Robert Ballou tweet we need heavy, wet tracks with some holes. This proved tonight you can have a heavy track that’s smooth. That close of a race is fun. That’s why we do this to put on a show for the people in the stands. I’d rather have a race like that then win by 50 seconds,” Mintz added in the Engine Pro Victory Lane.

Mintz, a two time Fremont track champion, expands his lead in the chase for a third All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series presented by Ohio Logistics championship.

The K&L Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invader A-main was equally entertaining as Brantford, Ontario, Canada’s Jake Brown and Lima, Ohio’s Max Stambaugh swapped the lead while dicing through lapped traffic for six laps toward the end of the A-main. The pair even touched, which resulted in Stambaugh getting a flat left rear tire. A caution with three laps to go put Jake’s brother Mitch right on his rear bumper but Jake drove to his first career Fremont Speedway win.

“I got together with Max and I feel horrible for that. It was close quarters racing in traffic…I’m not that kind of a driver. I have to thank all my guys, my brother, Brantford Hyundai, Strodes Barbecue, Brown Auto Sales and Service, Hills Tire and Gas. What a great race track and awesome fans. We need racing like this in Canada,” Hill said.

The Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints ran their 25 lap feature without any cautions and completed it in just over six minutes. Lindsey, Ohio’s Steve Rando utilized a lapped car as a pick to take the lead from Tyler Street with just 11 laps to go to score his first win of the season, holding off a late race charge from Dustin Stroup. Rando also has a win at Attica Raceway Park in 2018.

“I could see where he was going and he couldn’t see where I was coming from and luckily it worked out for me. I thought I was going to get passed there at the end when I couldn’t get around the lapped cars,” Rando said beside his Davis Fabricators, North Coast Asphalt, North Coast Sealing, Garza Construction, Parkmount Wealth, Attitudes Hair Salon backed #19R.

“We put a new car together over the winter…we actually ran it three nights last year and it’s working pretty good. I think we have some things figured out,” Rando added. “I want to thank my mom and dad, my girlfriend Kayleah, Scott, Chris, Leroy, Tony and Dawn and Scott Gressman.”

The 40-lap Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints were brought to green by Tyler Gunn and Mintz with Mintz gaining the slight advantage over Gunn, TJ Michael, Bacon, Travis Philo and Spencer Bayston. Mintz set a blistering pace, encountering heavy lapped traffic by the sixth circuit which allowed Gunn and Bacon to close.

Bacon finally took second on lap seven while Gunn, Bayston, Michael and Cap Henry waged an entertaining race for third. Just as Bacon and Mintz began racing side by side for the lead Philo spun on lap 18. Two laps later and Bayston’s run to the front came to a halt as he spun in turn two. Another two laps under green and a pile-up involving DJ Foos, Dan McCarron and Thomas Schinderle on the back stretch brought out the red but thankfully all involved were okay.

With a clear track when the green came back out Mintz pulled away slightly from Bacon, Gunn, Henry and Byron Reed. Once again Mintz quickly found lapped traffic by lap 28 and that allowed Bacon to close. Duane Zablocki spun with 11 laps to go, handing Mintz a clear track.

Mintz again pulled away slightly from Bacon and Gunn and Henry bumped and banged for the third spot. With seven laps remaining Bacon mounted another charge at Mintz. As the pair raced into lapped traffic with two laps to go, Mintz bobbled on the cushion in turn four and Bacon ducked to his inside. The pair raced side by side to the white flag and entering the final two turns a lapped car held Mintz up ever so slightly and it was a drag race to the checkers with Mintz winning by a whisper. Henry, Gunn and Reed rounded out the top five.

Stambaugh and Jake Brown brought the field to green for the 25 lap, $2,000 to win NRA A-main but before a lap could be scored Jeff Williams and Cory Turner got together. On the second attempt to start the race Brown got the advantage over Stambaugh, Devin Dobie, Butch Schroeder and Jared Horstman. Horstman, who won the previous night at Limaland Motorsports Park, would flip after two laps were scored, collecting Matt Westfall who also tumbled. Both were uninjured.

When the green flew Brown had his hands full with Stambaugh with Dobie holding off Mitch Brown for third. A caution for Aaron Robnolte on lap seven kept the field close as Jake Brown led Stambaugh, Dobie, Mitch Brown, Schroeder, Kyle Sauder, Cody Bova and Tim Allison.

When Jake Brown encountered heavy lapped traffic with 11 laps to go Stambaugh and Dobie closed quickly. Stambaugh used a lapped car to take the lead on lap 17 but he and Brown made contact and Stambaugh’s left rear tire started to go low. Dobie would pull to the infield seeking medical attention on lap 19 for a broken power steering line and Stambaugh ducked into the pits to change the tire handing the lead back to Jake Brown.

When the green reappeared Jake Brown pulled away from Mitch Brown, Schroeder, Sauder, Bova and Allison. A caution for Kobe Allison with three laps to go gave Mitch a final shot at Jake. Jake executed a great restart and drove to the win over Mitch Brown, Schroeder, Allison and Bova.

Rando and Street paced the field for the 25 lap 305 sprint A-main with Street grabbing the early lead over Rando, Dustin Stroup and Matt Foos. Street encountered heavy lapped traffic by lap eight and Rando and Stroup closed.

When Street had difficulty getting around a lapped machine on lap 15 Rando pounced, taking the lead. Stroup was able to take second on lap 19 and started to eat into Rando’s lead. A bobble by Stroup exiting turn two with three laps to go may have been the deciding factor in the race. Stroup rebounded to pull beside Rando coming to the checkers but Rando hung on for his 11th career Fremont win over Stroup, Street, Foos and John Ivy.

Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, June 2 for Vision Quest Night. Prior to the night’s racing the 10th class will be inducted into the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame. Gates will open at 1 p.m. with the ceremony to get underway at 2:30 p.m. Those planning to attend need to purchase a ticket which also gets you into the night’s racing which features the FAST 410 sprints; 305 sprints, dirt trucks and late models.

FREMONT, Ohio - Though it's early in the season, Gibsonburg, Ohio's Craig Mintz took a giant step forward in his quest to claim a third All Pro Aluminim Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series presented by Ohio Logistics title with his second striaght series win at Fremont Speedway Saturday, May 5 on AmeriGas Night.

For the second straight event at "The Track That Action Built" Mintz dueled with Cap Henry before a late race caution allowed Mintz to take the lead and drive to his 12th career win at Fremont Speedway.

Though it was only for show-up points for the JLH General Contractor FAST 305 Championship Series presented by Engine Pro teams Saturday, they held off the challenges of the K&N Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invader 360 c.i. sprints as Fremont's Bobby Clark edged Matt Foos for the feature win. It was Clark's 36th career win at the track, placing him in a tie for 12th on the all-time win list.

In the 410 sprint feature four time FAST champion Byron Reed jumped out to the lead but spun after a lap was completed, handing the top spot to Henry. Henry held the point until Mintz used the low groove exiting turn four on lap nine to take the lead. Henry regained the top spot on lap 12 and began pulling away. A caution with eight laps to go gave Mintz the chance he needed as he took the lead with six laps to go and pulled away to the win.

"I think Cap must have boiled the breaks. He had them glowing most of the race. He was rolling the top and showed me that was the way to go. Hats off to my guys for all their hard work and I want to thank Eagle Ignition Leads. They are from Australia and not many people here know what they do but they build superior ignition leads and battery cables and they do an awful lot for us," said Mintz of his Real Geese Decoys; Design Graphics Group; KS Sales & Service; Eagle Ignition Leads; Real Geese; Design Graphics Group; KS Sales & Service; Anjulina's Catering and Banquet Hall; Linder's Speed Equipment backed #09.

In the 305/360 feature Dustin Rall grabbed the early lead before third starter Jamie Miller drove into the top spot. Miller pulled away before he made contact with an infield tire on lap eight, ending his night. On the ensuing restart Bobby Clark blasted past Rall as Matt Foos joined the fray. Clark and Foos ran nose to tail until a caution with 10 laps to go. Clark executed a great restart to pull away from Foos slightly but Foos chipped into his lead lap after lap and with four circuits to go was side by side with Clark exciting turn four. As they took the white flag a lapped car was running in Clark's bottom groove. Racing into the final two turns Foos made a last ditch run around the top but Clark was able to rocket off the bottom to take the narrow victory.

"This is our new car and we won the first night out with it (at Attica Raceway Park). We ran it a couple of times after that and we had some problems with it but me and Dave (Foos, chief mechanic) talked and made some changes and it was pretty good tonight. I heard Matt for last three or four laps. I think I burnt the brakes out early so I started struggling on the bottom but until I got pressured I was just going to stick where I was at. We love racing here...I grew up here and I wouldn't mind getting a couple of more wins but they are getting harder and harder to come by," said Clark beside his Fremont Fence; Kear's Speed Shop; Shelluke's Bar; Big D's Pizza; Nagy Equipment; Miller Rigging; Schiets Motorsports; Willey's Towing; Fremont NAPA; B&L Plumbing backed #8.

Henry and Reed brought the field to green for the 30-lap Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 sprint feature with Reed, the track's defending champion, gaining the advantage over Henry, DJ Foos, Mintz, Stuart Brubaker, Jess Stiger and DJ Netto. Reed spin after a lap was scored, handing the lead to Henry. After another lap was recorded Meseraull spin and on the restart Tyler Gunn took a nasty flip but walked away from the crash.

When the green flew with three laps recorded Henry led Foos, Mintz, Brubaker, Shawn Valenti, Stiger and Netto. Mintz blasted into second a lap later but Foos stayed close. Mintz drove under Henry to grab the lead on lap nine and just as the leaders were set to encounter heavy lapped traffic Broc Martin would bring out the caution.

On the ensuing restart Henry pressured Mintz and drove under him as the pair were literally tied for the lead at the flag stand on lap 12. Henry surged ahead when the caution flew for Foos with 14 laps scored. Once the green reappeared Henry pulled away slightly from Mintz as Brubaker closed with Netto, Rob Chaney, Stiger and Briscoe in pursuit.

With eight laps to go the leaders once again prepared to encounter heavy lapped traffic but the caution came out for an Adam Kekich spin. Mintz used the restart to pressure Henry and was able to take the lead on lap 24. Mintz began to pull away as Henry now had his hands full with Brubaker and Netto.

Mintz powered to the victory with Brubaker nipping Henry at the checkers for second with Netto and 16th starter Chaney rounding out the top five.

A pair of 305 sprint drivers - Dustin Rall and Matt Foos - brought the field to green for the 25 lap 305-360 feature that had eight 360 drivers and 12 305 drivers in the field. Rall led the first lap over Jamie Miller, Foos, Clark and Jeff Williams. Miller blasted into the lead on the second lap and began to pull away, building the advantage to nearly three seconds with seven laps scored.

Miller made contact with an infield tire on lap eight, ending his run and putting Rall back to the point. But on the restart Clark and Foos ganged up on Rall to take the top two positions. A final caution with 14 laps scored for Justin Adams who lost a wheel, set up a barn-burner finish.

Clark got an excellent restart but Foos closed quickly as the pair raced side by side while Steve Rando charged into third over Rall and Cody Bova. With two laps to go Foos looked like he might get by Clark with Rando, Rall, Bova and 18th starter John Ivy in pursuit. Coming to the checkers a lapped car on the bottom slowed Clark somewhat and Foos blasted to his outside. It was a drag race to the checkers with Clark edging Foos while Rando, Rall and Bova completed the top five.

The FAST 410 championship series will travel to Sharon Speedway on Friday, May 11, the first ever appearance of the series at the historic track.

The FAST 305 championship series will be back in action Friday, May 18 at Attica Raceway Park.
