Sam Hafertepe, Jr. Hold Off Crockett For Casey's Fall Brawl Glory
Bryan Hulbert – GREENWOOD, Neb. (September 12, 2020) Landing his fifth victory of the season with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, and first of the year with the Nebraska 360 Sprint Cars, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. topped an intense battle with Roger Crockett for his second career victory in the Casey's General Store Midwest Fall Brawl and Bobby Parker Memorial at I-80 Speedway.

Taking off with the race lead through the first four laps, Hafertepe worked the cushion of the four-tenths mile oval while Roger Crockett rode the hub in the Tracker Native Tabaco No. 11. Advancing to the point on Lap 5, Crockett and Hafertepe traded the top spot several times before Roger started to pull away steadily. Pulling to nearly 3.500-seconds on the field before heavy slower traffic came into play, the race stayed green until Lap 21.
Restarting with a pair of slower cars between the top two drivers, the lapped traffic did little to stop Hafertepe as the Hills Racing Team No. 15h shot to the lead on Lap 26. Trading lines the following four laps, Crockett reclaimed the point on Lap 30. Only holding through the next revolution, the pair's run to the finish came after a Lap 33 restart.
Trading lines again through the final two trips around I-80 Speedway, the last lap saw Crockett with a run to the back straightaway. Carrying that run to the hub as Hafertepe railed the cushion, the final dash to the finish put the two in a dead heat with Hafertepe getting the win by 0.093-seconds.
With the event paying out Lap Money, along with other bonuses, Hafertepe's win was worth $5,280. Crockett picked up an extra $1,810 for an overall score of $4,810.
Moving through the field from seventh, the final restart allowed Austin McCarl to advance to the final podium step. Using the cushion, and at times the wall, Scott Bogucki rode third until Lap 34 before the No. 99 was able to slip by. The night's Hard Charger, Matt Covington, picked up nine positions and collected an extra $500 from KnoxVegas Campground and $250 from Speedway Motors.
Jack Dover was sixth with Dylan Westbrook seventh. Carson McCarl, Terry McCarl, and Blake Hahn completed the top ten.
With a field of 41 on hand for the Casey's General Store Midwest Fall Brawl and Bobby Parker Memorial, five SCE Gaskets Heat Race wins went to Jordon Mallett, Dylan Westbrook, Jack Dover, Roger Crockett, and Garet Williamson. Hoosier Tire Qualifiers went to Austin McCarl, Terry McCarl, and Sam Hafertepe, Jr. Cody Ledger and Seth Brahmer topped BMRS B-Features. Point Based Provisionals were used by Chase Randall, Travis Reber. The Nebraska 360's put Rick Cerveny in the show with a Promoter's Provisional used to put Colby Thornhill in the show.
The next event for the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network is the 10th annual Hockett/McMillin Memorial at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo. The event takes place September 17-19, 2020. Tickets are on sale at www.lucasoilspeedway.com

FREMONT, Ohio – Nate Dussel was feeling upset about his racing fortunes as of late. Then a phone call with long time sponsor and family friend Bill Berrier Saturday morning put things into perspective. The Bradner, Ohio driver used lapped traffic to take the lead in the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprint feature on lap five and sliced through lapped traffic on a heavy Fremont Speedway Saturday, Sept. 12 to earn his second feature win of the season and the $5,000 payday on Kistler Engines/Kistler Racing Products Night.
“I had a pretty tough conversation with Bill Berrier this morning…you know his wife is going through hell right now. I was pretty pissy about how we’ve been running and last night and I thought grow up dude there’s people fighting way bigger fights than we’re fighting. This is for Bill and Cathy…hope it lifts their spirits a little bit,” said Dussel in the Engine Pro Victory Lane.
Republic, Ohio’s Cap Henry, who earned the 2020 Attica Raceway Park track championship, wrapped up the 2020 All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series Presented by the Baumann Auto Group with his third place finish.
“Things kind of went our way there that last little bit at the end. We got lucky and started on the front row of the heat race and got through the heat race. It was hard to pass but we knew we were okay starting there in the feature and just had to run our race. I can’t say enough about Zack, Brett, Jim, Conner and all the girls behind this deal. Everyone puts in so much time and effort and this is really special,” said Henry of his Lane Racing machine.
Fremont’s Paul Weaver inherited the lead in the Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprint feature with just three laps to go when Shawn Valenti pulled off the track. Weaver went on to score his fifth win of the season at Fremont – it’s his 12th overall in 2020 with seven wins at Attica – and it was his 56th career win at “The Track That Action Built” putting him seventh on the all-time win list. The victory also gave weaver the NAPA of Bryan AFCS Presented by Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales championship.
“I closed on him (Valenti)….I don’t know if there was something wrong…maybe he ran out of tear-offs. I was using a tear-off every other lap. This whole weekend everything went perfect…starting out front and getting heat race points…just everything went my way. Hate to see what’s going to happen tomorrow,” said Weaver beside his B&B Drain Services, Hampshire Racing Engines, Seagate Sandblasting, M&W Excavating backed #1W.
Austin Black, 18, from Clyde started racing go-karts when he was four-years-old. This year he decided to strap in a dirt truck and compete. The youngster looked like a seasoned veteran, leading all 20 laps and holding off former track champion Kent Brewer and Jim Holcomb for his first ever win in the Burmeister Trophy Dirt Trucks. After an opening lap yellow, the feature went non-stop and Black not only was battling to maintain the lead but had to do so in heavy lapped traffic the last half of the race.
“I have to thank Tony Myers, my mom and dad and everyone that helps me out. When I saw Jim Holcomb coming I thought I’d better get going and next thing you know lapped traffic came and that’s all she wrote and I had to figure out what to do. This feels like a dream right now,” said Black beside his Ala Carte Café, Fireside U Pull It Auto, Quality Welding, Norman Family Collision, ABC Used Cars, Southridge Market, Big D’s Pizza, Lee’s Famous Recipe, The Mane Station, Jones Manufacturing, Redline Racing, Auxter Funeral Home backed #78.
Dussel and Duane Zablocki brought the field to green for the 30-lap 410 sprint feature with Zablocki grabbing the early lead over Dussel, Stuart Brubaker, DJ Foos, Caleb Griffith, Cap Henry and Trey Jacobs. The leaders raced into heavy lapped traffic by the fifth circuit and Dussel used it to grab the lead.
Dussel began to pull away, slicing through lapped traffic like a surgeon with Brubaker taking second on lap 12 with Zablocki, Henry, TJ Michael, Dean Jacobs and Tim Shaffer in pursuit. The first race stoppage came on lap 20 when Caleb Griffith tumbled in turn two; he was okay. After allowing drivers to put on more helmet tear-offs, the race resumed with but only for a lap when something broke on Trey Jacobs’ mount. On the restart Dussel pulled away again with Henry, Michael, Foos and Dean Jacobs giving chase.
Dussel hit his marks perfectly the remaining eight laps and drove to the win over Brubaker, Henry, Michael and Foos.
“First half of that race I was probably one of the few who could maneuver. That last nine laps I couldn’t stop plowing and I thought man I’m going to give Stewie (Stuart Brubaker) this win. I would go through two tear-offs in one corner and I thought man that doesn’t add up for 30 laps…I’m going to be out of tear-offs. I fell in line here and there but took my chances when I had to,” said Dussel beside his Northwest Installation/Industrial Movers, Fausey Farms, Berrier Custom Fabrication, JRC Transportation, NuFarm, Al Davis Carpet and Laminate, Real Geese Decoys, Gressman Powersports, A Plus Auto Center, Box 7, Speedways Bar & Grille, DGGI, Wurtec, Swindell Speedlab backed #1.
Mike Keegan and Shawn Valenti brought the field to green for the 25 lap 305 sprint A-main with Valenti bolting into the lead over Keegan, Jamie Miller, Kasey Ziebold and Paul Weaver. After a lap was scored two cars got hooked together bringing out the caution. On the restart Valenti pulled away from Keegan, Miller, Ziebold and Weaver.
Keegan great run came to an end when he slipped over the cushion in turn two and made contact with the wall. On the restart Valenti again pulled away from Miller, Weaver, Ziebold, Zeth Sabo and Kyle Peters. Heavy lapped traffic came into play with seven laps to go with Valenti leading Miller and a closing Weaver. Weaver took second on lap 20 and three laps later Valenti slowed and pulled into the infield.
Out front, Weaver drove to the win over an impressive run for Sabo, Miller, Seth Schneider and Ziebold.
After an opening lap crash, the dirt truck feature went non-stop for 20 laps and was very entertaining. Pole-sitter Black grabbed the lead over Dustin Keegan, John Brooks, Jim Holcomb and Kent Brewer. Brooks took second on lap two with Holcomb taking the spot a lap later. From there it was a tremendous three truck battle the remaining 17 laps.
Black sliced his way through traffic while Holcomb and Brewer traded the runner-up spot just feet behind him every lap. Holcomb made several moves to Black’s inside while in lapped traffic but couldn’t get the pass.
As they raced to the white flag, Holcomb tried to get under Black and hit one of the infield tractor tires, putting Brewer into second. Coming to the checkers Brewer tried to race under Black but couldn’t get by as Black took the win by just feet over Brewer, Holcomb, Shawn Valenti and Jamie Miller.
Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, Sept. 19 with the 410, 305 sprints and dirt trucks in action. Then on Saturday, Sept. 26 it’s all sprint cars as the FAST series 410s come to town along with the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series non-wing sprints with the 305 sprints on the racing card as well.

RAY SWINEHART AND KYLE LILICK HIT PAY DIRT WITH GRANDVIEW FEATURE VICTORIES SATURDAY
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. September 13, 2020 . . . The 2020 Grandview Speedway racing season shortened by the virus has been a series of ups and downs for two time former Modified point champion Ray Swinehart.
Numerous occasions Swinehart had his No. 33 hooked up and appeared to be on the way to a possible victory only to be hampered with some form of problem that eliminated his chances.
Saturday night in the activities sponsored by Hope Mortgage Team that sponsors Sportsman drivers B.J. Joly and Lex Shive, Swinehart took the early lead in the 30-lap T.P. Trailers Modified NASCAR Advance Auto Parts feature and stayed there until the drop of the checkered to go home $3,850 richer for his first win of the year. He received $2,500 to win, plus $300 from T.P., $1,000 from Hope Mortgage and an extra $50 for third in the Cash Dash also from Hope Mortgage.
Kyle Lilick took advantage of the lane leader Jesse Landis opened up with one lap remaining in the 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman feature and went on to claim his second triumph. The win, his second of the season, was worth $1,800 – $600 to win, $200 from TP and $1,000 from Hope Mortgage.
The highlight of the evening activities was the crowning of the point champions in each class.
Craig Von Dohren finished fifth in the Modified feature, but it was enough to rack up his 11th title with a total of 3133 points which was 227 points ahead of runner-up and defending champion Duane Howard.
The Sportsman chase had a closer point difference between first and second. Brian Hirthler had to fix two broken axles while in the pits under caution in the feature and was one lap down, but with an 18th place finish he was able to finish with 2258 points, just five points ahead of second place finisher Brad Arnold.
At the onset of the Modified feature Swinehart was off and running with John Willman, recently released by the doctors to race following a gall bladder surgery; Justin Grim, Rick Laubach and Ron Kline in tow.
Within seven laps Swinehart had a comfortable lead built up leaving a three-way battle for second between Willman, J. Grim and Laubach. Attempting to get in the mix were Craig Whitmoyer and Ryan Grim.
By the Dan’s Deli ½-way hoagie mark the order behind Swinehart was now Laubach, Willman, Mike Gular and J. Grim.
The first caution was brought out on the 17th lap when Louden Reimert slowed in the fourth turn with a right rear flat tire. The restart was void after Meme DeSantis and Joe Funk III tangled in turn four. Swinehart continued his rapid pace when action continued, but by this time Laubach, Brett Kressley, Gular and J. Grim held down second through fifth. Von Dohren was trying aimlessly to move into fifth, but to no avail.
Even though lapped traffic was among the front runners Swinehart could run the top and bottom lanes to get by them.
All the suspension changes tried throughout the year which was a learning curve paid off for Swinehart as he pulled into victory lane for the first time since September 1, 2018 when he won the Forrest Rogers Memorial race. Placing second was Laubach, for his best finish, trailed by Kressley, Gular and Von Dohren. Sixth through tenth were J. Grim, last week’s feature winner Kevin Hirthler, Whitmoyer, Dillon Steuer and Jeff Strunk. Jared Umbenhauer who started 27th and finished 16th received $250 as the Hard Charger from Hope Mortgage.
Qualifying heat winners were J. Grim, Louden Reimert, Swinehart and Ryan Grim. Dylan Swinehart and Doug Manmiller won the consies. R. Grim won the Hope Mortgage 3-lap Cash Dash for $300.
Polesitter Bryan Rhoads led the Sportsman feature for seven laps until Steve Young, who previously won the Hope Mortgage Cash Dash for $300, passed him on the outside on the restart needed when Brandon Edgar stopped in turn one.
Hirthler pulled into the homestretch infield close to the edge of the track on the ninth lap, but it wasn’t until the 10th lap the yellow was thrown putting him a lap down. Hirthler went pit side and in that time the red was thrown for a fire in Chris Esposito’s car ending his night. This mishap allowed Hirthler more time to work on his car and return. Young remained first with Landis trying to overtake him.
Landis became the new leader on the 12th lap restart needed when Tommy Scheetz Sr. and Scott Kohler tangled in the second turn. Behind him Cole Stangle, Lilick, Young and Ryan Beltz diced for the remaining top five positions.
The yellow was waving again on the 14th lap after Brett Gilmore stopped in the fourth turn. Hirthler went pit side once again and while he was in the staging lane along the back pits waiting to return modified drivers Jeff Strunk and Mike Lisowski noticed a broken axle and along with brother Kevin Hirthler quickly changed it and he came back out. On the Dan’s Deli ½-way restart Landis was now being chased by Lilick, Beltz, Young and Stangle.
Lilick made several bids to take control, but Landis, in search of victory, kept him behind.
With one lap to go Landis opened up the proper line which was the break Lilick needed and got past him.
Lilick never looked back and went on to his second win of the season followed by Landis, for his best finish, Beltz, Stangle, the highest crate engine finisher earning an extra $100 from the track and Jack Butler. Rounding out the top ten were Kyle Smith, Lex Shive, John McGovern, Mark Kemmerer, who started 23rd and received $250 from Hope Mortgage as the Hard Charger, and Brad Arnold. Lilick was the only repeat feature winner of the season in the Sportsman division.
Esposito, Young and Shive won the heats. Consi winners were Dylan Hoch and Kenny Bock.
Coming up on Friday, September 18 is the Freedom 38 for Sportsman with the winner earning $3,550. In addition to the regulars several visitors are expected to test their talents with action set to get under way at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 19 the 50th Annual Freedom 76 Modified race that rewards the winner with $35,550 plus lap money. The action set to start at 7 p.m. Fans are invited to enter the speedway grounds between 9 a.m. to 12 noon to reserve seats. Saturday action will include qualifying events, the $1,000 to win Kirsten Snyder Web Design & Photography Cash Dash, the Schaeffer Racing Minuteman 20 topped off with the 50th Annual Freedom 76.
Bobby Gunther Walsh and his sponsors will sponsor the Hard Charger Award worth $500. Bob Hilbert Sportswear will present a jacket to the winner.

McIntosh Dominates at Port City Back in the Family Owned Car
Belleville, IL. (09/13/2020) The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League took a visit to Port City Raceway, and after a dominating 25 laps Cannon Mcintosh came out on top. McIntosh elected to start at the back of the field to try and capture an extra purse, and he did just that.
Early in racing action, Tristin Thomas of Burlington, WA. Took the lead coming from the fourth starting position. Jonathan Beason of Broken Arrow, OK. followed along in the second position and Morgan Frewaldt of Kansas City, KS. in third.
After a few early cautions, McIntosh had made his way up to the fifth-place position on lap 8 of the 25-lap feature. Thomas led the field to green after a caution and McIntosh set his sights on the top position. McIntosh stepped out and took the top side and never looked back. Cannon took the lead from Thomas following in second and Beason in third.
McIntosh still in command with five laps left, as he endured lapped traffic ahead. A caution caused the field to get stacked back up and McIntosh never looked back. Cannon McIntosh captured the trip to victory lane back in his family owned #5T at Port City Raceway. Jonathan Beason finished third and Noah Gass captured the third position.
"We had a lot of yellows early and I was able to get through the wrecks, there were a few that were close, but I just had to keep my eyes open. I ran a lot of laps here growing up and I'm just really comfortable around this racetrack" States feature winner, Cannon McIntosh.

BACON BACK TO THE TOP OF THE USAC SPRINT POINTS WITH LPS TRIUMPH

Putnamville, Indiana (September 12, 2020).........Brady Bacon and Lincoln Park Speedway have been a perfect match for each other ever since a mag issue sidelined he and the Dynamics, Inc. team prior to the start of the feature back on July 3.
Since that point, Bacon reeled off a victory there the following night, then recorded a runner-up finish in the first feature on Saturday, followed up by another victory in the second feature of the doubleheader to close out Saturday night at LPS with just about the best result any driver/team could ask for.
And, to add the cherry on top, Bacon and Dynamics, Inc. reclaimed the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car driver and owner point leads in the process after entering the weekend atop the standings, but falling back to third in the pecking order following a 10th place result Friday at Bloomington (Ind.) Speedway.
"Lincoln Park - two features in one day, a first and a second," Bacon exclaimed. "You can ask for a little better than that but not much better. We'll definitely take it after we struggled last night at Bloomington."
The victory was Bacon's 34th in USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car competition, putting him just one behind Jon Stanbrough and Rich Vogler for 10th all-time. Though Bacon leads the points, he aims not to just merely "point race." He intends to win races and let the points sort out however they may, and he's accomplished that better than anyone else in the series this year with the victory marking the Broken Arrow, Okla. driver's series-leading fifth triumph of the year.
"We're pretty fortunate to be in the battle at all," Bacon said. "We had some mistakes early in the year. To even be in the hunt, we're pretty fortunate for than and that other people had some misfortune. So, we're just taking it a day at a time, just going out here and winning races. Obviously, you have that in the back of your mind when you see other guys struggling a little bit. You kind of have to put it in a little bit of a conservative mode and not do anything stupid, but at the same time, you want to go out and win races."
Bacon started the second 30-lap feature from fifth on the grid, but it was frequent Lincoln Park weekly winner A.J. Hopkins taking off to the early advantage from the pole position for the first two corners on the opening lap. However, it was a resurgent Kevin Thomas Jr. who secured the lead on the opening lap, powering to the front with a big run off the top of turn four to lead by a car length at the line.
Bacon dropped back to 7th during the opening laps, cruising the top early on as he sought to figure out the best path forward to get to the front until discovering a trail a little bit lower than seemingly everyone in front of him was chasing.
"I got a little worried there at the beginning," Bacon admitted. "The top kind of got rolled in, then I thought, 'you know what, it's going to get dirty up there. They aren't going to be able to run up there.' So, I just started rolling the bottom, rolling the bottom and it came in and we got to hitting that bottom off turn two."
Trouble ensued for Hopkins, however on lap eight as he, C.J. Leary and Mario Clouser were involved in a fight for 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Leary slid past Hopkins for 2nd off turn four. Behind him, however, Clouser's right front wheel climbed Hopkins' left rear, which resulted in damage to the left side nerf bar of Hopkins' ride and a flat left rear tire, ending Hopkins' night prematurely with a 22nd place result.
When racing resumed, Leary took the fight right to Thomas for the race lead. Leary drove by Thomas with a slider in turn three on the lap eight restart, providing him the lead at the line by a half car length. However, Thomas replied with a slider of his own in turn one, reclaiming the position, albeit briefly, before Leary ducked back under exiting turn two to retake the spot, which he'd hold throughout the mid-portion of the race.
As Thomas and Clouser chased Leary on the topside, Bacon utilized the catfish line to 3rd by Clouser on the tenth lap, then to 2nd by Thomas on the 13th lap. Another three-lap increment later, Bacon wheeled the Dynamics, Inc./Fatheadz Eyewear - DriveWFX.com/Triple X/Rider Chevy No. 69 underneath Leary in turn two on lap 16 to snare the lead once and for all, and the timing couldn't have been any better from Bacon's point of view.
"We're able to get to the lead, then it started laying rubber," Bacon recalled. "So, I thought we were pretty safe. I was worried about it laying rubber on the top, but you can't really give up what you're doing when you're in the lead."
Bacon stayed the course for the entirety of the second half of the event, hitting the bottom lap after lap. The top-four began to drift to the bottom of the surface as they tried to keep pace with Bacon as he continued to pull away from the rest of the field.
Shane Cottle, who started 17th and won at LPS with USAC back in early July, found the bottom early, and proceeded to drive all the way up to 3rd place with 10 laps remaining as Thomas opened the door by pushing up at the exit of turn two.
The victory was Brady Bacon's 34th in USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car competition, putting him just one behind Jon Stanbrough and Rich Vogler for 10th all-time.

For Bacon, it was three sails to the wind as he posted a full-straightway advantage with five laps to go while beginning the process of entering the tail end of the field in traffic.
Despite that fact, Bacon's lead never dwindled as he executed a victorious performance with precision to score his third career USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car victory at LPS after earlier winning in 2015 and now twice with the series in 2020. He also captured a non-sanctioned Sprint Car victory at LPS in June of this year.
At the checkered, Bacon was 3.964 seconds ahead of Leary, Cottle, Thomas and Friday night's Bloomington winner Chris Windom. Cottle's 3rd place performance netted him B & W Auto Mart / KSE Racing Products Hard Charger honors for the night after starting 17th in the feature.
Leary's series-leading fifth fast time of the year during Fatheadz Eyewear Qualifying was the 28th of his USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car career, surpassing Dave Steele and Chase Stockon for sole possession of 12th all-time.

RUTT WINS WALL STADIUM SPORTSMAN RACE SATURDAY
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ Third generation stock car driver Neil Rutt III of Edison raced through the pack to win the 25-lap Sportsman stock can feature race Saturday night at Wall Stadium Speedway. It was the first win of the 2020 season for last season's 4 Cylinder Stock Driving Champion.
After a third turn scramble on the initial start, Rob Anderton of Howell jumped to the early lead over former champ Kevin Eyres of Colts Neck and Rutt. A handful of cautions for minor incidents slowed the early going before Eyres took the lead near lap ten as Rutt followed him through for second. Rutt then shadowed Eyres until the 14th lap when Eyres drifted high in turn two and Rutt dove low to take the lead. Carsten DiGiantomasso of Jackson then took over second and haunted Rutt to the finish line. Eyres held on for third, with Jake Nelke of Manahawkin and Jackson's Jarret DiGiantomasso fourth and fifth.
“We have had a couple of tough races this season, but when you see how hard your car owner and crew members work you just keep digging,” Rutt said in the winner's circle. “You just never give up!”
Rutt also expressed get well wishes to fellow competitor Micheal Rising, who was injured in a non-racing accident in July.
Bryan O'Shea of Neptune City won his fourth main event of the year in the companion 25-lapper for the Factory Stock cars. Robert Stack of Manahawkin held his ground early in the test except for a few laps when Howell's Johnny Carpenter took the lead before Stack regained command.
O'Shea then took the lead near lap 20 and raced on to the win over the challenges of Mike Montano of Freeport, N.Y.. Billy Both of Rahway, Tom Rajkowski of Fords and Brick's Kevin Flores completed the top five.
Sal Liguori of Hazlet tracked down early leader and eventual runner-up Ian Ashford of Farmingdale to win the 4 Cylinder Stocks 25-lap feature race. Sean Vuksanic of Wall, Farmingdale's Doug Ashford and Ryan Maher of Neptune City were third through fifth.
Peter Bruno of Little Silver raced to his second straight win in the 25-lapper for the Legend Cars over early leader Mike Fulton of Raritan. Brick's Bryan Gardella, Eric Green of Red Bank and Joe Przybylinski of Fairfield wrapped up the top five.
Former champion Mike Tillett of Bayville grabbed the lead on lap four and drove home with his first win of the year in the Limited Late Model 25-lapper. Asbury Park's Buddy Miller, defending champ Chris Silvestri of Hazlet, Ricky Giannino of Patchogue, N.Y. and Stephen Puglisi of Toms River completed the top five.
The 2020 Saturday night regular season continues this Saturday (Sept. 19) evening with the annual running of the 127-lap “Cliff Krause Memorial” race for the Modified stock cars. Factory Stocks, 4 Cylinder Stocks and Legend Cars will also be on the card which honors the memory of the promoter who many credit with saving the 70 year old speedway. The pit area will open at 1:00 p.m. Grandstands will open at 4:30 p.m., qualifying starts at 5:30 p.m. and main event action starts at 7:00 p.m.
Current plans call for Saturday night racing action to continue through October 10 with updated schedule details always available at www.wallspeedwayracing.com.
